The Marquee on Gaston is excellent. Some of the highlights of my stay so far- a broken refrigerator 2 days after moving in and 3 maintenance requests to have someone come and fix it, aspiring rap artist neighbors who beat their significant others and play their music so loud your portraits move from their places on the wall- if you're lucky, they'll also stand outside your door and threaten you for calling the police on domestic situations, loads of laundry stolen with the thief keeping your undergarments and returning the other items, sex offenders living on the property, consistently broken laundry facilities (there's 2 inches of water in the laundry room as we speak with no heat in any of the dryers... contain your excitement, please), we are just coming off of an excellent 5 days without hot water (who needs that?!), A/C that goes out multiple times in a year, cockroaches because if you want to leave your trash outside your place for a week, it's totally cool. You can also take up gated parking spaces if you don't live here, and leave your car on bricks for over 6 months before anything gets done. Cleaning up alcohol containers? Psshhhh- not a thing, leave them anywhere! The best part is you can email the property manager, Heather, until you're blue in the face and she's really good at doing this little dance thing to completely ignore any issue and allow the property to give a slum a run for its money. Fantastic management company! I've lived in one of their Lower Greenville properties, the James, for nearly three years. The building is well maintained so I rarely have to request repairs. However when I have had to the response is very quick. Rent is a great rate and they don't gouge like many landlords in the area. read more

I really can't say anything bad about this management company! I have had nothing but good experiences and even better interaction with EVERYone in the office and maintenance crew. I had a property manager switch when Nicole moved up in the company and was bummed because she is EXCELLENT, but Marcus is just as great and the level of customer service has remained the same. Jeremy, in maintenance, has been to my apt. twice since living here for a little over a year and has always been incredibly efficient and respectful each trip. I have been here both times he has come and felt comfortable leaving during the duration of his time here. I know his job isn't easy but he does it with a smile! read more

I have no idea what happened to this "management company." I rented from Indio back in 2016-2018 with absolutely no issues, extremely kind staff and very cordial and timely updates. They even assisted me when I was jobless and could not pay my full rent on time back in 2017. NOW?! HAH. My apartment building was bought by Indio in 2020 and they dipped just over a year later - and to say we are ecstatic is an understatement. The new staff is rude, lazy, and treats their tenants with the utmost disrespect. Stay very clear of a gal named Luthevania (not concerned if that's how her name is spelt) - she will cuss you out for calling and asking simple help or assistance for your own home. Miss "I don't work weekends so I don't have to respond to you", uhm okay! Well we live here 24/7 and if we're paying you and your company to make sure we have what we need (basic necessities), we really don't need your sh*tty attitude. Our "property manager" Marcus....who are you dude? You'd be lucky to get an email back 4 days later, and that's if you don't send 5 emails in a row asking for basic updates. My husbands car was stolen in March 2021 in the property and what did Indio do? Nothing. I sent 5 emails and 3 service requests and while I am aware that property management is not legally responsible for stolen items and theft, the silence and bouncing back-and-forth of the requests with zero communication in the end is shameful. No concern or care for their tenants safety and security of their own property - they only cared about renovating and making this place look more expensive. They were quick to get us back up and running after the snowstorm wrecked us, I will give them that. However, ever since then they've changed our locks without notifying us (and left people who had to leave their homes for the day locked out with little-to-no instructions on how to get back in - and don't even think about calling no one will answer you), have turned the water on/off with sometimes communication, but usually we're left to figure it out on our own, vandalism and crime reported in the complex. I said it to them in an email and I will leave it here: the way Indio treated us at The Wesley is absolutely shameful and I am thrilled we are no longer affiliated with them. Please care about your richer neighborhood properties and leave us good folk down here alone forever. read more

I had a really great experience with Indio with Erin in particular. She is personable and goes way beyond in customer service. I had to move quickly and Erin helped make that happen with as much ease as possible. She has great follow through and responsiveness. She's completely trustworthy and person of her word. This was an odd experience. I have leased properties for over 15 years and I have never had someone, seemingly, trying to lease a property so uninterested in leasing a property. Even if I had contracts on every property (which they don't) I would want to preserve a future opportunity. I'm only writing this review because I waisted a lot of time looking through their website and driving by possible properties only to be blown off. Very unprofessional. If this is how they behave before someone leases a property I wouldn't want to find out how they behave after. read more

I lived at the Highland for 18mo and moved with a 60 d at notice. I sent an email to the manager to do an exit walk through and never got a reply. A few days later I got a bill in the mail cleaning and missing keys. No big deal but had they done the exit walk through I could have given the keys back.....In Dec. 15 2020 the letter I received said I was to get a deposit refund of $781.00 after several emails to management I to this day have not received my refund. So I was never late on rent and I gave my 60 day notice and the could care less if you get you money back or not. I have been told it's in review???? Review for what it's a refund and you have already told me how much it is..... Just send the money already. I can know they don't let you move and pay your deposit whenever you want or I bet they won't let you three months without paying rent but they can keep your money as long as they want. In short I would not rent from them. read more

Right now I've had now issues I'm jobless and Lisa Smith has helped me tremendously so me and my 3 year can live and helped me with getting help for rent, I hear awful things but I live in colony house and I love my apt yes I issued with my bathroom but who doesn't, I've been treated with kindness and care since day one and I appreciate everyone that I've talked to on the phone. Who ever had a bad experience I'm sorry but my experiences have been amazing helpful I have a home to live raise my daughter no hassle no worries and no harassment on rent being late because my mind I will so only thing that sucks is the washer and dryer don't work well but oh well Lisa Smith is like a mama bear of the complex and a great property management/ manager 5 starts from me because she doesn't have to help me the way she has and she's been kind fixing issues when it comes to wrong rent typos just an amazing sweet caring women read more

This is actually the worst property management company I have ever dealt with. Specifically, Jill White. She is unresponsive to emails and phone calls, and when you eventually do get in contact with her, she has no idea what is ever going on, and on top of it is rude. Maybe it's just her personality, but even so, she is in the wrong line of business. Additionally, the maintenance for their properties is severely lacking. This company used to be good, a few years ago. The last two years have been a rapid decline that they should really address, because more and more of their tenants are becoming absolutely fed up. read more

There are some funny reviews on here! This will be a simple one. We are happy with Indio. Only complaint would be switchover with our property manager and the parking situation. It has seemed to be a bit of a never ending unknowing circle. Maybe transition documents should be suggested when a new manager comes in so they know a mild overview of tenants and the property. Overall that has been our only issue in 3 years. read more

TERRIBLE APARTMENT COMPLEX!!!! We moved into Fisher Trails Apartments and had a horrible experience. We were without hot water for our fist two weeks of moving in. We experienced a power outage, blamed on our electric supplier, yet it was a problem by Indio. Then our mailbox key broke inside of our mailbox and we were told we had to fix the mailbox ourselves. The gate never worked, or was always left open. The parking lot was so tiny, my car got sideswiped several times by construction workers trucks while they were still working on the complex. AND FINALLY we were charged a $975 MOVE OUT FEE!!!!!!! The pictures included in the inspection report showed an empty cabinet with one black speck of dirt on it, a general picture of the floor (said to be dirty), natural water stains in the bathtub from the shower head that couldn't be cleaned, and sun damage on the walls around where we hung pictures. I highly recommend no one signs a lease here! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Let's start out with the fact when I moved in I wasn't able to get internet for OVER A MONTH! This was all because no one was actually trying to help, I was the ONLY resident and no one was trying to fix my issue of no internet. Which could have been fixed the first week if management actually listened. Skip ahead a few months and my car was broken into. This was infuriating seeing that when I signed my lease I was told a gate was going to be installed ( also the gate and other amenities were listed online on the property website ) this was the reason I choose this property over another. Not only was I LIED to by the leasing office about a gate being installed when I called to let the property now my car was broken into I was told "crime has no zip code and a gate wouldn't have stopped the criminal" -- yes this is true but also a gate would make it harder to do so. Especially since my car was broken into in the middle of the day. The lack of professionalism at Indio is mind blowing!!!! read more

Sarah was great with helping my boyfriend and I find an apartment that we both THOUGHT was nice. She drove us around several locations and even had someone else cover another appointment while she showed us around. We settled for their NUVO apartments due to the size and updated features, but everything started going downhill from there. Our leasing contract states that we were suppose to find our own electric company, while water, gas and trash will be billed to us. I had problems trying to set up our electricity due to the fact that the address for our unit was wrong, and there was only one electric meter for the whole building. (One building connects sixteen units.) Upon this realization, I contacted our apartment manager, Heather, and she told me that she would be taking care of our electric bill until separate electric meters were installed, so that was nice. But the meters were never installed and we were soon charged for community electricity without notice. I understand that we need to pay for our own electricity, that's fine, but a notice would've been nice. Plus, paying for lights that were left on in empty units were part of the community electricity. The A/C was not working when we moved in, which was summer time. It took two weeks for them to fix it. Then came the rain, that cause water damage in the kitchen and restrooms. It took about five to six months for someone to finally come and fix that, after I had called emergency maintenance several times. The carpet on the stairs were coming off, and I noticed there were several holes in the walls in the stairway, as well as strange holes in the corner of the restroom lined with a brown stain. All of the floors were crooked, creaky, and did not line up with the crown molding of the walls. The doors were not sealed correctly, which allowed little bugs to crawl into the unit. Our mailbox key never worked. Both our cars were broken into, glass shattered and all. There are security cameras outside that happen to "never see anything". The random smell of sewage seeped into our apartment very often. Close to the end of our lease, I noticed termites have eaten through the walls of the restroom, and at one point started crawling all over the walls and floor. I sent a maintenance request and called the apartment, just for them to tell me that their maintenance requests have been going straight to their junk mail box. Even more strange was the fact that after the day they "fumigated" our apartment building, roaches showed up and another group of termites tore through the walls. I emailed my thirty days notice, which our new apartment manager, Stephanie, somehow forgot about until I sent her a screenshot of our earlier messages. I dropped a check off at the office that went unnoticed because our other apartment manager, Heather, had not dropped by the office in over a week, and declared that I should do online payments for "my" convenience. After moving out, they went me a "deposit allocation" statement, meaning that they were basically refusing to give me back my deposit, and telling me what they were going to use it for instead. Like fixing the damage walls (left from the termites and water damage), cleaning the unit (which is done in every apartment before/after move), and cleaning and deodorizing the carpet. Why am I paying for something that they were going to do anyways? This company just wants to suck as much money from you as they can. The apartment was cheaply made and management sucks. I do not recommend any of the properties that this apartment group owns, just for the sake of avoiding these people. read more

I live in a gated complex, managed by Indio. I woke up at 6:30 a couple of mornings ago to witness the premeditated theft of my bbq grill. The thief had propped the front gate open with a brick and took off with my (55 lb) grill on the handlebars of a Limebike. As I've said, the complex is gated, so whoever the thief was, they had knowledge of the code. Certain members of Indio's maintenance team do not exactly inspire confidence when it comes to the security of the complex. For instance, one employee comes by the complex frequently, presumably in his off-time, walking his pit bull. He does not live in the complex. I often see him and his dog inside the courtyard and poking around in the back parking area. Honestly, his demeanor is menacing and his presence is invasive. This conduct is obviously unprofessional, and I think it reflects poorly on Indio Management. Security does not seem to be a priority. read more

Before moving to my current apartment I looked at a couple of places, including an Indio Management property. I came to the conclusion if the representative from Indio could not make it to the showing or be reached at the time of the showing then I would not be satisfied with the way they handled property management. Fast forward to a year and a half later. My current apartment was bought out and Indio Management took over property management a few months ago--owner is unknown. On July 4th the AC unit was knocked out. They provided one portable cooler immediately, but it took over two weeks of complaining before Marcus offered to add another unit. Another tenant was told that they were not offering a second portable cooler to everyone in order to manage costs. One of the coolers we have floods every 3-4 hours in the bedroom, leaving us to wake up in the middle of the night to turn it on. It is July 26th and we still have no resolve or promise date as to when the AC will be repaired. Unless I email Marcus and call him, there is radio silence. There has been zero accountability for the issue and Indio hides behind the owner's decision making, or rather lack thereof. Not to mention, there has been zero compensation offered to any of the tenants. We are held responsible for paying full month's rent in July and will be in August. I would NEVER recommend a friend or a stranger to sign a lease with any of Indio's properties. Not to say that things don't go wrong or even that they don't take time. My issue is that neither the owner, nor management has taken responsibility of the property maintenance and tenant's well being. There has also been no accountability to repair in a timely manner. read more

If I could rate this management company 0 stars I would. First of all, I moved into a unit that wasnt the same one I was shown. Different layout. It was not clean or in move in condition. I've had leaks, floods everything else happened since I moved in. Just patch work to these issues. No real fixes. My car has gotten towed. Due to not picking up a parking sticker during their very limited office hours. My lease which states I have a parking permit with my license number on it is not valid because the have the right to change policy mid-lease term due to notices. I thought they were friendly and trying to offer a helping hand, but they just use whatever they have done nice against you. They take dumps, try not to put any money into them and rent them to those who have credit blemishes. This is a shitty management company. I would never recommend it to anyone. I will be moving as soon as I can possibly can. November 2016 can come fast enough. read more
