If you've ever worked with a debt consolidation company you'd know that they open a separate savings for you to put money into each month causing your accounts to fall delinquent. Until your savings reaches a certain amount is when they have you reach out to your bank(s) and negotiate, which is something you could do on your own anyways. Debtwave is easy to get started as long as you've been through some type of financial hurdle (COVID for most of us). The only thing is you have to close the account that you are wanting lower the debt, which can affect your credit score but not significantly. 10/10 would recommend!

This puts recipients in the position of ignoring that information or paying for court records (~$20) to investigate whether it is actually them or someone with the same name. A professional law firm is equipped to investigate on their end at a lower cost (e.g. knowing which pages of which records to pull to cross-reference an address, likely lowering the court record cost to $1-2) prior to sending targeted letters. Kazerouni Law Group does not bother, they have likely done a cost-benefit calculation that marks this level of diligence as not worth their time and money. They prefer that the recipients of their ads shoulder the higher cost.
