A couple people in our group had some food allergies and she was so on top of it the whole time checking to make sure that they got food without their allergens. For my entree, I had the "homemade steak and ale pie" served with fresh veggies, homemade ale gravy, and a blanket potato. My entree was excellent! Everything about it was amazing. It tasted completely homemade and delicious! The pie was so flavorful and the veggies were done perfectly! I found good veggies really hard to come by in England, but the Golden Lion hit it spot on! My husband had the "battercrisp haddock fillet" served with chips and mushy peas. I have to say, I had a taste of his...and these were THE BEST fish n' chips that I have ever tasted in my life!!!!! And I've tasted A LOT of fish n' chips in my life, so that's saying a lot. It was so tasty!
