I think the veggie sampler was a little bit small and the chili naan not quite spicy enough for my preferences, but overall I'd take stuff like chickpea bhaat and aloo gobi anywhere I can get it. Meanwhile, the food was honestly really good - and service was extremely polite as well. I don't quite understand how this place does not get more business when it is effectively serving excellent food. I guess maybe yelp can help them get on the radar.

The chicken didn't have the typical flavour that butter chicken have when the meat is cooked with the sauce. Also the butter chicken sauce was a bit too sweet for me and too creamy. The sag paneer on the other hand was a hit for me. This dish felt like a genuine traditional Indian dish. The spice was just right and not oily. Another plus for me was the service. The waiter / waitresses kept an eye on us to make sure we were happy. Overall, the ambiance, views, and service was great. One mark off on the butter chicken but the other food dishes were excellent. The Food: We got Tandoori Mixed Special (€11.95), a side of the Saag Paneer (€4.95), and G.O.C. naan (€3.25) to split between the two of us. The Tandoori special was very generous portions, and included chicken, lamb, and other grilled meat. I don't usually like getting tandoori at Indian restaurants (it's like the least sexy dish), but we were craving meat, so we went for it. It was good, but not great - a little dry, but that is often the case. There a number of really flavorful sauces that you can add (some with a lot of heat), and that helped a lot. The Saag Paneer, which is pureed spinach and mustard leaves with cream and chunks of Indian cheese, was flavorful. The menu said medium spicy, but I did not notice any real heat. The G.O.C. naan (garlic, onion, and coriander) was fresh and doughy, also with good flavor - not quite as much as I expected, but still pretty good. Space and Pace: Large dining space in the restaurant that was quite empty when we arrived. The restaurant has an almost overly formal feel to it with mood lighting and wine glasses set out, red tablecloth, etc. I found that slightly odd, given that they also do take out, but it is a really nice interior and probably makes for a romantic date. Service: Really friendly servers and people running the restaurant, with good recommendations. Our server warned us about the super spicy sauce you can add to your food, and was a bit surprised that we just about finished off the entire container. "Order," they said, "and go have a pint across the street. We'll bring your food over." And God bless, they did. While we waited for our food just steps away at the local pub, drinking our first of many pints of Guinness that week, we spoke to locals and learned about the town. And when the food came -- I'm telling you, it was the best damn Indian food I've ever had. We ate here three more times before leaving two days later for our next stop -- and left happy as larks each time.
