I have been trying to contact an office manager several days now via email and phone. I even went in person and no one was at the front desk. I rung the bell and saw people inside the office suit and no one came to assist me regarding my apartment unit. I Highly recommend NOT to rent from any properties owned by Indio Management. I live at The Hamptons Apartments. Indio Property Management Team is SORRY! I have had mold issues and a ceiling leak in which they FAILED to repair in a timely manner which is a violation of my lease agreement. According to Texas Property Code 92.056, repairs have to be made in a reasonable amount of time and there are remedies that you can take. I highly suggest you to know your rights as a Tenant. I have contacted Code Compliance and two enforcement officers came out to inspect the ceiling leak. They have until June 25th to make the repairs. The so called contractor came out and cut out a big chunk of the sheet rock out and sprayed Kilz to kill the mold. I informed him that the mold in the wall has to be removed. Needless to say, the contractor was seen with my very own eyes drinking beer and smoking. I texted the maintenance manager, Calvin. I emailed Imelda and Jocelyn numerous times about the mold, and they have NEVER responded to any of my emails nor phone calls. A ton of my shoes, clothes, and purses were destroyed and mold infested. You can smell the mold if you enter into my apartment and it seems to be coming from the vent. The maintenance manager, Calvin came out about a month ago and called himself cleaning the mold. What a joke this was and when it rained the cement leak was leaking again and the mold resurfaced which indicates that the mold and ceiling leak was NEVER repaired correctly. I will be taking legal action against the property owner, Seth Bame and Indio Property Management. I filed a complaint with BBB and Indio's BBB rating is an F. Wait a minute, they are charging tenants for utilities and my building does NOT have a meter! Under the new lease agreement in which I did not get one, shows that tenants have to pay a fee for the security camera. Guess what, the security cameras do not work! The Regional Manager, Leigh Ann Lee won't answer phone calls, voicemails, emails, texts, doesn't try to pay vendors on time, neither does accounts payable or anyone else there. If they owe you money, just repo your materials, take the loss in labor or file a lien against them and if that doesn't help, file charges for theft of services against them. This is a company with plenty of money that puts vendors last. They pay their staff on time but don't pay their trash pickup bills, so their properties have overflowing dumpsters with trash everywhere. Wyndham On the Creek Apartments is now owned by Indio Management. The Both apartment and staff deserve zero stars. I discourage any new or potential, residents from leasing at the Wyndham on the creek apartments. They have recently been sold to Indio management as of May 2023, and This apartment has went down tremendously. Do not lease at this apartment, the office workers are unfit to be in any leadership roles, unaccountable, rude, and unprofessional. Ana Barrera & Her assistant Stephanie, purposely keep the office phone off, and send tenants to voicemail. The entire time the office is suppose to be open. I called the office a total of ten times today from two different phones and each time the phone sent me to voicemail " The Verizon customer is unavailable and doesn't allow residents/ potential tenants, to leave a voicemail. I sent a email, asking why the phone goes to voicemail, and doesn't allow anyone to leave a voicemail. Exactly 2 minutes after I sent the email, I called and the phone rung through. Stephanie answered 1 out of 11 calls. That was made to the wyndham on the creek apartment office. I called to request maintenance on my air conditioner and they sent an maintenance person who did not fix the air, he came for five minutes and left out my patio door. I called again and they didn't send anyone back to recheck the air conditioner. My apartment has been at 83 to 90 plus degree for two days. Heating and Cooling are emergency work orders and demand immediate attention. I emailed, and called multiple times today, and even sent a picture of my thermostat, verses Ana sending maintenance to my apartment, she sent a picture of a thermostat showing 72 degrees for the Wyndham on the creek office thermostat. I pay to live in an apartment with air conditioning, you get paid to sit in a cool office, we are not the same. When it HUD Federal regulations, this apartment fails. I have lived here 3 years, before the new owners took over in May 2023 and I have experienced high hot Texas summer temperatures, but my apartment was able to be cool and definitely under 83-90 degrees. The apartment, have went down in the last two month. There is a big change in leadership, and staff decorum and respect for residents living here. Let's Talk About it. There has been three overflowing dumpster for two months. The maintenance do not pick up the park lots. They walk around on their phones all day. The new managers do not provide security at night. so it dark at night because they to cheap to pay for parking lot lights. The POOL doesn't work. Had to sit down with the VP over drama drama drama and was decided I wasn't a good fit. Apparently employees are allowed to throw senior management under the bus when management puts on the pressure to produce results and keep up with goals. This company was a total joke at the end of the day and an entire waste of a full week for me that I could have spent dedicated to a company that actually cared about the new team members they bring on. TERRIBLE!!!!! I have a roach infestation and after contacting the office several times about the issue, I finally sent a certified letter. The manager, Tammy was clearly upset about the certified letter as she belittled me several times, calling me "sweetie" saying I was wasting my time... gave me a can of roach spray and suggested I spray it, sprinkle boric acid, set off bombs, and leave my unit for 3 days. Before the pandemic this group was not the best with communicating with its tenants. Be very cautious before filling out the application for any of this groups properties or signing a lease. The only staff that seemed professional was the building engineer maintenance person who did his best to help with repairs. The on-site staff is pretty much non-existent and when you set an appointment with someone they are late. Several residences have waited 45 minutes to an hour for someone to show up with zero response to voice mail and emails. When someone did arrive the staff seemed confused about scheduling for the day. However when moving out it seems as if the management company does not want you to go but then turns around tries to inundate you with extra information at the end. Reminder to previous paragraph about scheduling to meet with the staff to give them all the information needed is chore within itself. Beware of the sketchy tow truck company this group uses. United Tow is the worst in Dallas, Tx so look them up online to read all the news articles about them to make ones own determination. If anyone does end up as a residence of Indio know they will only communicate with you by email primarily, call when they want, and not respond to your callback. Unfortunately you have to printout your documentation and maintenance request as back-up because they will close out things before they are finished. For example a staff members called me at work stating they were going into the unit for repairs. I called as well as emailed the on-site staff before driving home from work for an update and received no response. I was fortunate enough to get secondhand information from a neighbor who had their residence worked on for the same reason. After 2 days of calling for an official response from the staff I just sent an email only to have them question update on repairs. Not even sure why I'm bothering to leave a review, as every other one I've skimmed is also talking about how horrible Indio is. Out of curiosity, I also checked BBB, & they have an "F" rating there. I lived in Austin's Place, which is in Highland Park. The owner of Indio, Seth Bame, is an HP resident - has he not seen this large number of awful reviews of his company? Some you can obviously take with a grain of salt, but with this number you would think it would be concerning enough to implement some changes. The building on Abbott itself is very old, which includes the windows, and the heating and cooling systems are totally antiquated (which they do not disclose before you move in). The heating is a boiler system, so you don't have control over whether you have heat or air - either the heat is on or the air is on, a total nightmare in Texas when the temps swing daily sometimes. From the minute I moved in, the a/c return in the hallway ceiling leaked heavily at times. Often I wasn't home when it started, & if I was I couldn't always contain the leaks, even with multiple buckets. I can't even imagine the mold, ugh, which they refused to address - & I wasn't the only one with mold issues. That leak went on the entire time I lived there, resulting in buckling floors and and stained walls that were never fixed. One ENTIRE miserable summer we all lived without central air - working central a/c was guaranteed as a condition of rental - & they installed temporary window units which in no way cooled the space adequately (especially for the amount of rent), with no rental discount or compensation of any kind from Indio. Other times, the old unit would go out totally & residents were told parts were "on order," often taking a week or more to come in. I regularly had to stay with family or friends because it was too hot to be inside without air. Even when it worked, it never cooled adequately. Two different times I lived beneath families of SEVEN, both of whom had lots of kids who ran & jumped & screamed unceasingly. Wouldn't you at least put a group like this on the first floor?? When I asked Marcus the property manager for help when the first family moved in, he told me that it was my word against theirs, & they might say I was loud in return or that my dog barked - yes, he really said that. When I asked if anyone had complained about me, he said no. ?? Also, when I was notified my rent was increasing & I responded by again by expressing how difficult it was to live beneath a family of 7, the assistant property manager told me if I "didn't like it" I "could move." Indio made sure the front of the property was manicured, but ignored the courtyard where the residents lived - dead shrubs, no greenery, just mud that washed onto the walkways with every rain, & cracked surfaces that 1 resident tripped on resulting in her triple leg fracture for which it took months to recover. At one point, a resident was subletting bedrooms like an AirBNB (which is not allowed, obviously), & one of the sub-renters was a drug dealer - there were videos by residents of all kinds of gang members/homeless people/people clearly on drugs or buying drugs coming & going - it was only after a large number of us complained repeatedly & called the police over & over that Indio stepped in. One of the maintenance men that lived on site said he brought it to Indio repeatedly, including directly to Seth Bame. He said subsequently someone at Indio accused him of going "over the heads" of his supervisors and suggested that he could be fired, instead of recognizing that he was trying to ensure safety for his family & other residents. First people who did not have stickers were parked behind my parking. The gate never works, you either have to park your car outside! When asked thy always say they are fixing it! Never got my deposit back; I would never live there again. I lived in Fisher trails for about 2 1/2 years. I always paid rent on time, and considered myself a good tenant. My apartment had a consistent pot smell wafting from my neighbors. I emailed management about it oh, 4 or 5 times, but they unfortunately could never do anything about it. The back gate was often broken; the back trash can situation often out-of-control disgusting. We even had a homeless man living next to our dumpster on discarded mattresses for a while. I did communicate with the DM about the leak that has existed since I've been here. Six years minimum. Each unit pays over 80.00 in water/sewage charges. She evidently came by the property and didn't see a leak, therefore there is no leak. Try looking at the first building facing Gilbert closest to Douglas. Little soggy so watch your step. When Indio comes to an apartment you live in, it's like DuPont is now your neighbor. This company ruins everything, resells, increases rents and place falls apart. Indio Property Management is an enemy at large, in Texas and Florida plus other states. They came into Dallas as fast the took off. Chopped down all trees, plastic grass, palm trees at a hefty price, all died within one year. We had beautiful Banana Trees. They removed them all for plastic grass. Put in a grill that as of this day, was never connected to gas line. Chopped down huge rare Oriental fruit tree to ground and put up a stupid wooden gazebo. That is looks only. Indio dod not replace all doors. Only ones for a quick sale. The electric outlets all still malfunction. All they did was pretty it up new appliances that many units cant handle the electric. Fuses constantly going out. Nothing was re-wired. Only solid thing done was new roof. They painted these decreped side wall murals that no more fit into south of Highland Park then a tent city. My boyfriend and I have lived at Prospect for a month and a half and have already had an overwhelmingly negative experience since we've moved in. First, our property manager is unresponsive at best. I've reached out to her several times via email about an ongoing problem, and in almost 2 weeks she has not responded to a single one but yet she had the time to put in everyone's rent charges yesterday. Second, our refrigerator has been freezing all of our food completely solid since we moved in and our manager can't seem to be bothered. (I've put in maintenance requests as well, so I didn't rely solely on email) Mind you, I even gave our property manager the opportunity to allow maintenance to exchange our fridge with that of an unoccupied unit so that they wouldn't have to hire an appliance expert to look at the fridge! Still no response on that. We can't keep anything in the fridge if we plan on eating it within the next 12-14 hours because you have to calculate defrost time of your food. We've spent hundreds of dollars on eating out and replacing food that was RUINED in our fridge after maintenance came twice and assured the problem was resolved, but actually after we put food in we realized they made the issue worst. Yay, more money down the drain. Third, there is no security gate that closes to safeguard our cars. (we were given gate openers upon move in for a gate that doesn't even exist) A tenant in our complex had her car broken into in broad daylight. Indio so conveniently removed the sign in the parking lot that says it is being "surveilled" not even a day after it happened probably because it is false advertisement considering there is not a single surveillance camera on the property. Even as they agreed to waive a fee for damage that was already there when I moved in, they stopped answering my calls and e-mails, and I never received a single penny in the mail at the new address I provided. It would've been the easiest case at the JP court, but I honesty had more important things going on. Indio is a company that owns many properties. I've only lived with them for one year in one property so I can only review my experience with that property. As a company, everyone I spoke to or dealt with was plenty respectful and polite and even friendly. That's why they are getting 2 stars from me. Based on the property I live in, however, I would rate this 1 star. I lived in a property called Carriage House. The most redeeming quality it has is its location. Beyond that, almost every expectation I've had has not even been close to being met. Here's some things I've faced that have made my living experience less than ideal: -The on-site laundry room is a complete joke, which is something I think they would prioritize more seeing as I don't believe any of the units have hookups. It is shared between two properties, which would be fine if it received the care it needs. The dryers have worked about 4 times for me in the year I've lived here. Other times, they take 3 cycles in order to get loads dry. One of the washers leaves your clothes sopping wet. I did a load of towels in that one and spent close to an hour wringing them out just to spend another two and a half running them through the dryer. They usually didn't eat my coins but recently have started, so add that to the list. I honestly don't know why they won't replace the whole lot of washers and dryers in there. (We have put in multiple requests as I'm sure other residents have) I would reject it altogether but there aren't any good laundromats within a couple miles. Also, it's 2020, I feel like a company as large as Indio could install a way to pay with card. I used to live in a crappy town in east Texas and even the tiny places there had them years ago. For this reason alone, my roommate and I had decided not to renew months before our lease was up. -The A/C is also a joke. It has never worked while I've lived here except for the first month. I should have known after I saw multiple people had window units. What's worse is that any requests we've put in have been brushed off. I gave up eventually. Now I've just been suffering through it. Crappy A/C in Texas has to be one of the worst things an apartment company can do to its residents but here we are. -My gate remote never worked either. I had it replaced by the company several times, and again gave up simply because it never worked no matter how they replaced it. My roommates did, so we made do switching off. -Thin walls/floors. If it were just this, I wouldn't complain. It's an old building so I get it. For reference, I once heard one of my neighbors fart. I frequently hear them coughing. When louder neighbors moved in, I am unofficially invited to every 3 am DJ party they have. (I can hear the feedback on their speakers so I know they must have some impressive sound system.) For me, I struggled with the creaky floorboards because I feel terrible for my downstairs neighbors... but I have to walk. Even my cat makes the floor creak and he's 10 lbs. For this reason I tiptoe everywhere and limit my indoor workouts as much as possible. Thankfully it's not everywhere in my apartment, just where it counts most. -Ants. Always ants, no matter how clean or what time of year. I see them on the outside of my apartment trying to find their way in and, I don't know how, but they always find a way. To be fair, I've never contacted Indio about this (just done my part keeping it clean, helps marginally, and killing them) but it's worth noting. Lastly, the response to the Covid19 pandemic from them was passively threatening to say the least. But I expected that from a company that won't address the issues I listed above. I would enthusiastically tell anyone I know to avoid this property like the plague, and regard Indio as a whole with extreme caution at the very least. read more

DO NOT MOVE TO Austin Place Apartments. Worst mistake of my life. I can't give full review of Indio Management as a whole, but I can say that the management for Austin Place is worse than horrid. The only, I really mean only perk of this place is that it is in Highland Park, which if you have a child is zoned to one the top school districts in the U.S. Cons: 1) They do not have centrally controlled air or heating. The entire complex is aerated by a chiller/boiler unit that the company controls themselves, like a 1960 hotel. They choose when its cold enough to turn the heater and when its warm enough to turn on the AC. If you know Dallas's weather, its really no way to predict the heat/cold from one day to the other. Many nights where you sweat it out because the heater is still activated (or vice-versa), and calling Indio does nothing but waste your time. Furthermore, the very chiller/boiler that I'm referring to goes out like 3x times per summer and I promise has taken them 5 days to repair; with us just left to sit in the Dallas summer heat. They don't care. May as well plan to buy window units for your apartment if you sign a contract there. The fact that they offer anything but rent with all-inclusive utilities is fraud. Wanna catch them off guard? Ask the leasing office about this and watch the blood rush from their faces. They intentionally don't tell you about this during leasing. 2) The plumbing is terrible. The pipes in kitchens and bathrooms are constantly clogging. I had to buy Drano once a month to clear the drains just to comfortably take a shower without the water pooling up to my calves. The pipes make the place smell pretty bad. The dish washers are old and don't clean dishes well. You have to wash them twice or use extra product to get them cleaned the first time, which can get expensive. 3) The maintenance men are very talkative and often inappropriate with their mannerisms with women tenants. Made me pretty uncomfortable calling them for assistance. I literally would leave my place or call a friend over if I knew they were coming by. 4) There is a tenant who has been there for years who reports her discontent to Indio Management regularly. She writes nasty letters and leaves them around the complex on walls and stairwells when she gets a wild hair up her butt; I even saw her leaving notes on tenants cars. She falsely accused my neighbor of leaving dog poop on the ground, when all the while it was a different tenant. She's pretty toxic and everyone seems to be afraid of telling her about herself. So be careful. ***Please take my advice. Do NOT move to Austin Place***. Read the reviews on Indio Management. NOT GOOD. Happy I got the heck outta there. read more

My car was broken into only a couple of days ago. I had previously raised concerns about a gate that is constantly left open. This gate was also open in the morning after my car was broken into. Just left Austin Place in Highland Park. Read the post by Sergio. Its 100% accurate. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Moving there is a mistake until they fix the pipes and install individual AC units. They bamboozled me as well by withholding the info about the community AC unit. Living in a "renovated"property and let me tell you false advertisement! I moved in since February and I was told before signing that they offered internet (work from home) THERE IS NOOO INTERNET. No proper parking lot (covered in nails) beginning of April is when they decided to add a dumpster, all trash was piled there smelling like crap. A/C unit was installed March and as of now April, there's a loud noise. Order was made to come out and still no one has came. Apartments are cheaply made, whoever hired this Billy guy truly didn't know what he was doing. As a fact for sure I won't be seeing my deposit. Washer and dryer good luck! Space was made so small. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I have been a resident at The BX5 since November 2021. The management is horrible. They never answer the phone or call you back for starters. The only way to hear back from them is if you go up to the office. This is difficult for people that work during normal business hours. The first issue I had living here is that they lied during my tour. I know that the area is not the safest so I made sure to ask if they had cameras. They told me yes. I then ended up having my catalytic converter stolen. I called security and asked if they had footage and if I could have it since the police requested it. They said it just depends because they didn't know if it was working. I also have an ESA from my therapist. Legally, you are not allowed to charge a tenant for an ESA. They posted a $300 balance on my account once my application was approved without explaining what it was. I assumed it was the deposit and paid it. Later on I was informed that it was a pet fee and that I just shouldn't have paid it. I wasn't upset and decided it was no big deal as long as they credit it on the account for the next months rent. Months later, after multiple calls with no answer, and plenty of visits to the office, I was informed that their manager said not to refund or credit the money because it had been too long. They eventually agreed to refund after threats of suing because that is against the law. I initially rented with my brother. We had some issues that caused my safety to be at risk. I ended up asking him to leave and we went to the office and removed him from the lease. I informed management that it was a safety issue and he had been physical with me. They told me they took him off. We have now tried three times because they somehow keep misplacing the paperwork and blame me for not calling the police when the incident occurred. He is still on the lease but I have given up trying as I am moving in less than a week and he is unaware that he is still on it. I believe it is safer for me to ignore it than reach out to sign paperwork with him again. They charge you to throw away your trash Sunday- Thursday. The valet trash sucks. They have strict weight rules, number of bags, and just simply don't do their job half of the time. I wouldn't mind except for the fact that they took away the dumpsters and now we are unable to throw away our own trash. Even if you have a friend over for less than an hour, you have to pay to let them park. It used to be free but if you can't tell, they are money hungry. I could go on all day but will stop now. Simply put, DO NOT MOVE HERE. MANAGEMENT SUCKS AS WELL AS THE OFFICE STAFF. read more

I love Indio management! I came to Dallas and rented at Ross and Matilda sight unseen! They were so helpful when I moving to a city blind, and now I've been here a year and I still love it. They are ridiculously quick with maintenance requests and any request - in my community or in my apartment - are resolved immediately. Ross and Matilda has a great community and friendly faces! It's a little pricey for the size but the location is impossible to beat and with all the utilities included, it makes moving in from out of town a breeze! read more

About 2 months into living at Indio, the ALWAYS broken gate hit my car. I had to stop because the street allows parking on both sides and a car was coming so I couldn't go. The gate seriously dented my back passenger door and the wheel arch panel. The first time I called Marcus (the property manager) he answered and was friendly. However, he stopped answering my calls and voicemails. I even went to Indio's office and he wouldn't speak with me. About a month after this happened, I get back from work and guess what... new signs on every gate stating that the apartment is not responsible for any damaged to cars. Indio is a fast growing company and I really like the renovations they've done to some of the older buildings in Dallas... but give your $1,200/mo+ rent to a company who will take better care of you and your property. read more

If I could give a negative star I would! Heather Harrelson and Micheala Ashinhurst at the Ventura Apartments in Arlington TX are aggressive and uncaring people! Indio Management bought the property in December of 2023. They did not have their payment portal set up correctly and I was forced to take off work and drive from Dallas to hand deliver rent for three months straight. The utility amounts were not posted until the first of the month (the utility was billed two months behind schedule) and you were unable to pay online until the 1st even when you received the paper copy in the mail on the 23rd with the amount owed being the same as what was posted. Why? Especially when my final bill came and magically... my last month was included! Also, I experienced car vandalization, personal property damage that was not replaced, there was always trash in the parking lot at least twice per month we got noticed that there was an issue with the boiler or water lines and had water cut off for hours. Worst rental experience of my life! Run... don't rent! read more

I live in a property they manage in Midlothian Texas. Older property, terrible on-site management. Complex has received new exterior paint but beyond that the property has problems: 1) Dumpsters not emptied often enough. Currently the dumpsters are emptied on Monday and Thursday. By pick-up time they are overflowing. Their solution? Force a trash valet on the residents. The trash valet picks up trash at the door and tosses them in the dumpster. The trash valet service is not a plus for the residents. The service is just a way for the complex to make money off of its residents - another fee. An unneeded service and a ripoff. Monday, Wednesday, Friday would make much more sense than a valet service that only fills up dumpsters - the property got along fine without this service for almost 30 years. 2) Complex forced new locks from ADP on all residents. Again, a way for the company to pick the pockets of the residents. This is an additional, forced, $45/per month charge. 3) Interiors are dated 4) Rent rates are overpriced at Turtle Cove. 5). Landscaping is terrible. The complex needs more trees - especially where trees have been removed. It would also be nice if they watered the grass. 6) Water and sewer is billed separately by some mysterious allocation of charges done by the company. My suspicion is it's another way the company picks the pocket of residents. Suggestions - ease up on the rent charges and increases. Lots of empty apartments. Empty apartments mean no revenue and raising rents won't make up for empty units. Ditch the trash valet - it's not a service, it's a scheme to line Indio's pockets. Improve the landscaping. Site manager needs to follow through on promises. On the plus side, the maintainence man is great. Bottom line, stay away from Indio managed properties. Stay away from Turtle Cove (or 9th St Apartments). It won't be hard to find better rental options than this one. When my lease is up, I'm gone read more

We moved in to Fisher Tails Apartments before Christmas, and we are still unable to get internet. These apartments are newly renovated, and we were the first tenants. While the apartments are nice (minus a few maintenance issues) I wish we had never moved in. We have had several internet techs out from AT&T and Time Warner (We are required to use one or the other), and they both say the same thing...That they can't service the building because their wiring was ripped out by the construction crew. Two months later, and we are still without internet. Indio keeps blaming the Internet companies, while both companies say they need Indio to sign a contract before they can install the new wiring. Indio says they don't need to sign a contract, and here we are months later, still unable to get internet. AND I work from home as a personal stylist, so this has been a complete nightmare for me. OH and ALSO we can't get our mail because they haven't had the locks installed on the mailboxes. Per our experience, I would give Indio 0/0 stars if I could. read more

This company had me down for 3 accounts, under 3 different apartments, and did not handle their business professionally. NOT A GOOD place to stay. Roaches are very bad and your paying for Pest control! WOW... They say no aggressive breeds, that is all that is walking up and down when office is closed. All those 5 star Reviews are from Indio employees. Indio is incompetent. They took over a property that's had 3 owners and 6 management companies in 3 years. The same old people have been living here for ages and had to endure this roller coaster ride from Hell and they know this, but instead of being gentle with the tenants they leave unsubstantiated accusations on the doors and obnoxious threats but are so LAZY they can't leave a note explaining changes in payment policies which is vital information because Maggie in the office said they didn't "feel like it." But that comes from the top. They cut off my power 2 weeks ago without warning also, in the middle of a heat wave, it wasn't Centerpoint it was INDIO property mgt/ all bills paid complex/ changing WITHOUT WARNING to pay your own power bills and almost KILLED MY DOG who was in 110 degree apartment for 2 days, cost me $400.00 in vet bills at Long Drive Animal hospital to re-hydrate him...AGAIN they didn't "feel like" informing tenants adequately with a note on the door like easily do when they want to spew obnoxious threats and lies about a tenant. read more

I stay at the Bernard (part of the Bx5) and don't have too many issues, but when I do need something, management sucks. As of now I am applying for another place/co to stay at and need rental verification yet Rosa Barrera can't most likely isn't sending it. Applied to 2 different places so far, 1st one it took them over a week just to send rental verification, 2nd and current time I went into office gave her the email address to send rental info to place I applied to, and said it couldn't send the email. I'm right there with Rosa and showing her the correct email and she can't get it right?! I recevied and replied to the email of the apartments I applied for and she can't?! Any valid email address can email another valid email address. And i've had another woman say she is Rosa Barrera one time and she keeps telling me different things everytime I come in. I swear, these people are incompintent and or playing games. And yes, some of the staff is rude and flippant. Either way, they all SUCK! Don't rent with Indio Management! I moved into my apartment in 2013, before Indio Management took over my specific property. There have been pros and cons along the way. The apartment complex grounds are maintained much better than they were previously. While I don't like being woken up by landscapers on Friday morning, I appreciate how the grounds look. Most of my maintenance issues are resolved fairly quickly, except an issue with my floor- after all the rain in May, it became warped. I have talked to management twice and nothing has come of it. A few months ago I was having issues with my power and it kept going off. I would flip the breakers but it would still stay off. Power bill had been paid, maintenance came to look at my breaker box multiple times and nothing would work. I called the emergency maintenance phone number, that is run by Indio, and no one answered. My refrigerator was off for a while weekend, and I had to stay off site until the power came back. When I talked to my apartment manager about reimbursement for the groceries that were ruined she said to talk to the apartment management company. I called Indio's office and let them know that whoever was in charge of the emergency maintenance line never answered calls- or called me back. I also explained that my food had ruined. The woman I spoke to, Lisa Smith, kept cutting me off and giving me excuses that the manager on my property was responsible for issuing any reimbursement for perished food items. I was appalled by how I was treated and spoken to by the management company. I've never had an issue with my property manager. read more
