In July 2021, after seeing an orthopedic doctor and receiving a round of HA gel injections previously, my knee was in an abundance of pain. I could barely walk and it was affecting my ability to work, workout, drive and do normal activities with friends and family. At the advice of a friend, I called Active Care. I had never been to a Chiropractor before but was desperate for help. I was welcomed with friendly faces, a clean and open office, an insurance sheet that told me exactly how much I would owe for what and when, and Doctors with positive attitudes, outgoing personalities, and who truly want the best for you. At my first appointment, I tearfully told Dr. Christa Andreoli that she was "my last hope" for relieving the pain I've lived with for 50 years including Scoliosis, Severe Osteoarthritis and Sciatica. Over the years I've seen other chiropractors, an acupuncturist, 12 years with a massage therapist (not covered by insurance and can no longer afford) rheumatologists and my primary physician. I've been taking a blood thinner for over forty years so can't take the prescription drugs available for pain management and have been limited to Tylenol (no affect) and offered various opioids and narcotics which can lead to additional problems if used long-term (no thanks). It took a long time to get to the point I was at and I had no expectation of being suddenly "cured". But after several spinal adjustments, my Sciatica was history. Amazing! I continue to make progress with my back issues and while I still have occasional bad days, I am no longer in serious pain 24/7. I'd also like to thank Trina and Ross. Trina is the Clinic's X-ray tech and handles the myriad of insurance, scheduling and other issues always with a beautiful smile and encouraging words.
