We hired Adam / Houseman Studios for our wedding photography and videography for a wedding over 3…read moredays (5 events total) in July 2025. While Adam was engaging during the wedding itself, the biggest issues were poor communication, significant delays met with a passive aggressive attitude, and the quality of the final work. Half of our deliverables arrived over a month later than what the final contract stated, and during that time it was very difficult to get clear or consistent updates. Messages often went unanswered for 15-20 days, and when we did hear back, timelines were vague and kept changing. When pressed for updates on overdue deliverables, the response we received had a noticeably sarcastic and defensive tone, which felt inappropriate and unprofessional given he was the one breaching the contract. He framed our concerns as an inconvenience, saying "a few months of waiting for a lifelong keepsake shouldn't be too uncomfortable for you", alongside comments such as "no other couple has been that inspirational". Unfortunately, when the final materials did arrive, the quality did not meet our expectations. Many photos had washed-out backgrounds, distracting elements like umbrellas taking over a third of the image and overall the images felt rushed and thrown together. For reference, there is not a single, clean photo of the bride and groom alone during the wedding ceremony - his excuse; it rained (how much rain you can imagine, given the ceremony went on with no issues from the venue). On top of that, Adam wasn't willing to edit any of them. We had to sink in more money to get them edited from an outside vendor. Disheartening part is, he never bothered to reach out to us before the wedding to understand what to expect at our wedding; he was so confident he could do an amazing job and we regrettably so, fell for his hollow confidence. Weddings are once-in-a-lifetime events, and couples are trusting vendors with moments they can't capture. Based on our experience, steer clear.

On the day of my wedding, Adam called and pulled the old switcheroo on me. The photographer who showed up was professional and took fine photos, but they weren't the same style as on their website, the change of plans was quite unfortunate. This might have freaked out a touchier bride, but I played it cool since I figured Adam would have great follow through that would make up for it. But this was not the case. The great communication and responsiveness I had gotten from Adam when booking him for my wedding completely disappeared after the event. It took a very long time for me to see any photos--digital or otherwise. Many months and missed deadlines. He said he would send a disc with images to me and my mom, but never did. Ultimately my mom had to go and pick them up at his office. He left them out front and didn't bother to speak with her. After I complained about my dissatisfaction with the experience, Adam refused a refund but offered to give me a complimentary wedding album. That was over 6 months ago. I haven't seen the album, and honestly don't expect I ever will. He has not responded to my email inquiring about it. I guess once Adam and Imthiaz have your deposit, that's all they need!

If you're looking for a photographer to shoot your wedding, I highly recommend Tim. We spent several weeks looking through wedding photographers and very carefully considering who we wanted to work with, and I'm so glad we went with Tim - he more than exceeded what we were looking for. Tim shot our wedding in Lakewood Colorado - we chose to work with Tim because we loved how honestly he captures the different personalities of his subjects. Finding a wedding photographer was challenging because a lot of the dedicated "wedding photographers" have a singular style, and frankly they seem overpriced, with a lot of tack-on / add-ons to build an up-sell model. And then there are more "budget-friendly" photographers where you just don't feel confident that you're going to get great shots. A lot of the "firms" or teams of people will also have surprisingly long turn around times, but we got a great collection of "sneak peeks" immediately after our wedding and a full set of ~600 photos in under a week - I've been involved in a few larger photoshoots and this is a VERY FAST turnaround. With Tim we had the best of both worlds - he charges a fair price and the shots are AMAZING. It was a surreal experience to go back and see just how happy we look, and this is in large thanks to Tim's great photography.
