Stayed here with my partner on Saturday 30th for one night. The area is residential and quite and only 5 minutes from the seafront. Prior to arrival I spoke to Angela who was very helpful and had no issues with my partner and I checking in early before attending a wedding which was a great help. The staff and owners were friendly and polite on arrival. I checked in quickly and ascended the stairs (no lift so not suitable for people who require disabled access) to my room. We had room 3 which was the four poster suite, it was very spacious with a good size en-suite bathroom. Despite the dated decor the room was bright (lots of big windows) and airy and as well as the four poster bed had a living room area with a sofa, table, arm chair, side table with tea/coffee and biscuits, tv and magazines. The room also contained a dressing table/draw and chair, wardrobe, two dressing gowns, a second arm chair and bedside tables. The bathroom was spacious and had white fluffy bath sheets and hand towels and consisted of a fill size bath would shower overhead. Sadly the water temperature was a little temperamental and the shower had no pump so the pressure was weak but was adequate for a quick wash. The room was spotless and the only parts of the room which need attention due to feathers, dust and cobwebs is under/behind the bed and the top frame of the bed but other than that the room was spotless.
We needed an iron the morning of departure which was quickly delivered to our room however no ironing board was available so we had to use the table which wasn't a problem for us. The hotel does not offer breakfast but there is a pub restaurant which offers lunch and dinner. There's a small car park right outside and a little seating area/front garden where you can enjoy the sunshine.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. read more
