Emily, the recruiter is always spot on. She is funny and professional and gets you in and out quick. There was this older woman in there though who I guess was the boss? But she didn't act like it. She came out and yelled at them while myself and other people were sitting in there! How extremely unprofessional! I felt bad for them and then she looked at us like we were nothing because we wanted a temp job. All in all I loved my experience with this company!

After not hearing from her for a week, I checked in with the recruiter to be told she was still waiting. Then I checked in a week later and she still had no updates. Then, I never heard from her again. Was another candidate chosen? Was the position froze? I have no clue. After working with other staffing agencies (those where I got and did not get positions), I realized this isn't the way it should go. Other recruiters maintain good contact, help you fix your resume, provide career advice and try to find multiple positions that are a fit for you. Maybe I hit Astyra at the wrong time, but it wasn't my best experience.

Spent almost $20 to fax everything they demanded or else I wouldn't get the job, they told me. Later found out that the agency (Exclusive Staffing) didn't even send in all my paperwork on time to the client so it delayed the client a whole week to set me up and they were not happy with Exclusive Staffing. Once in the job, they were not helpful and only available in the morning (East Coast time) to answer questions; they do not return calls right away and forget about emails....unanswered as well. I don't know how they stay in business! They are unprofessional and old school. The only good thing is they have direct deposit, but takes a long time to receive paycheck stubs by mail only. Forget it if there's an error on the paycheck....they don't care and won't talk to you. Compared with other employment agencies, Exclusive Staffing in Virginia doesn't come close to being as good and professional. Stay with agencies in California. It may be a better choice.
