The house was overdue for a refresh, with dry rot in several spots, leaking gutters, and a deck that had seen better days. From the start, the Mendez team was professional and easy to work with. The crew spent three weeks on the project and were on site 6 days a week, working steadily and keeping the property tidy. The prep work is what really sets them apart. They power washed the entire house and deck, replaced multiple areas of dry rot, and fixed our leaking gutters. Then they applied two coats of primer and two coats of paint. The deck was sanded and varnished with two coats, and it honestly looks like new. One standout moment: We came to them with an AI-generated color scheme, and they implemented it perfectly. The three colors we selected came out exactly as we pictured them, with crisp lines and clean, even coverage. They also removed the flower balcony from our front facade, which gave the house a cleaner, more updated look. Junior, the owner, oversaw the project from start to finish and made sure every detail met a high standard. Angel and Valdemar were respectful, hardworking, and took real pride in their craft. Sandro, the carpenter, replaced the rotted wood quickly and seamlessly. The quality of the finished work reflects the care the whole team put into prep and detail. He is professional, detail-oriented, and has a great sense of humor. The quote comprehensive and easy to understand, and there were no surprises at any point during the process. The team arrived on time every morning. Their work is meticulous from start to finish. They began by masking off all the surfaces that would not be painted with paper and plastic protection. They took great care of our furniture, moving and covering it carefully. They patched all the cracks and imperfections in our drywall to create a perfectly smooth surface. Then it was time to prime and paint. Our team was highly efficient--I was surprised by how quickly they were able to complete the job without cutting corners or otherwise sacrificing quality. We ended up not liking one of the colors we had chosen, and Junior was able to get the team back the next day to re-paint that room. The finished walls are beautiful. Junior and team did excellent work and we will absolutely be hiring them again!

I was a bit crazy working with 2-3 contractors for several different parts - like interior painting, window treatments, floor refinishing, etc. AND I was going to be have surgery and being out of pocket while much of this work was being done. I was so lucky to find Geley at Herrera1 painting. He gave me an estimate. I provided him with my color palette and what color when where. An open plan two story loft and 8 different paints. Again - all while I was in hospital. Sounds insane, I know, but Geley delivered flawlessly. The panting and finishing touches are perfect. Any time I have anyone ask me about a painting contractor Geley at Herrera1 is my go to recommendation. Oh - and the price was within the budget I had planned and the place is amazing. I hope to be able to come back here and add pictures- but my place is still a bit chaotic with the recovery, etc. Contact Herrera1 Painting. You cannot go wrong.

What really impressed me is the prep work they put in--scraping off old flaking paint, filling gaps and holes, and ensuring the foundation was solid. They also discovered and fixed a ton of dry-rot wood; work that wasn't in the original scope but was absolutely necessary for a job that will last. Every edge is clean, the coverage is flawless, and the color transitions are perfect. It's clear they take pride in their work and understand that great results start with proper preparation. What really stands out is how genuinely nice and friendly the workers were. They were professional, respectful, and a pleasure to have around the house. They answered questions, accommodated our needs, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. That kind of friendliness makes all the difference. We chose Bigler based upon many good reviews here on Yelp and his initial Bid being inline with most competing contractors and finally, an assurance that everything would be done on time and within budget. He estimated 5 weeks to complete the project, but they finished in just 4 weeks--from July 11th through August 8th--and were completely offsite by August 13th. They stayed on schedule and left the place spotless. You can't ask for better than that. If you're looking for a painting company that combines quality work, friendly service, and reliable timelines, Bigler Universal Painting is the clear choice. Highly recommended.
