One of the receptionists was talking down to a patient, telling her that she actually needed to go home and fill out paperwork before she could be seen. The patient asked if the receptionist if they could simply help her fill the form out, and they refused. I was flabberghasted. They apparently had told the patient to fill out the paperwork before she came in and the patient would be too late to be seen. It's funny but something similar happened to me. About halfway to their office, I tried to be considerate and let them know that I'd be 20 minutes late. They forced me to reschedule, explaining that the doctor refuses to see patients if they're late. I guess I should have just arrived without calling in although I wouldn't be surprised if they just made me go home. There are great doctors and the staff is independently terrible. However, I think this office environment is affected by Dr. Gold's personality because she's a person where everything must be done her way. Medical Expertise What really worried me is something Dr. Naomi Gold said about surgical procedures and infections. I consulted with 2 different doctors who dismissed her concern. As a result, I ended up going with a different PM&R doctor. (I went with Dr. Mingi Choi who thoroughly impressed me.) I'm sure that she has a lot of experience. But she seems to me that she's a doctor that just memorizes stuff without considering if it makes sense. I believe the best doctors are the ones who think critically and assess each situation independently. When you combine a provincial mentality with a dictorial nature, I think it's a recipe for disaster.

I chose to go to the middlesex office because well it's convenient for me. Although to be honest I'm closer to the other office. But any who...... first impressions are usually the deciding factor of many things. Life seems to be about first impressions. But let's down to the nitty gritty here. Walk in to a waiting room and sign in window where i am usually greeted with a hello,hi or welcome back. Room is open with a divider separating the waiting area from the therapy area. Therapist is usually notified of your arrival. Ok let's get "physical". Keep in mind though i can only review the people i come into contact with in this office. But I'm sure everyone is just as good. Patty is my therapist. She's great at her job. I feel like she knows exactly what she's doing and doesn't push me beyond my capabilities. Listens to my worries and adjusts my plan accordingly. Keith I believe is man behind the practice. An owner if you will but unlike any owner. He's on the floor treating and talking with patients. Very professional and it shows. Michelle and *Anne* (hope that's right) are also therapists here. I personally haven't had any experience with them but they also are very professional with there patients. Never a bad thing said about any of the therapists.... Now for the "therapists in training". ???? They have a lot assistants. And let me tell you. These girls are no joke. They work and make sure your doing your therapy correct. Very observant and yet very personal. Keeping an eye on every person and the therapists to ensure they have what they need. Just wish I could remember all there names because they deserve praise also. So in closing I'll spell out what B.E.S.T physical therapy means when it comes to your treatment... Rachael was my main therapist for the first knee replacement 2 years ago, so it was great to work with her again. She is knowledgeable, professional and encouraging. I also worked with Michelle in the past and intermittently this time. They worked diligently as a team to get me back on track to full recovery. I was assigned to Rachael who was phenomenal with making a plan that focused on my ability to walk on foot without the need for further ankle supports . She was very knowledgeable answering all my frequent questions regarding my foot recovery . While always maintaining their professionalism they managed to add some humor to keep you positive to make sure you see that light at the end of the tunnel .
