The security screening process could be improved by adding additional queue lanes. The building interior seems overall clean, but the restrooms were filthy even though the center had only opened a half hour before I tried to drop a dookie. The vending machine was nearly empty, and there were some shady characters lurking in the hallways. Some lady next to me right now is trying to pour soup from a thermos into a small cup and it's very annoying.

First lets be clear, I give it 3 stars because, It Is A Jail! I can not give a jail 5 stars…read more Nobody like jail. But having said that, it is getting the highest rating I would give any jail. I have gone here to visit a person several times. The staff are always friendly and quick. They have even started my visit early because I was there early. From the time I walk in the door to the time I start my visit has been often less then ten minutes! That is quick. But I will point out that many times I have been the only person there to visit someone. And I think that is terrible for the people in there, but good for me. I should note that the visits are not in person, They are via video calling. They have many booths set up , you will be assigned a booth, you go there and wait to see your friend show up on the video, then you pick up the phone handset and begin your visit. The cameras could use some adjusting and maybe put in taller chairs, because to sit properly in the chair the inmate only sees the top half of my head. I have to sit up higher to get into frame better. But I could see my friend just perfect. So visiting it really just "real time, controlled, video calls. they last 45 mins. There is a count down clock running in the upper right corner. PROS So to sum it up. Quick sign, Quick start times, Friendly staff Clean facilities, Bathroom available Drinkable water CONS It IS a jail It is NOT face to face cameras need better pointing It IS a Jail! Search is always possible Deputies everywhere can only bring Keys, ID and Facemask IT'S JAIL It is what it is! Hope this is helpful

I had to be taken to JFK Hospital the other night and when the Indio Fire Department showed up,…read morethey could not have been more professional, kind and very prompt. It took only minutes for them to get here and the one gentleman Mark, that stayed with me in the ambulance was totally amazing. He had me so comfortable and at ease. He looked like my nephew so we hit it off. He was attentive. He let me know what my vitals were and he stayed with me until I was settled in at the hospital. All of the EMT's that evening that came to the house were so kind and helpful. Thank you, Mark and Indio Fire Department for your kindness.
