I am floored by the amount of books, in every single category imaginable. Yes, they have a large children's section. There is a giant plush figure standing near a black pole in front of the children's books. I checked out each floor. I'm a sucker for novelty items, which they have plenty of. They sell multiple models of Polaroid cameras and film. Tons of calendars in different formats. Their vinyl room is on the ground floor, in the back. The store is sleek, clean, and organized. If you're in Berlin, I recommend visiting this store.
Great bookstore! Plus, a lot of everything else!…read more Dussmann's is an incredible bookstore. But, it is so much more than that. Beyond an insane collection of books, they also have tons of very unique novelty items that make great gifts or, something for yourself-- something that you never knew you needed. This shop is a multilevel business. They have multiple floors with books and other items on every floor. Plus, it is just stuffed full with an insane amount of books covering all varieties to quench your reading experience. As mentioned, they are much more than just an incredible bookstore. They also have a great selection of vinyl. So, for all of you vinyl enthusiasts, this is a great place to go and find that unique piece of music that you've wanted either very recently or all the way back to when you were young. It's really hard to explain just how much this store offers. I mean, if you're looking for a specific book, it's more than likely they will have. And, if they don't, they can most likely get it for you. Dussmann's great places to sit around and take a look at that book you may be interested in purchasing. Or, you can go there and have interesting discussions with your friends or family about literature and/or anything else. This is truly a great shop! Not only do you never know what you will find, but, if you're looking for something very specific, more than likely you'll be able to find it here.

But note all the cool kids that majored in Art or that spend all their paycheck in Prada bag just to stay current with fashion. They do have Loewe, A Kind of Guise(my Favorite), etc. just do a quick google. They have all the current fashion merch. Another thing I love about this store is the Sneaker low key is fire. I was able to find Dunk lows and New Balance 550s here. If you are looking for an outfit for Berghain, they will have plenty of blacks but be sure to come with deep pockets.

But given the extra enthusiastic reaction I got whilst wearing it out for the first time, I suspect it was worth it. This shop's certainly worth a gander should you find yourself in Kreuzberg.

They lured me in with a selection of scarves tied outside. Their bright colors beckoning me with the warm summer breeze. "Ah ok...a quick stop in." To my delight, Soeur is stuffed with nice garments. Racks and racks, shelves and shelves. Fairly well organized, not a rip/tear/hole/burn to be found on anything. In fact the whole place smells of fresh fabric...a rarity for a second-hand shop, even the nice ones. And while I'm sure I could have found a few things I would have HAD to have...the prices were a bit steep. You see, I have the patience and tenacity to skim thrift stores myself, so paying someone 400 percent to do this for me and display it cutely in a store? Hmmm, no thank you. So while it's a nice stop if you're popping in and out of shops in Prenzlauer Berg, there are not deals to be had. Consider it more of a boutique of forgotten and abandoned stylish items and then the relative pricing structure may not be such a shock. My one regret: the peach and purple leather Maxsport satchel from Italy. Marked down to 89 euro (from 159). May have to go back for that...and one of those scarves ;) *dressing rooms in the back section.
