When it came time to renew, we wanted to switch to monthly payments, only to be told that monthly memberships are not offered and that we would need to commit to another six months paid in advance. Apparently, the only flexibility is the ability to pause your membership after paying thousands of dollars upfront. Requiring families to commit to six months or even a full year with no shorter-term or month-to-month option is unreasonable. Families' schedules, finances, and circumstances change, and customers should have the ability to choose a payment structure that works for them. To me, this kind of rigid pricing model feels exploitative rather than customer-focused. A business can offer membership incentives without forcing families into lengthy financial commitments just to continue participating. The martial arts instruction may have value, but the lack of reasonable membership options and flexibility is extremely disappointing. I would encourage anyone considering enrollment to carefully review the contract and understand that you may not have the option to pay monthly, even after completing an initial commitment. Families deserve transparent pricing, reasonable choices, and the freedom to decide how they pay for a service.

No matter how busy she is, she always makes time to ask how you are doing. The program at Master Chang's blends taekwondo instruction with character building skills and experiences. The staff and class helpers foster an atmosphere of positivity, support, and respect amongst the kids in a fun and engaging way. My child looks forward to every class he goes to, and this is the first activity where he hasn't complained once about going, or asking when it will be over.  We recently also had his birthday party there and it was super fun for all involved, including even the parents who got to participate in the taekwondo lesson, watch a performance from the talented demo team of students from this location, and hold boards while their children broke them with the skills they learned at the party. From what I saw of the training it didn't seem too particularly strict, but all the participants and the trainers definitely enforced respect and discipline. Upon arrival I actually got to see an earlier class filled with younger kids (seemed like ages 6-10) and they were doing a mix of punches and kicks in sparring gear, and katas. The instructor seemed like a balanced mix of caring, strict instructing, and fun. I also liked that I, as a guest, was greeted very kindly by the primary instructor and the rest of the trainers. It was a refreshing environment to be in. They offer a lot of deals and also do events like birthday parties. If you want a deal, stop by and talk to the staff!
