As I knew I would be dining on my own, I had spotted that they offered a thali, which is a platter of different items and an ideal way to sample lots of dishes if you're on your own. I munched on some popadoms as I perused the menu. Sadly, they didn't do lassi, so I had a pineapple juice instead. The meat thali came with some tandoori chicken, sheek kebab, lamb rogan josh, sag (spinach), yoghurt, pilau rice and naan. I found everything tasty and just the right amount of food for a Yelp tummy. My only note to the chef was to include more sauce on the dish as overall, the combination of dishes was a bit dry The service was very friendly and this is worth a return visit if I'm ever in the area again

If you like medium ones, Moysore and Dumpuk are amazing! The naan is good, the rice is good, the ambience lovely, with beautiful frescos on the walls and soft spotlights above each table creating a unique atmosphere. And the service is consistently good! I've been here on a date, with colleagues, with friends, and we all keep coming back. It's by far one of the best indian restaurants I have been to, and I would recommend you stop by as well. They do take-away and delivery (take-away saves you 10%) and are a great place to get food from on a lazy weekday evening if you'd rather stay in with a movie.

The Nepalese Khutta, Shahi and Hariyali Dish were new to me and I am so pleased to have tried them. And I will be having them again, and introducing my friends to them! Acid test for me in any Indian restaurant is an onion bhaji and Shahi's were like onion patties, a slight crispness on the outside, oniony and not like a flour bomb. Shahi are well worth trying if you live locally. If you are visiting the area they are worth seeking out.

A popular local Nepalese restaurant serving a range of Indian-style curries as well as more…read moredistinctive Nepalese dishes. The interior has some traditional Nepalese wood carving as decoration but is otherwise indistinguishable from your average Indian restaurant. The menu mixes familiar Indian favourites (so bahji and pakora and the like as starters, and a range of curries as mains) with more distinctively spiced Nepalese dishes. My paneer tandoori starter had Nepalese spices (so less chilli heat and more fresh coriander) and my friend's Mo-mo dumplings looked more Chinese in style, except for the spicy dipping sauce. My vegetable Bhuna was fine but my friend's "Everest Chicken" was apparently outstanding. (Bear in mind the vegetarian choices tend to be Indian.) Service throughout was excellent. They cater for a fair number of parties from the nearby barracks (there were two on our visit), but their kitchen is clearly used to that, so it didn't affect our service at all. They also had a busy take-away service in operation. So, overall, a good choice to try a new cuisine, but with familiar Indian-style options, in South Farnborough.
