More concerned about the money than the clients gift and dream. For this reason won't be returning.

I've had voice lessons before Brent, but the teachers were either classical or Broadway or one particular style. One said that my voice was too good for him to help me - he only taught beginners. Brent can teach anyone in any style with any level of vocal expertise. His teaching method, then and now, focuses on getting your best vocal sounds. This includes learning how to sing words that have two vowels sounds in the same syllable, understanding how to breath through phrases, producing resonance in your head and not singing from your throat, using head voice, full voice and a mixture of the two and he works on volume control and use of microphones. I recommend Brent for anyone at any level trying to sing better.

He gives amazing tips and properly explains everything in a really easy-to-understand way. He is also super easy to get along with and brings a smile to everyone's faces. I'm not gonna lie, it was a little painful at first, lol! But after just a short time Chris taught him some basic chords and songs and it actually started to sound pretty good when he practiced at home (thank you chris!!!). So then I started to think I might take some piano lessons. I played when I was young but it had been a long time. Chris was awesome and really helped me get back into the swing of it. Not to mention he is just a really cool guy and fun to spend time with. I like the studio so much I recently started taking singing lessons just for fun and I love it! I would definitely recommend Sarrin Music to anyone who wants to learn an instrument.

We both started never playing an instrument before and now I can play the guitar and she can play the bass, drums, and the piano. We have been going here for many years. My sister started with drum lessons when she was only 15. She moved on to bass lessons at 25, and then onto piano a couple years later. Now at 30 she is back at the Bass and loves her weekly lessons. Lessons are reasonably priced and they work around your schedule. I would recommend Sarrin for people of all ages.

Sometimes music teachers seem to follow a prescribed order of exercises or warmups out of a book, but Ruth gives careful thought to the exercises that will benefit each singer, whether they need to work on relaxing the jaw, connecting head and chest voice, or creating long, fluid lines (if you're a new to voice, she'll break it down in a way that's not too technical or intimidating). She gives input on song selection, but also lets students work on the songs that interest them. When I ran into issues, she wouldn't hold back but gives critiques in a constructive way. When my voice was working well, she gave very specific (rather than generic or vague) feedback so I could duplicate it and know exactly *why* it's working. We talked about the mechanics of how you sing, as well as the nuances of phrasing, style, and expression. The online system she uses for scheduling lessons and keeping track of payment ensures that you don't waste lesson time sorting out those details. Her enthusiasm and professionalism are top-notch and she genuinely cares about her students' musical and personal development. Overall, I would highly recommend her to beginning or advanced singers!

Some students have joined the studio to prepare for auditions or roles; others want to tackle stage fright issues; some take weekly lessons just for the pure joy of singing. Along the way, Ruth helps all her students develop confidence and stage presence, encouraging them to be expressive singers and performers. Students learn in a relaxed and nurturing environment as Ruth guides them toward a healthy vocal technique and strong musical skills. Prospective students need not have prior training - Ruth teaches students of all levels and abilities. Ruth's individualized approach ensures that each student develops a strong foundation in vocal technique and, with regular practice, progresses rapidly from week to week.
