We first came to this Ingles in May 2000 when we moved up here. It was before the renovation. Today is my last day coming. I've always enjoyed their fried chicken and picked up an eight piece box today. After I left, I decided to have a piece. The first piece I picked up (see picture) didn't have any meat left on it; it had been fried off. I came back to let them know. I took the single piece of burnt crust and bones in and spoke to the young girl behind the manager's desk. She was dismissive, offered no apology, and no remedy. I felt sorry because if this had been my first experience with their chicken, it would be my last. Her flippant attitude is the reason for the one star. read more

As we approached the checkout today we were greeted by an employee in a wheelchair who was incredibly rude! We spent over $500 in grocery's!! Besides taking stretching breaks he had to bag all product on his own which accounted for a 20 minute checkout experience!! Good job Ingles and thank god for the new Publix!! The real kicker was when he asked if the woman I was with was my mother. Which I responded "yes". Then he said "I don't like your tone with her". I didn't realize I was in a therapy session. Obviously I will be going to Krogers or Publix after this. read more

Waited at the pharmacy for over 20 minutes, when FINALLY greeted I mentioned I was waiting for that long and the pharmacy cashier said "no you wasn't" - YES, I was. They can also for some reason never get my insurance right even though it's literally never changed. Left this pharmacy a while ago. Kinda pointless when the wait times & technical issues prevent you from even getting your medication. read more

This store is quite beautiful with the sun shining through the windows on a sunny Saturday morning. I visited the Starbucks in this store on my way to an event in Jasper. Mason (I hope I have the name right!) was working the Starbucks alone and, might I say, knocking it out of the park! While I was waiting in line briefly and admiring the plant displays, one of the employees smiled and said hello to me. This was a super pleasant experience, and I will definitely visit this store again when I am up that way. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. The salad bar always has wilted and sad looking food. The sandwich section is slow as molasses and is constantly out of items because the staff doesn't keep up with ingredients. The Asian food and country to go food is oversalted and dry. O and let's not forget the mouse and rat problem management refuses to keep up on. No store serving food and coffee should be allowed to be open when there is feces around the Starbucks machinery and in the milk coolers. Management was informed and let the situation go for weeks before calling a service to come out. Nevermind the fact they are overpriced on just about every item they sell. Terrible!!! read more

Great store! Clean. Good selection. My wife likes Kroger and I prefer ingles. Great all around. Super clean.

In a hurry and thought I'd grab a couple of sandwiches - corned beef due to todays date. The bread was dry - like toasted but not - I got 2 tiny slices of meat with a blob of mayo and a blob of mustard on top of the meat! Not spread on the bread - just 2 blobs in the middle of the "sandwich". I would not feed this to the opossum that occasionally passes through my yard. It was disgusting. I've been going here for almost 20 years and I'm officially done. Half the time, the food has expired, the floors are sticky and the cheese is moldy. I've gotten heavy cream with actual lumps. Apparently, they make no effort to get the birds out of the store either - they certainly wouldn't do it in a humane way. You know what birds do right? Look at your windshield. There was a dead rotting bird on the wires above the front door for literally months that I asked the store personnel many times to get down. I finally asked a guy from a different company who was pressure washing to get it down and he did so. I am done. IGA is clean and the cashiers are friendly and it's actually not any more expensive. Most of all, the food is fresh. If I'm paying high prices, I want good fresh food. read more

I visit this store daily. It is clean and well stocked. It has a very large selection of organic food. They have an outstanding food bar and wonderful lemon poppyseed muffins. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is open until midnight and I get my gas there as well. Having the bank and atm inside is a real bonus. read more

Nice store and they are renovating it again to keep it fresh. When I need something quick meat wise this is my one place to shop. I normally hit a meat market in Cumming but this place really sells good selections in a pinch. read more

I love the pharmacy here. They care and give personal treatment. They will try to help you with pricing. I may drive them nuts but they never act like it, I love a place when I can call they know me and my medications. I couldn't recommend a better place. Quite possibly the nicest grocery store I've shopped in. Clean, spacious, terrific selections and very friendly staff. I'm only visiting this area but I sure wish my Publix back home was as awesome as this Ingles. read more

My favorite part of this store is the salad bar! They are always beautiful, full and fresh. I've been to many grocery stores across North Georgia looking for something similar and, hands down, this one wins out over every grocery store salad bar I've ever seen. There are so many fresh, healthy veggies and salad topping options to choose from. I also love the weekend fresh made guacamole! It can't be beat! read more

Very disappointing experience yesterday. I always stop on my way to the mountains to buy my groceries. The store is clean, bright and well-stocked. On a Friday at 5:00 pm, the organic produce was wilted so I didn't buy any. In the bread aisle, there was a manager sitting on the floor stocking bread discussing cars with another employee. I struggled to get the loaf of bread I needed while the whole time I was never even greeted...their conversation was too important to get out of the way of a customer or even acknowledge my presence. With only 4 registers going on a Friday at 5:00 pm, my cashier was very courteous and quick but the bagger T_ _ _ s was rude and nasty to me. He started to bag fresh chicken and produce together and I told him to please put them separately. At the end I thanked and told him I appreciated his help. He didn't say a word. He gave me a nasty look and walked away. Generally everybody at the store is courteous but this was not a pleasant experience. I will shop elsewhere at the Ingles in Ellijay or the Krogers in Jasper but I will never shop at this location again. I suspect that the store management has changed. read more
