So when Dr. McGuffie and Boca Dental Arts came highly recommended, I thought we finally found our forever dental home! The office is located upstairs in the Boca Grove shopping center on Powerline Road, with plenty of parking. Take the stairs next to Lemongrass Hot Pot, and they lead you directly to the front door. As the daughter of a dentist, I'm fanatical about keeping up with routine dental checkups. Boca Dental Arts is boutique dental care at its best. Dr. McGuffie and his wife, Debbie, ran the office together and were hands-on with everything. It was a breath of fresh air to know you were being treated and cared for from the moment you walked through the door. Every procedure was explained thoroughly, and you left feeling confident that you were in good, honest hands. Now for the latest...I'm starting to think it's me or maybe it's my husband! I received an email saying that Boca Dental Arts would be closing, and our December appointments were canceled. The email cited challenging economic circumstances beyond their control. After all the years of searching, I really thought we found a great knowledgeable dentist who kept up with the latest treatments and equipment.. I'm still hoping Dr. McGuffie will be relocating somewhere in the area, and I'll get a phone call or text saying they're taking on new patients. The hygienist was AnaMaria and she was so gentle yet thorough. Always asking if I was doing ok or if I needed a bit more topical etc. I'm one of those people who is very nervous during a cleaning but she could not have been more comforting while at the same time giving me the best and most thorough cleaning. Dr. Scher took a look at the X-rays and inspected my teeth based on the images and notes, and he was also just a pleasant and comforting Dr. Told me what I should do to keep my teeth in tip top shape. Firstly, you must know that I write this review with decades worth of dental procedure history all over the country.  This is the ONLY time I've felt compelled to write a review. I had to have a wisdom tooth removed this past week on a couple of day's notice.  As you can imagine, I was not at all looking forward to it and was consumed with anxiety.  Let me be very clear...this was the absolute most painLESS dental experience in all my years.  Additionally, the attention to my well being was superlative.  There was a moment where I literally blinked one eye closed and the dentist stopped working to make sure I wasn't feeling any pain. This kind of treatment trickles down all throughout their office. The staff was so kind and careful. Checking in was all done contactless and safely.  They were so kind. When I came home from my procedure, my family couldn't believe that I was coming back from a wisdom tooth removal. It was unidentifiable on me.  I just went right back to living my life. In my vast experience, a lot of dentists over advertise their "painless" practice but so often under deliver. This couldn't be further from the truth with this office. The waiting area is clean, nicely decorated with plenty of reading materials at your disposal. Once you are in the "chair" (which we all dislike) the good doctor is terrific. He listens, he is kind, has a great touch, all of which makes the visit, as pleasant as it can be under the circumstances. His assistants are exactly as he is, which tells you that they enjoy working with him if nothing else. However, as it turned out it was an extremely positive experience and I could not be happier with Dr. Schwartz and his entire staff. I must emphasize here that as someone with a Masters of Public Administration with a concentration in Management, I am rarely impressed with doctor's office staff, but I have nothing but kind words for everyone here, and it just keeps on getting better. Before I get started on the nitty gritty details, I want to stress that I research any doctor BEFORE I even step foot in their office. And since I was so absolutely NOT thrilled with the prospect of needing to go to a dentist in a state where I did not know any, I did even more research than usual to find Dr. Schwartz. I can tell you that hands down no one in a very large radius even came close to being as highly regarded by his patients than Dr. Schwartz, and with my experience with him under my belt, I know why. In my defense, I had severe immunity issues due to 32 years of illnesses and was understandably concerned for my safety. After my first appointment, which was an incredibly thorough evaluation, I returned home and told my Mom to make an appointment to come see him ASAP. I want to point out that my Mom had the exact same reaction to both his office staff and him as I did. They are both keepers. We actually tried to reschedule our return trip to NYC in order to complete some of my dental work with Dr. Schwartz. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, it simply was not possible. However, despite that fact, I was able to complete the vast majority of work that needed to be done in my mouth. In fact, I was there today, and will be back in two days time, just so Dr. Schwartz can complete as much as possible before I leave Florida. I have very few rules that I live by (okay, I am stretching the true here a bit) but one of the rules I most believe in, is in not going to a dentist twice in one week. No offense meant here by my comment. It simply isn't my favorite thing to do! Despite that rule, the reality of the situation is that I am both lucky and privileged to see Dr. Schwartz twice in one week! Keep smiling!

Early last week I had an implant work loose (it was only about 4 years old) and eventually it just fell out of my mouth leaving me with an embarrassing gap in my smile. I talked to a few offices that almost guaranteed that I'd have to start from scratch with the old implant removed and the entire painful and expensive process of a new implant repeated. After a glowing family referral, I decided to first visit Thomas Dental to explore my options. It turns out Dr. Chase Thomas has extensive cosmetic dentistry experience, and just as important, the ability to think outside the box. After a thoughtful examination of my mouth and the implant, he was able to expertly repair the tooth and post and restore it to my jaw implant - all in perfect condition - and in and out in about an hour! I don't often leave reviews, but if you are seeking a great dentist with an expert, friendly staff that can save you time and money, you cannot do better than Dr. Chase Thomas in Boca Raton.
