I have been a patient here for years and have been very happy. I've had 3 different providers and they have all been excellent. My current provider, Dr. Abdul, is exceptionally caring and competent. All the nurses, techs, lab people and receptionists are very good. I love the patient portal which allows me to easily communicate and check test results. It is great for appt. reminders. Their telemedicine component is simply to use and great for minor issues. It's also handy to have Inova imaging down the hall. read more

They are the worst! They can't even manage to schedule you an appointment for a visit . Every doctor works from home they don't have a set schedule, they don't care about the patients they will cancel your appointment the day before. The most unprofessional people & rude on top of that. Maybe if you are interested in a virtual visit this place is for you! But I'm sure your insurance offers virtual visit too & FREE. Save your time & energy. read more

I have been seen by Amanda Dickey a few times, and she is amazing. She listens to my needs, and you can tell she really cares and is passionate about her job. Amanda listens to what I have to say and gives you the bigger picture to think about. I never feel pressured, and when I leave our appointment, I feel like I am leaving with much more knowledge than when I started. If I were just basing this review on her provided care, this post would get 5 stars. However, initially, it was difficult to get an appointment at a time when I really needed one. Offering more times or being able to squeeze a patient in, when the situation warrants it, would be a good thing to provide, especially for those who have been with the practice for years. read more

I've been going here for over 5 years. Called today and held for 20 minutes to make an appointment for my yearly health check up with Serrano only to be put on hold for another 15 minutes. When appointment setter came back said Serrano is not taking new patients and suggested I see the physician assistant Amanda Dickey. Well 1st of all I'm most certainly not new. I've seen Serrano 3-4 times in the past and 2ndly I've seen Amanda Dickey in the past as well and certainly was not impressed by her quick 5 minute visit. Scripps was my original Dr. 5 years ago but always too busy to see me when I call to schedule. Recently, back in March, I was able to get a virtual appointment with him for an illness; but when I followed up online with him to get a test a week later there was no response from him or any of their office staff. Innova and their staff is rarely available when needed. When you are able to get an appointment it is a quick 5 minute visit with very little if any follow up. I would not recommend this group to anyone wanting quality Healthcare. This is it for me and my family. read more

I've been taking my parents here for the past couple years and we have a pleasant experience with the doctors and nurse practitioners. However, their front desk staff needs some cleaning up to do. We always encounter the front desk staff either rude, uninformative, and just overall unprofessional. And when there's a full staff working - they're very obnoxious in the front desk where the waiting area is. Because we appreciate the doctors there, we kept returning. After a couple years of going here... the front desk staff assisted in scheduling annual physicals for both my parents but failed to inform us that they no longer accept our insurance. Not only did I have to take time off work but we had to drive over an hour for nothing. So inconsiderate, unorganized, and unprofessional. read more

My main complaint about this Inova location is the scheduling & reception staff. I've called for appointments & had to call several times. I have been hung up on twice after reaching someone. If you are Ill you can never get an appointment the same day. I should have stayed at the Oakton location. They are professional. read more

Dr Jocelyn Serrano is an incredible physician who has one of the best "bedside doctor personality's" of the many physician's I've had due to both medical issues & due to moving several times for work. She's incredibly easy to talk to & extremely knowledgable. Would highly recommend her! read more

HOW the fuck do you run out of flu shots in multiple locations during flu season?? And for several days, are they stupid? Really? the most primitive tool they need they can't even be responsible and buy more fast to ensure that even with a high demand in shots, they always have some or have some coming ASAP. I've been coming here for years and love how everyone is so friendly. Had to bring my husband to get checked with Dr. Serrano and she is the best! My husband who hates to see doctors is always willing to see her, which says a lot. Won't be changing our primary care anytime soon! read more

I see Dr. Lisa Kimberly Malloy and she had great bedside manner and very knowledgeable. I don't feel any sense of time during my appointments, she does not rush me. I also appreciate that she's right to the point and speaks to me on a level I can understand. I wouldn't say most doctors are compassionate and caring of patients versus numbers but Dr. Malloy comes as close as this day in age comes. I am happy with that. Though I do wish she would take the time to follow up with patients at least twice a year, it's definitely on you to make sure you're getting in and being monitored. I rate this facility mainly on my experience with Dr. Malloy, as the grounds are clean and adequate, nothing to mention on that behalf. read more

Clean, friendly but very disorganized. When I got to the x ray office, which is right down the hall they wanted to X-ray the wrong foot. Then the other office called and said they need to see me back there aAFTER the X-ray. I took 15 min to get the new paper work for the x ray and then after the x ray I went back to the office and told me they forgot to tell me they needed blood work, then they told me it was too late and to come back tomorrow read more

I see Dr. Scripps & Dr. Dickey. They are the absolute BEST! Hands down. Both are very friendly, patient, engaged and really really take their time with each patient. They also have great time management. I don't think I've ever waited longer than a few minutes for either Dr. Dr. Dickey really listens to you and educates you on your diagnosis which is great- whether its more serious or just down to having bronchitis. Dr. Dickey also follows up really quickly and will get you a referral super quick- never had such good experience. Can't say enough good things about either Doc. read more

The front office needs to improve its customer coordination and follow-up. The Drs and nurses are very kind and competent, but they are hamstrung by the front office challenges. We have moved to a different practice after three negative experiences, all front office driven. read more

We have had Inova in Gainsville as primary care for the last two years. Once you get past the business end, which handles the calls (they don't pick up or you are on hold forever) the Drs and nurses are great. If you need a referral, the front desk often does not know how to make sure that happens. Granted, they have to deal with the insurance, but this is their job as the patient is out of this loop. My wife waited for two weeks for a referral that sat in their inbox at Tricare because they (the front desk) has not figured out how to work within the Tricare system. Perhaps other insurance providers are easier, but in this area Tricare is huge...they know this. So, this has been a recurring problem, referrals, then waiting for the Dr. to read the results, then waiting for ANYONE to contact us for the results. Then trying to get BACK in touch to get resolution. Their system is just built against service...which is unsatisfactory. The latest was their (Gainesville location) fax machine was broken so they received NO referral responses all week. The bottom line is their front office is just not run well and the patients suffer. We are going elsewhere and until or unless changes are made, I recommend you do the same. Peace. read more

Dr. Serrano is great but very hard to get an appt with (because people love her). I've also seen Dr. Lender who is also nice but not very personable. Dr. Malloy is amazing as well! She takes her time, and you can tell she genuinely cares and she really listens to you. I've also seen Dr. Scripps who is phenomenal! He's super friendly and listens actively. The medical assistants are awesome too! Nurse Tara is AMAZING! Any time I have any questions for them or the doctor she is on it and makes sure to return my call if need be. She actually remembered me from when we spoke over the phone once about an RX concern and she was able to call me by my name when she saw me in for a different appointment, and we started conversing about every day stuff. She's super sweet! Rachel is an RN there who is also very nice, responsive, and timely with phone returns. I would've given this place a higher rating but the front desk staff is never friendly and always seem like they're in a "blah" mood. Kali M. in particular is always very rude! I asked about a balance I owed and she responded and looked at me like I was stupid when she didn't let me finish my sentence and asked about it again because I was confused. Every time I check in they straight up ask "name." Not any hi, how are you, or how may I help you. I've worked medical reception so I speak from experience. They should at least smile...(I've never seen any of the FD girls smile there). read more
