went in for a standard labret as a birthday present. my piercer was aaron. he asked me if i wanted…read morea vertical labret the moment i walked into the shop for my appointment. i told him NO, i wanted a STANDARD LABRET. on the consent paperwork, i signed LABRET, not vertical labret. aaron pierced me with a vertical labret anyways. he first offered a refund, then, upon realizing that i do not live in tillsonburg and had to get someone else to fix his mistake, he got upset with me, said i didn't read my consent forms, the refund was off, and i was suddenly harassing him. i said fine, i would no longer contact him, and would seek legal action against him for going deliberately against my signed consent form's requested piercing style. he laughed at me. i would never, ever recommend aaron from craving ink to even my worst enemy. he is unprofessional, rude, and utterly uncaring. save yourself the time, headache, and money, as if you get a piercing done by him, you'll need it refitted. he doesn't even know what the proper gage for a labret is, he got that wrong too... negative review in my heart, honestly.

The idea, as it was explained to me is simple, "Do what you love." The shop is in downtown Kitchener just above a 20/20 Optical which sounds like an odd place but the space is perfect. There isn't a lot of walk in traffic but you can always show up without an appointment and if they're busy they'll book you in right there. Calling ahead is always your best option as these gentlemen can have a waiting list. There are four artists (plus an apprentice) that call this place home and each one has his own style. Just taking a look around the shop is a good indication of how well rounded they are as the walls are covered in sketches and drawings all done by the shop artists. Sometimes they have prints for sale of these pieces. The shop itself is open, well lit and clean as a whistle. Everything is sterilized and packaged properly. Counters and work stations are constantly wiped down, cleaned and cleaned again. There is a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere that seems inviting and positive. I think it's just a natural side effect of enjoying your work. There isn't much in the way of parking so you might have to hunt for a spot at a parking lot close by (a block or so away at best, two or three at worst).

My fingers invariably keep landing on their site as a place I know will take great care of me and give me a first class tattoo that will give me pride to look at for the rest of my life. When we arrived we checked in smoothly and Brittany had the drawings prepared for us to look at. The artwork was perfect, but we needed to ask for several size adjustments, which were accommodated. Since we were in the shop for a while, as each in our group got tattooed, we were able to experience the ambiance. The whole place was neat as a pin and covered with a range of beautiful artwork, mostly related to tattoos, but also just good art. The staff were all friendly and professional and welcoming. At the end we each had two new tattoos that were all beautifully done, and we'd had a really nice couple of hours in a great environment. So happy!
