If you want to receive almost zero helpful information, be given hack job legal advice from…read moresomeone who is not a lawyer, and have to spend time and energy undoing emotional stress caused to your elderly mother by a financial advisor who uses scare tactics instead of addressing concerns calmly and rationally, I highly recommend Annmarie. She will quickly create an entire false narrative where she knows everything and then refuses to consider any conflicting information, no matter how valid the source, that challenges that narrative. Annmarie not only thinks she knows more than two different estate lawyers, but after all of two appointments, she also believes she knows more about my mother's life, circumstances, goals, desires, habits, etc than I do. When I asked her in writing to (a) not give legal advice, (b) refrain from preying on my mom's obvious anxiety about aging to hawk an unviable "plan" and (c) give my mom *more options* than the *one* Annmarie provided (which doesn't accomplish my mom's goals in any way, shape or form) so *my mom* has proper risk/benefit analyses to help *her* (NOT me) make informed decisions, this is her response: "It is my fiduciary responsibility to plan according to her needs and no one else's. I have given a thorough in dept analysis of what I believe is a prudent use of her available funds, a realistic (and in my opinion generous travel budget) for the next 5 years taking into account her tax situation and her Medicare premiums. In all my planning relationships I put my client's best interests first and foremost, something you don't seem to appreciate. My analysis will not change based on how much you would like to spend of your Mother's assets." So, yeah, make Annmarie your financial advisor and enjoy the benefits of having her violate the legal protections you put in place to help your parents, inflicting her own personal insecurities on your loved one to win an argument (or avoid admitting she got something wrong, whatever), and then being accused of being the money-grubbing villain she invisions in her head, all while still ending up with zero reasonable/workable financial planning strategies.

Yes, he did return emails and was willing to make many appointments to speak via zoom, but in those conversations he gave very generic advice about diversification and investing in retirement, etc etc -- the type of advice you could read off any generic website with absolutely no insight into my actual situation despite my giving him access to all of my financial information. The only specific advice I ever got was to move my retirement account under his management where he charged 1.4%. Very dissapointing.

New client - Had a scheduled call with Darren Wendroff "Director of Communications" LOL For being a "Communications Director" from the beginning of the call, he treated me very arrogantly as if he was doing me a favor. He said to me that he didn't have much time as if he was doing me a favor, I tried to give him all the information I know and could, he then replied with a high tone... If you don't give me accurate information, I cannot give you a quote , pretty interesting introduction to this firm Wendroff & Associates to a new client, if they are willing to treat you in that manner in a introduction, I can only imagine how they will treat you if you have a need, emergency or concern. He got quiet and hung up on me - GOOD LUCK if you go with this firm.

I submitted my documents weeks in advance (and ahead of their quoted deadline date for me to provide). I don't appreciate the implication that I submitted my documents late when simple email records can verify I submitted ahead of their deadline. Just say you were busy this year, had to deal with some staff shortages, what I don't appreciate is trying to pass it back on to me.

My card won't "tap", even at THEIR ATMs. I needed a safe deposit box, they say they don't have them. I have tried MANY times to use my "app", but it never works. It is frequently "unavailable", won't take my password (which IS correct), and absolutely will not take photos for mobile deposit of checks. All of this necessitates that I go in to the bank in person to do business, AND that I had to find another bank with safe deposit boxes, and open an account there. Also, they recently deposited someone else's check into my account! How does THAT happen? Last time I went in to the main bank in Lexington Park, the young women was quite "flippant" with me, rudely and casually dismissing my concerns. I am going to another bank.
