The cashier, Johnny, was friendly and clearly working hard, but when he asked for help bagging from three nearby employees, he was ignored while they continued talking amongst themselves. I ended up bagging my own groceries, which I don't mind--but it was frustrating to see a hardworking employee not receive support when help was readily available. At one point, an employee even made eye contact with me while I was bagging and then walked away. This seemed less like a staffing issue and more like a lack of teamwork or oversight. I hope management can look into this, because employees like Johnny deserve better support.

They said they do not carry the product. I did no better at Spring Hill. I explained to them that they want to buy the Wormwood that has been stripped of thujone, because thujone is a psychoactive naturally-occurring ingredient. Which causes anxiety. Thujone is in absinthe. As in early European Bohemian 19th century artists going insane. Because I mentioned that I had also taken one (literally I did say "one") Allopurinol, she mentally discarded my notes also. You could almost see it go in one ear and out the other. I full expect them to go out and buy the wormwood oil tincture without the thujone removed EVEN THOUGH thujone-removal is an option in their industry. Except for this know-it-all attitude, they are otherwise pretty good, and definitely the only local option besides Gator Nutrition.

I love all the staff that work there honestly. The owner, Mrs. Nancy is the sweetest and most helpful person. Mrs. Betsy is super nice and very knowledgeable too. Nancy's Natural Foods really has helped me so much since I had my car accident. They're all so knowledgeable and I could talk to them for hours on end about natural medicine and holistic health. Nancy's was recently remodeled I believe last year and received a bit of an update which was nice. I think they could also do with a light relaxing music through a small tv or Bluetooth speakers set up to promote calmness and relaxing environment. I wish they had an area to purchase educational content like books on herbs, qi gong, reiki, etc. I also wish they had fresh herbs available for teas, baths, or soap and cosmetic use, but I know the humidity in Florida doesn't make it necessarily stable to prevent mold in herbs etc. I also wish they had a room where they could hold educational talks or workshops. It's 100% volunteer, so make sure you call ahead or head there early, just in case they're not fully staffed. The deals are worth it, though, and the money goes right into the library system, so it all stays local. You never know what you'll find, and its well organized, clean, and tidy.
