We interviewed Infinite Tax Solutions on July 18th, 2019 to see if this firm would be a good fit to act as a tax accountant for both our personal returns, as well our business. We met with Alicia, the owner, for over an hour. We were very impressed with her. She was clearly very intelligent, had an excellent understanding of tax law and regulation, and seemed to have a passion for her work that left us with an excellent impression. She assured us she would work on our account personally, as our business structures can be complex. We left feeling confident we had found the right person, and hired them immediately. Unfortunately we were very mistaken. As we hired Infinite Tax Solutions outside of tax season, we initially did not do a lot of work with them. Then in the fall we received an unexpected check from the IRS, and I emailed Alicia to help sort out what overall was a very simple and straight forward question. I waited a week, and when she did not reply I sent a second email to see if perhaps she had missed my first email. She again did not respond. It was at this point that I called the front office, and was told that Alicia does not answer emails, as she is too busy to accept emails directly from her clients. This was my first red flag, and to be frank I should have simply walked away then, but I was informed by Sarah in the front office that if I emailed the main office my emails would be answered by one of her staff. I had another quite simple question so I emailed the main office email, and again my email was ignored, so again I waited a week, and sent a second email, which again was ignored. I was now beginning to see a pattern form, and was getting quite concerned. Its important to note that we had not even started to work on my tax's, and this was just a quick email. I again called, and was told they would look into my question. As days turned into weeks I became quite sure that, unless I called to inquire, my call was never going to be returned. As communication with the firm had become so unacceptably bad, I decided to call Alicia directly to discuss my concerns. I had reached the point of realizing I may have to hire another firm, but wanted to discuss my concerns with her and see if we could find a resolution, or at minimum an explanation, before I moved on. I called and was told by Sarah that Alicia was too busy to talk to me. I want to clarify a point here. I was not told I had to leave a message, or that she was too busy this week, or that she would get back to me when she could. I was told she was too busy to talk to me at any time, period. I am only grateful that we realized this issue before we dug into tax season, as it would have been much more difficult and stressful to change firms at that point. I would urge anyone considering working with infinite tax solutions to look at this, and the many other reviews that site communication as a core issue before deciding they want to move forward. In response to the other reviews that site this issue I see reply's from Alicia that seem to attempt to justify their actions, but it may be time for them to accept that the company has a communication issue, and strive to rectify it, as the firm has so much potential if this core issue is addressed. read more

When your best financial move is to get a stimulus loan with little in the way of required documents except what you need from your accountant and you have to hound them to get the paperwork or advisory.. and then the money dries up.. well any good impression left by the money Alicia helps you save gets lost in the shuffle. Lost out on more than $10,000 in part due to lack of responsiveness. I had to prepare my own taxes because even though I've done business with Infinite Tax for two years, there was no response when I needed it to get my paperwork filed. What good is an accountant if you can't get a response after weeks of requests when your business needs it to secure documents for a loan? read more

I've been working with Infinite Tax for years now, with my books and other clients' books. I've brought some really challenging IRS client issues to Infinite Tax and they handle the obstacles with aplomb and ease. It's a no-nonsense and no-BS firm of high integrity that delivers what they promise. The biggest challenge I've seen has been getting into their client roster since they're always booked with business -understandable for the quality and integrity they deliver. I've worked with a lot of accounting firms in Colorado; Infinite Tax has become my primary go-to for resolving multi-year complex tax filings for clients. I have worked with Alicia and been a client of Infinite Tax Solutions for eight years. I am no longer a client because they mailed a letter notifying me of their decision to abruptly end representation. They also promptly removed my portal account, and therefore access to my documents, which I find unprofessional and unnecessary. The letter stated, "Now that you no longer have a business income tax return to file, we believe TurboTax will be the best option for you to file your tax returns online." Although they suggested TurboTax, they also included a "Recommended Tax Firms" document. It seems strange that I would need to find a new firm if TurboTax is the best option for me moving forward. The ITS website specifically states, "We prepare tax returns for individuals..." I am perplexed and disappointed they would choose to discard me as a client based on the fact that I no longer have a business. I believe it would be more professional to simply own their decision to no longer represent me rather than make a claim/excuse such as this. This year, I was invoiced for a Schedule A and Schedule B, but they were not filed on my behalf. Additionally, I was billed twice that of my friends (with comparable returns) who also utilized ITS's services. I didn't even question it. I simply paid the invoice, as Alicia has always been fair with me in the past. Inconsistencies in fee schedules and billing practices make me question the value placed on their clients by ITS. After submitting my docs on March 10th, I was told my return would likely be completed in 2-3 weeks due to corporate taxes, which had priority, being due March 15. That is completely understandable, so I patiently waited over four weeks to call and check on status. I feel as though I was provided invalid and/or dishonest reasoning as to why my return was not yet complete. On April 12th, I politely questioned the timeliness of the process and expressed my desire to file my return by the normal IRS deadline of April 15th. My return was done the next morning. I truly cannot think of any reason I should have been "fired" as a client, but believe poorly run operations within ITS ultimately resulted in this outcome. As I look through other reviews, I notice a trend that few clients get the opportunity to work directly with Alicia any longer. Unfortunately, this lack of one-on-one attention has led to decreased service and an overall feeling of frustration. As a client who did nothing but sing the praises of Alicia and her ability to do excellent tax prep work, as well as continually referred friends and family to ITS, I am certainly not impressed with my most recent, and final, business experience. I can no longer, in good faith, recommend ITS. I left 2-stars because I would give a 5-star review based on Alicia's level of return preparation capabilities and zero stars for ITS's front-end business operations and treatment of clients. read more

I have done my taxes with Infinite Tax Solutions the last 2 years. Alicia and her team do great work.

Despite the great reviews, they did not serve me well. They screwed up my spouse's SSN leading to all sorts of issues that I am still having to sort out, and they got a refund amount wrong by over 1/3! Less of course (not more) than what they said I would receive. They charged almost $500 for two years' of returns that have created nothing but headaches for me. I would have happily paid them that amount had they done things right. My taxes aren't even that complicated so getting these things so wrong suggests they don't know what they're doing or just don't care. They said they corrected the SSN error, but as it's been over two months and I am still waiting on my refunds, and still talking to IRS everyday about their stupid error, I would guess they didn't do that right either. Avoid these people, unless you want to be talking to the IRS way more than you should. No refund, no apology either. Terrible service. Update: Alicia, yes it was your firm and you know it. I do not use my real name on Yelp and you know that too. You just made a bad situation worse now by lying in a public venue about an authentic review. Just stop. If you reveal any additional personal details about me in this forum, I will take all appropriate action, so just stop now. Alicia was hired and paid for a past year amendment for an error that was a simple 1040x submission. Alicia and I corresponded periodically after the submission, waiting for a response till the beginning of 2019. At that point she stopped responding altogether. My 2019 tax return was withheld by the IRS citing the incident that Alicia was hired to resolve. I sent all the IRS letters to Infinite and still zero response. In the order of 20 emails, texts, and calls were all ignored. I resorted to calling her front office receptionist, four separate times, who said she was talk to Alicia and provide feedback, which I never received one call in return. By far the most ridiculous service I have experienced out of a company! Looking at the other 2019 reviews, the lack of response and customer service appears to be a pattern with Alicia. Do not consider using these charlatans! I had Alicia prepare returns for several years, as I had rental property income and wasn't clear on how best to submit my taxes. (Previously I had done my taxes myself.) I started receiving dire notices from the IRS about back taxes, but Alicia kept assuring me that refunds from previous years would be applied to more current years and all was fine. It wasn't until I received registered letters from the IRS indicating that the IRS was going to put a lien on my property that it became clear that I could not trust them. As soon as there seemed to be serious issues with the IRS, Alicia and all of Infinite Tax Solutions have stopped returning my phone calls and emails. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau to report their irresponsible and shocking lack of response to my concerns about dire IRS notices. You cannot trust them to get back to you when you ask for an appointment, even after you have been a client, spending more than $1000 for their services. When I met her in person, she was extremely friendly, professional, and completely answered all of my questions. Beware! We used her for several years until something happened to her. At first, she's sweet, great eye contact, smiles, friendly, nods, listens....but abandons. Whatever happened to her in 2020 caused her professionalism to endanger both my family and businesses by carelessly not paying attention to what the IRS would classify as comingling corporate and personal funds. She's not a CPA. She's not even an accountant. I didn't mind her $250/hour fees until I realized she cost me so very much more! She cost us over $10,000 to undo the severe damage she caused. Our new CPA (a real one) sent her several letters specifically identifying where she erred and asked her why. Instead, her responses were defensive, uninformative, deflective, and scarily unprofessional. She used small excuses to excuse her huge mistakes. Use at your own risk. Caveat emptor...... Alicia helped me through an audit and although was very difficult to reach at times, got me through it and negotiated well. There were some miscellaneous additional discounts I found out about that would total about $2000 in refund for me so she advised not to pay the final audit bill of $1700 until we sorted it out. Each time I reached out to them I was assured they had it under control. Each month I got a bill with more and more penalties and interest.....and each month they said they were on top of it. Then I got a notice that it was going to collections. I was very frustrated and apologized to her assistant for my frustration but said I was quite upset. Jennifer assured she would handle it. (all this time I was never able to talk with Alicia....she is impossible to reach) Then an hour later I got an email blasting me for talking to her assistant like that and saying it is too late to get those discounts now (THEY were the ones that dragged their feet!!) and now will not return my calls. Of course now it's tax season so to find someone else to help me through the final bits of it will be impossible. read more

If I could rate with negative stars, I would. Worst business interaction I have ever had. Do not do business with her. I went in seeking her services and left in the middle of the meeting because of her attitude and the way she treated me, who was a potential client. Someone who was even referred by an existing client of hers. It was clear from the beginning she was looking to move on to the next thing she had to do. I was not valued as a potential client at all. There was no personal element to her business, for example, I wasn't offered coffee or water to get settled in for the first time meeting her. She hurried through everything and made me feel not valued at all. When dealing with taxes and money, people are going to be a bit reserved because it's a really personal matter. If you are not made to feel comfortable with an accountant, you are not going to want to be so forthcoming with such personal information. She definitely does not make you feel comfortable. She makes you feel the opposite. In fact, she is rude and condescending. I was told when I asked her a question, "Why are you asking that? Where does that question even come from?" I was told this as a new client who had never even met the woman before. What kind of person does that? There was no getting to know me at all, and furthermore, she was extremely rude and belittled everything I had to say. It was as if my questions were stupid and I was stupid. This is how she made me feel for the first time meeting her and I was referred by an existing client of hers. If this is how I was treated when she has existing business with someone I know, imagine how she's going to treat you if you don't know her. Definitely do not work with her or do your taxes with her. read more
