One thing that makes a huge difference is how an owner resolves issues. Shaiq clearly knows how to attract and retain customers with quality and efficient service and accountability that you can trust. We had an ad hoc oil change when everyone else was booked at the end of the day because it would also take an hour. His mechanic showed us that it was fully synthetic oil and this transparency is something not all mechanics let you observe. The oil change was so fast that it took less than 10 minutes with a courtesy free inspection of what else may be needed, ranging from replacing the rubber blade on the rear windshield wiper to a paint job for some scrapes on the body of the car. Pricing seemed reasonable without much margins that other shops may overcharge. Moreover, the oil change was ~50% off other stores' price when you present their flyer for a new shop that opened in February with this promotion. The next day, the oil pan shield somehow got loose and dragged on the freeway. However, Shaiq accommodated us with two options where a mobile repair would be faster than me dealing with our car insurance to get a tow truck. Nonetheless, we got the car to the shop for a courtesy repair of the oil pan shield after work hours where he removed the dragging part to prevent further damage and had already ordered a replacement that arrived within two days. He even prioritized our repairs to show his dedication without any conflicts or awkwardness that we normally experience with other mechanics. The replacement took less than 20 minutes and looks spanking new. It's rare to find someone who loves his work, takes care in performing well in his craft, and values you as a customer to respond promptly and make things right by working with our disabled family with various impairments. This shop showed the value of customer care and loyalty with a chance of redemption for all parties involved to benefit from a win-win resolution. I'm grateful for RAFL Motors moving to our neighborhood and look forward to our next inspection, tire rotation or change, and repairs based on what I've seen from Shaiq and his team.

Wow! This auto body shop was a lifesaver to my fiancé…read more The day before (Saturday) the snowstorm my fiancés car started to smoke/steam from the hood. Being a Saturday, not many shops were open. I used Yelp, and found this place. Not only were the reviews great, but they were open! My fiancé called, explained his current issue and the lovely gentleman on the phone took his name and told him to bring it in! He brought his car in and they told him they probably won't be able to get to it today due to closing in a few hours, but would try and then with the incoming storm it would probably be Tuesday. Not a problem at all! After I picked him up after he dropped his car off he said the gentleman behind the counter was very nice! Fast forward to Tuesday morning (due to the storm, didn't open Monday) they told him they couldn't find anything wrong or a reason for the smoke/steam. They stated they looked it over, drove it, had it run and still couldn't find anything. They also repaired another issue that a previous mechanic quoted him over $2k to fix for about $500. My fiancé was and is very happy with the service he received on his car. He stated he will now bring both of our cars here for all of our car needs!

I had made an appointment for an oil change using a VALID coupon that was advertised on their website and Facebook. When I arrived, I was told they would not honor the valid advertised price because their website hadn't been updated, and they wanted to charge me an additional $20. I was trying to explain in a calm manner why this VIOLATES federal laws like the Federal Trade Commission Act. I was truly shocked that a small business like this was so unaware of basic business practices. When I questioned why I should have to pay more because of an error on their website, the conversation turned into a heated argument. I explained that customers shouldn't be penalized for a business's failure to update its advertised pricing. I asked to speak to the owner and instead a male employee came out to yell at me when I attempted to explain how this could be misconstrued as a Bait & Switch tactic. They eventually agreed to honor the coupon, but then told me to "never come back." After years of being a loyal customer and referring friends and family, I found the entire experience horrific and unprofessional. Businesses make mistakes, but how they handle those mistakes--and how they treat loyal customers--matters. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I can no longer recommend A & R Auto, BUYER BEWARE
