I have 4 daughters. 3 so far play Division 1 volleyball so I have a lot of years fo cheering courtside and taking them to beach tournaments and all the prep that goes with that. Well I decided it is my turn to play. It has been over 25 years since I have done competitive sports so I was nervous about how to get started and where to begin. Insand was the perfet place to start and continue. It feels so good to do the work outs before or after the volleyball classes. The other members and coaches are so welcoming and positive. Each day I attend I feel I gain strength, agility, and improve skills. Little by little I hope to become good enough to play with my husband again (who played D1 indoor) and kids again!! I have hope!!

Early morning workout with a beautiful view.

Ready to mix it up? The workouts are challenging but made fun in a great team environment. The coaches (Hi Herb & Fern!) care about great form over speed, but will still push you to help you improve. Throw in a volleyball to keep it fun (no volleyball experience necessary!) and you've got a killer workout that will keep you coming back for more. I've never been a membership person but the combination of great programming, caring and knowledgeable staff and the best workout location has changed that. Come and try it out, no risk. First class is free!

This is the best workout I've ever experienced. I've had gym memberships, spin memberships, Peloton, CrossFit, I've done it all and the INSAND workout takes the cake. The coaches are so motivating & encouraging- they push you to a limit you didn't know was possible. They are constantly coaching and have their eyes on everyone that's working out. I love that the workouts incorporate volleyball, but you don't need any experience to keep up. Each movement is designed so that it can be adjusted for different skill levels. I find myself working harder than I've ever worked, and having fun while I'm doing it! This is truly a special group of people, a family & team environment. I always leave with a big smile on my face. Thank you INSAND team!

The hours are awful, closing at 9PM on weekdays and 6PM on weekends. When you ask why they have shortened hours they say "you should email a suggestion for later hours." Not that they ever listen to any requests because the gym always feels like a heated sauna with no air and when you request for the AC to be turned down, they do nothing. At the current moment, the entire gym does not even have AC, it's broken and they said it will take 2-3 weeks to replace. Spoiler alert: they can't even have a functioning temporary AC unit. See for yourself all the pictures attached. Dirty towels overflowing, no clean towels in the fridge, broken metal weight racks, dirty machines, the list goes on and on. I've been to over 20 Equinox's and this is by far the worst one. It is terribly run, neglects its customers in almost every way, and simply cares about maximizing its profit. Do not bother signing up at this gym, absolute waste of money. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

The moment…read moreyou walk into Los Cab, it feels like you stepped back into the 1980s -- and not in a charming nostalgic way. The facilities are incredibly dated, tired, and poorly maintained. The locker room and shower facilities are especially gross. No towels, no bath products, nothing complimentary. You have to bring everything yourself -- even your own lock for the lockers unless you want to pay extra for one that already has a lock attached. For the membership prices they charge, that's ridiculous. The gym/workout area feels like an old budget fitness center from decades ago. Ancient equipment, outdated layout, and just an overall neglected feel. The entire club is in desperate need of a renovation. And if you're joining primarily for tennis, look elsewhere. Tennis clearly takes a backseat now because the club is dominated by pickleball courts. If you're a true tennis player, the nonstop loud popping noise from pickleball paddles will drive you insane. To make things worse, they don't even have a proper app for court reservations. In 2026, you still have to CALL IN to reserve a court like it's 1995. There are far better tennis clubs in Orange County that actually invest in their facilities and tennis programs.

They have some fun holds too (aka baby heads LOL) Clean, well air conditioned so that it's not musty even when it's crowded. Expansive gym area and even a slack section! Parking is decently easy as it shares a lot with other businesses, especially if you come when those stores close, in our case at 6:30PM on a Wednesday. I opt for the 7 punch pass bc it comes out to ~$28 per visit and it's good for a year.

The ambiance is great cause it's safe and communal it's a fitness gym in fountain valley so it's a younger more active crowd. Climbs: 10/10 the climbs are awesome! A lot of variety from intro to v10+! When they change the climbs they don't rate them for a little to give the excitement of unknown. Gym: 9/10 many may not like this gym as there's very minimal machines including cables, but there are dumbbells up to 100lbs and plenty of squat/bench racks! You can get your first lesson/entry free!
