Great experience, would definitely go again! The price is not bad for all that you get to do!

Looking to check horseback riding on the beach off your bucket list? Then you've come to the right place! Inlet Point Plantation is an extremely well organized and run company. The staff were all friendly and personable. They took the time to get to know us. Plus their horses are well cared for and in a low stress environment. What an absolutely phenomenal experience we had for our first time trail riding. Mallory greeted us with a smile and was super kind allowing us to roam the stable and pastures while we waited for them to round us up for the ride. Danielle was a great trail ride "leader" making conversation, pointing out unique facts along the trail path, and ensuring everyone was comfortable as we rode. Mallory and Danielle could tell our youngest was really into horses and allowed us to hang around a little more in the stables after the ride. Something I felt they didn't have to do but wanted to make it special for her. The horses looked well taken care of and very well mannered. You won't regret taking a ride with Inlet Point Plantation! read more

I went with my family to ride the horses because I love horse racing so I wanted to see if riding one would be fun. Me and my family loved riding the beautiful horses on the beach. I rode a horse named River. She was a little crazy because it kicked the giant horse behind me but I loved the horse. I would absolutely recommend going here to ride. read more

My husband and 3 (16,12, 10) of my kids went on the tour along the water. The hour ride did not disappoint. My kids shared everything about the ride when they returned and did not have one compliant. Thank you for the wonderful ride and memory my kids will remember forever. read more

Thank you for the cool and relaxing trail ride along the costal waterway. The horses were all angels!

Yesterday we took a beach ride at Inlet Point for my birthday! I don't know how else to say it, but THIS WAS THE BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER! Our guide, Darby, was amazing! She talked about the horses, where they were from and about the wildlife as well. We even saw a bald eagle perched high in a tree! The barn was immaculate and the horses were all so friendly and chill. When you go for a ride, be sure to bring them cut up apples and carrots. The horses will love you for it! Also, note that when you reach the end of the roadway, don't turn around! You're not lost! Head down the sandy beach road for a couple mile and you will come to the barn! The barn is immaculate, and the tack room so organized, too! It's definitely something to see! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED CHOOSING THEM FOR YOUR RIDES! Thank you Darby, Mallory and the staff at Inlet Point for making this such a fantastic experience for me and my husband. It was great to be back out riding. We are definitely coming back soon! Hopefully with a group, too! YOU GUYS ROCK! read more

Inlet Point Plantation - Love this gentle giant! He's a retired boy, but so super friendly! Bring him cut up apples when you visit! - Horseback Riding Near Me - North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Today we went on the best trail ride we have ever gone on!!! Having 2 daughters who have competed in Horse shows for years, this seems to be something we do on vacations. None of us had ever ridden on the beach before. The horses were so well taken care of and mannered and the staff was friendly, helpful and sweet. London was our guide and she really did an amazing job managing the whole group, getting photos of us and the other family with the ocean in the background - both individually and a few as individual families, too. The two girls who got everyone situated on the horses did a great job matching talent/ability with a horse who would suit them. I can't say enough exceptional things about this place. The only cautionary tale I have to tell is that the driveway is at least 2 miles long, so just keep going. We should have added 10 minutes to our travel time to get them through the driveway bc it is so long, so we were just a little late. That being said it is a beautiful 2 mile drive through the woods. Exceptional!!! read more

It's a beautiful barn and location with horses that are extremely well taken care of. The ride was beautiful and the horses were amazing, very calm and sweet. Only concern was some safety protocols, new/inexperienced riders were given very little to no horse safety information and were not given clear instructions on how to ride. The staff also isn't equipped to deal with unable bodied riders or people with mobility issues which caused some issues during mounting and dismounting. During dismount and mounting I was definitely concerned about the safety of the riders and horses, the staff didn't seem to understand the severity of the situation which also caused concern. Over all the experience was wonderful, beautiful ride and scenic views. Definitely a must go to for anyone with some horse experience who wants a fun and gorgeous ride! read more

What an experience! This place is one in a lifetime. Where else can you ride horses on a private beach? Upon arrival, we got to check out the horses. You can tell they are VERY well cared for and happy. I am an intermediate rider and my husband is a beginner. We had the most perfect horses you could ask for. The entire ride was stunning. Before we even got back, my husband couldn't wait to make reservations again. Thank you guys for such a once in a lifetime experience. The horses, staff, and facility is a reason we will definitely be back every year. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day to end our vacation. read more

I took my mom here for her early Mother's Day present when we visited Myrtle Beach last week. It was absolutely wonderful! When I called ahead to make the reservation, they were super helpful and friendly. We wanted more than a walking trail ride, so we did the experienced beach ride, where we were able to trot and canter. It was amazing! The view on the beach was magnificent. The horses were so well behaved and listened well. Paxton was our guide and she was the best! Someone comes and takes pictures of you riding, so you can purchase those if you want. Ours were great pictures! It was relaxing and fun overall. Something to check off on your bucket list. You even get a beautiful nature drive going to the barn too. Super cool place. I highly recommend it to everyone. read more

Awesome time! Darby was a great trail ride leader and provided relevant and interesting commentary about the horses, land and wildlife. They offer several different options from a trail ride to waterfront ride on the beach. Our horses were responsive, and easy to handle for my boyfriend who was a first time rider. We can't wait to come back on our next trip to North Myrtle Beach. read more

We went on a morning beach ride and it was great fun. Horses were trailered to the beach and we followed in an old van that has seen better days. $95 for one solid hour. Photographer took 250 pictures and it was $90 got the jump drive. There were five in our group with varying skills. We would have liked to trot a little bit however weren't offered the option. Guides and handlers were knowledgeable young people who were a pleasure to spend the morning with. This is our second time riding with Inlet Point Plantation and we would do it again. read more

I have been to Inlet Point Plantation multiple times now, and it NEVER gets old. I'm an experienced rider so I love the walk, trot, canter 2 hour ride. Cantering down a private beach is every horseback rider's dream, and I'm thankful I've gotten to experience it multiple times. They also have great rides for those who may not be quite as experienced. The staff is amazing (Especially Mallory), and not to mention the free ice cream at the end! I will definitely be back for more. read more

I wish I could rate an actual ride with this stable but I can not as they never called me back after I left a detailed message, repeating my number three times to make sure nothing was lost or misunderstood. I guess business is that good for them that they can afford to turn down a private, advanced ride. read more

We did the combo ride (hr on beach w/Ashley and an hour in the woods with Darby). It was fun. No running (two-edged sword). Darby narrated a small bit of history about the plantation which was interesting. Ashley answered several questions about the plantation. It was a very peaceful (slow) ride. The horses were well-mannered. Everyone was happy to see us! We'd do this again. read more

Really really loved this experience. 1) horses are rotated and get time off and days off between rides 2) they provided bug spray for us 3) great pics at a decent price for the flash drive 4) staff was amazing 5) free ice cream at the end of the (very hot and very sweaty) ride Apparently there is a combo package worth looking in to if you're in for a longer ride. I felt really good about the health of the horses and the way the staff interacted with them. The horses were very well behaved. No one was fighting for control. Beginner safe and friendly. I look forward to returning! read more

Extremely disappointed! My family decided to do the trail ride at Inlet Point Plantation partially based on the fact that their website clearly states they take photos before and during the horseback riding, then offer a flash drive of the photos taken for $30. This is not credible information, however. When I asked about the photos and flash drive, I got a flippant "We don't do that anymore." We requested some pictures be taken on my daughter's phone. It seemed to be an inconvenient nuisance for the staff to do so. Perhaps this is why we weren't told when one staff member was taking the pictures (so we weren't even aware she was taking them until she was done; and why we were all talking to each other and not looking at the phone camera--because we were placed facing the sun and she never said she was about to start taking pictures. The pictures are horrible and unusable. We would gladly have paid double the stated price for the flash drive of photos taken by a photographer that they clearly offer on their website... Would have loved to know no such thing is offered anymore. We're not fans of this business's false advertising. read more

GREAT service - super fun riding happy, healthy horses on the beach! I wish I didn't need to take crowded ride in a hot van to get to the beach ride location start point since my husband doesn't do well in the heat - but the company gives everyone ice cream after the hot ride and does their best to be warm and friendly ! read more

Awesome..This about sums it up. My wife and I have never rode before and we are in our 50's. A secluded location which even made the drive back to stables interesting. The horses were very friendly and very well trained. We took the $50.00 trail ride. Great choice for us newbies..plus 90 degree weather and trail ride was cool in and out of shade....highly recommend excursion....Our trail guide was very informative and reassuring....go on a ride..you will be glad you did even when your rump hurts the next day read more

We had a group of 10 which they were able to accommodate in one trip no problem. The staff was extremely friendly and our guide was knowledgeable about everything on the trail. My 9-year-old daughter is crazy for horses and wanted to go somewhere where she could ride on a horse by herself (not walked by someone else). Our hotel recommended Inlet Point Plantation and it is a WINNER. A little trouble finding it with the GPS (call them and they will help you get the right coordinates) but after we found this remote stable we were thrilled. Great stable, great horses. Nice walk through woods next to water. My daughter had a blast! Price was perfect - $50 per person for an hour. They took photos after and sell them (only thing that felt at all like a tourist snare) but, since I was riding and couldn't shoot a photo was happy to get a shot of my daughter on the horse. All in all, a GREAT vacation activity. read more

We went for the hour ride on the beach yesterday and had the time of our life! I am a long time rider but my three friends are novices to say the least. They were scared before we went but I twisted their arms, but 5 minutes in they were totally relaxed because the horses were so calm and well behaved. The guide was knowledgable and friendly. Everything was top notch. The beach was gorgeous! I have been on lots of these on different vacations and I am also a bit of a bleeding heart so I asked lots of questions about the horses care. I was very impressed. I loved that they keep them year long and even into retirement. So many of these places sell off their trail horses every winter to slaughter houses, not these group! Riding on the beach is something very special and they made it a golden moment. read more

My husband and I both came horseback riding after seeing an advertisement in one of the many coupon books in the area. We will definitely be returning and recommending it to all of our friends. I have plenty of experience riding but it was my husbands first time on a horse. The ride was perfect for us both. We took the inlet tour and the hour felt like it went by in no time. The view was phenomenal; even though we didn't spend the extra money to take the sunset ride, we definitely got our money's worth on the view of the waterways. The horses were well mannered (if not a little stubborn) and perfect for riders of all ages and experiences. The trails were smooth and beautiful. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful. There was time taken in the middle of the ride to stop for pictures that you could purchase at the end. There was even a lovely treat at the end- free ice cream! It was the perfect finish to a hot summers day. read more
