We trusted him and his two man crew with open access to our home even when we were away. His right hand man, Steve, is a very bright and talented carpenter who works extremely hard. He and his helper Justin, showed up on time, hardly took breaks or longer than half hour for lunch, and cleaned up the worksite each day before leaving. Mario and his crew are not afraid of tackling any project and they worked on a cost plus basis because we didn't have a master plan. We needed help doing work we had neglected while putting kids through college and Caliber Construction was a godsend. They made suggestions and listened to ours. The result of their hard work in our opinion and all our friends, is beautiful. We couldn't be happier. I was introduced to Mario by my good friend across the street and I referred him to the neighbors on both sides of me. They even worked on our 90 year old aunt's house up the street and she loved him. It takes awhile for Mario to get around to your project but once he starts, he doesn't leave until finished. He doesn't have five projects going at once. Also, I didn't want someone who could start tomorrow because if someone isn't very busy they probably aren't very good. One guy would be there for three days and then someone new would show up and have no clue what the last guy did. One of the employees painted the bathroom walls without even wiping the walls down after sanding. At one point, I had to tell the project manager that I did not want anyone in my home until I met with him. The lack of craftsmanship, and integrity was upsetting to say the least. Who puts kitchen cabinets in before painting??? Once the job was complete, it took Vaz Construction another month to come back and finish the things that were not completed.
