Made a stop at Ink Paper Crafts on our way to Solvang when my sister found it online - the outside/location is very unassuming, but inside they have a great variety and selection of stationery items. It's not a huge store, but their inventory is great (my sister who's a stationery nerd recognized many known Japanese brands and said she could have shopped here for an hour or two if she had the chance). We got a mix of stickers, cards, and stamps. The store itself is also very aesthetically pleasing and well-organized. This little shop is jam-packed with so many fun and creative items for all ages. I can't believe it's been there for three years and I just found it this past week. Congratulations to owner Rebecca and her staff, Julia, Gina and McKenzie, on this outstanding store that helps inspire creativity in everyone. Whether you're and artist, a writer, or just someone who loves to discover their artistic side . . . this is the place for you. I recently discovered the world of Caligraphy and found this store while searching on Yelp. Rebecca was very helpful in explaining all the different choices of Caligraphy pens, inks, as well as other pens, pencils, stationery, and drawing pads. I was pretty overwhelmed with their selection of all those items and I am looking forward to exploring all the many options they have to offer. As I walked in to the store I was instantly drawn in to their specialty room of wrapping papers, gift bags, and ribbons. So much to choose from. And it's next to their area of Helium Balloons and tassels. The colors and styles of those balloons is incredible. Truly a party waiting to happen. Also enjoyed their selection of postcards and greeting cards, and candles, so many fun choices for any special occasion. And along with their selection of stickers for all occasions, it's a fun way to make any special occasion even more fun and festive. Definitely a one-stop shop for any and all types of celebrations. Allow me to set the scene: It's POURING rain, and I come in absolutely panicked. My wedding invitations, which I've spent MONTHS designing need to go out by end of day (because of course I waited until the last possible moment). I am finally getting them into their envelopes and what's this?? The adhesive isn't strong enough, the flaps are lifting! Cue the aforementioned panic. I call Ink Paper Crafts to see if they have washi tape. They do. Tons of it. It's not an ideal solution for my fancy invites but it will have to do. I jump in the car and get there an hour before closing, damp from the rain and -- let's be honest -- probably a little bit of sweat, wedding invite in hand. I'm trying to find a washi tape that will semi-match the vibe and then, like an angel sent from heaven, the owner walks up to me and says "I've got something better for you." She proceeds to introduce me to this magical tape dispenser that absolutely saved the day. And she wouldn't even let me pay her for it!! "My wedding gift to you," she said. I was stunned. It's been so long since I've had this experience shopping. You know how it is -- we're all buying everything on amazon and there's no warmth, no connection. The cutest, most perfectly curated, lovely stationary store I have ever been to (and I've been to many, especially in LA!). I love that there were so many Japanese stationery and art supplies! Not only do you get to see the products, you can test out a whole array of them from pens (regular and fountain), pencils, paper, watercolors, colored pencils, stamps, oil pastels, and so much more!! Fantastic stationary store with an incredible selection! I love that they have testers for almost everything. Lots of cool Japanese stationary that I haven't seen anywhere else. I ended up finding some interesting Pentel Metallic Brushes that I can't wait to play around with and some pretty washi tapes.
