A Five-Star Experience at RENOVA SPA at the RIU PALACE KUKULKAN Adults only All Inclusive in Mexico…read moreCancun My husband decided to make an appointment for me at the Renova Spa on Saturday, September 5th, 2026. We were celebrating our 8-year anniversary from our wedding and we stayed at the RIU PALACE KUKULKAN Adults only All Inclusive in Mexico Cancun. Let me start by saying--I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the experience! From the moment my husband and I arrived, the experience was wonderful. When we walked into the hotel, the young lady named Ms. Melanie at the front desk was extremely nice, welcoming, and helpful. We were escorted to the spa's changing area, which was beautiful and had all the amenities you would expect in a comfortable home bathroom. We were provided with lockers where we could safely store our belongings and change into our spa attire. After changing, we were taken into the Tea Room, where our relaxing experience really began. We were then given a mini tour of the spa. RENOVA Spa is located on the hotel's lobby entrance, and when you walk into the spa, you immediately notice how beautiful, spacious, peaceful, and inviting the atmosphere is. There are even tables where you can purchase products to take home, including spa lotions, exfoliators, candles, incense, and other relaxing goodies. Ms. Melanie, such a lovely young lady, gave us a tour of the different rooms, and I thought the attention to detail was amazing. Each room had its own purpose. There was a jacuzzi room, as well as a peaceful reading room where guests can sit, relax, and read something inspirational. My massage therapist was Ms. Victoria, who was my therapist. Ms. Victoria was wonderful. Before beginning, she asked me several important questions about the reason for my visit and what areas I wanted him to focus on. I really appreciated that because she wasn't simply giving me a standard massage, she was listening to what I needed. And let me tell you, she was AMAZING from head to toe! She focused on all my sore areas, especially my shoulders, lower back, and neck. He worked on my muscles, incorporated stretching, and paid attention to the areas where I was experiencing tension. There was honestly nothing about the massage that I did not enjoy. Thank you, Ms. Victoria & Ms. Melanie, for all your attention! I LOVED IT ALL! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND...MARIA E

This salon/spa is located inside the Riu Palace Peninsula Hotel. I booked two 60 minute pedicures…read moreonline because they offered 10% off with online booking - you could make the appointment for two+ days later or go to the spa right away and see when their soonest opening was. We went down about 10:30 a.m. and they could get us in at 4:30 that afternoon and we were told to arrive 10 minutes early. When we arrived at 4:20 we filled out quick digital paperwork and were told to take a seat. At 4:45 as we were just about to ask what was going on, we were greeted by our technician. So I was excited for this "spa experience pedicure" which was a step up from their classic pedicure. We went into a small room where their were two pedicure sinks and one sofa. We are used to massage chairs in our hometown of RENO NV - cut to the chase the couch was not comfortable and I kept having to adjust my body so my booty didn't fall asleep. They gave us a neck warmer pillow thing but that didn't really do anything for me. The technicians were nice but took a long time on grooming the nails - I regularly get pedicures so didn't think it should take that long. I joked to my honey that this is why it's 60 minutes long - well long story short - it actually was only 45 minutes - which I can only assume because they started over 15 minutes late. Maybe if they had actually given a massage to your feet/legs which I thought was pretty standard for a pedicure - it may have lasted longer. They rubbed our feet/legs for less than 35 seconds. No joke. I would have preferred a massage over the exfoliation. My toe color turned out pretty, but I expected to get what I paid for :(

The massag therapist used the exact amount of pressure I requested and checked to make sure I was comfortable throughout the session. My mom's pedicure was also very thorough.
