Communicated with the piercer for awhile before finally coming in with my girlfriend to get it done. It was very quick and as painless as getting that area pierced can be I imagine, and the atmosphere was chill and the price I paid for the piercing wasn't atrociously expensive (I have 8 piercings and they have ranged from fairly cheap to obscene in pricing). For context, I've had ear piercings, navel, and tongue and all others were a quick and relatively painless experience with no complications. When I got my tragus, it was a nightmare the entire time. The shop was clean and everyone was nice. The initial piercing went smooth and the pierced went to go thread the jewelry through. They lost the connection between the needle and jewelry and began to dig around in my ear for the hole. I have a pretty high pain tolerance and a high tolerance for mistakes in the workplace. We're all human. But the piercer continued to fiddle until the friend accompanying me said something because I had tears rolling down my face. He decided to re-pierce the hole since he couldn't find it. At this point my ear is pounding and already inflamed, but I was already there so I said go for it. It was super painful. But we got the ring through and left. Vowing never to come back. The tragus didn't heal great. It was very slow and developed a bump at the puncture site. I won't blame this on the piercer, since it could have been a number of things. But the area was very traumatized and I haven't had any issues healing in the past. Overall, I wouldn't recommend anyone to get pierced here and surely won't be back myself. The tragus eventually did heal and it looks good now. The placement was good and the piercer was nice, which is why I gave this experience 2 stars instead of 1.

I got my nose pierced a few years ago but have had trouble with it because I had the helix ring which as come out for one reason or another and I haven't always been able to get it back in. Several people have suggested getting a flat back ring instead and I was happy to find out the Red Octopus offers those so I went by on 5/1 to get my nose repierced for like the third time now lol. I was greeted upon entering at the front desk and I explained that I wanted to be sure they had the ring I needed and the issues I was having, they confirmed they had it then showed me the jewelry options. I picked the size ring I wanted and filled out my paperwork and paid and I was taken back right away. I had some scar tissue as I've been repierced before so she moved the spot slightly, explained what she was doing and got to it. It was very quick and painless. The shop is clean and open. My piercer, Ray was very sweet, professional, knowledgable and quick. I don't know if I spent a full 20 minutes in there from start to finish and I wasn't rushed at all. I was really missing my nose piercing and am so happy to have it back, with a more secure ring and at a size I love. The new kid on the block Jonny has grown so much as a artist in the past year.
