From our engagement photo shoot to our wedding party we trusted Indio Florist with everything. We knew off the bat we didn't want a traditional wedding floral. From the beginning I spoke to the talented designer Manuela regarding envisioning a bag style bride bouquet. She made one of silk and a centerpiece for my engagement shoot which is my wedding keepsake now since it's never going to wilt. So happy we made the decision for the silk bag as we used it for my wedding party/photoshoot and didn't have to worry about it wilting. We placed an order for the wedding ceremony for both our families so we had ordered about 9-10 boutonnières for the gentlemen and 6 corsage wristlets for the ladies which looked beautiful! I absolutely loved my fresh flower bride bouquet for the ceremony. It was vibrant and everything I envisioned. For the wedding party we did over 10 bud vase centerpieces which unfortunately had to be switched out into large mugs since the weather was super windy but even with the last minute changes everything looked beautiful. I personally love tulips so I was so glad that she included them in the centerpieces. We got to reuse our engagement silk pieces as well for our wedding party in the photo backdrop area which was the perfect touch. In my 64 years on this earth I have received countless floral arrangements and dealt with many many florists and THIS ONE IS THE WORST! The arrangement was to be delivered to me by 12pm on Monday- but my daughter had to interrupt her busy day ( as a surgical tech ) to call them numerous times for them to get the flowers to me by 5pm when we were going out for the evening. When the flowers arrived they did look pretty skimpy and sad- three carnations, a few daisies and mostly FILLER all arranged haphazardly. I decided not to say anything as to not hurt my daughter's feelings. Now it is exactly 2 1/2 days since their delivery and the entire arrangement is drooping and mostly DEAD. I called Indio florist, sent them several pictures of their terrible-dead arrangement just to be told that "their guarantee is 24 hours" - SERIOUSLY??? What kind of a florist does this? The flowers delivered looked like a 14 year old with no flower experience put a bunch of flowers in a vase. Every flower was one dark pink color and one light pink color with a pink bow. When my wife showed our 28 year old daughter the flowers all she said was, That bouquet is very pink. I was embarrassed that my wife received these where she works. Dozens of people saw them. If they were nice this careless flower shop would have gotten business from those who walked by and saw it. My husband purchased some roses at this floral shop . The first day Thurs) they were very fresh and beautiful , by the Sat night they were wilted . I contacted the shop and let them know what had happened with the roses , they said we have a 48 hour policy - to call us , we'll , they were closed on Sunday . They also said did you cut the stems and put them in fresh water when you got them home! My husband picked them up at the floral shop. We did as they said, the flowers still wilted . Let me first ask why do you need to cut the stems and put fresh water in the vase when picking up the flowers? Aren't they suppose to have fresh water and have stems cut at the floral shop? My husband paid over $70.00 for these roses , the response from the floral shop was unacceptable and I asked for a replacement or refund . That did not happen. This florist will send out anything just to make money. I was so embarrassed when I received the picture of of what was delivered to my elderly sister for Christmas. When I spoke with the owner, who was incredibly rude and not apologetic, he claimed that what was delivered was very unique. Just look at the picture attached. I was so embarrassed that this was given to my sister. After heavy discussion, the owner would replace the plant, but would have to go and pick it up. Because my elderly sister is easily confused, I ask that they not do this and either give me a refund or send another plant. They would do neither without picking up the plant. The owner said if he were to accommodate my request, I would be responsible for him having to take the cost of the replacement out of his employees paycheck. All $52.64. I returned your dead flowers for a full refund to my daughters boyfriends credit card which you refused! You sure don't accept any fault or apologies for sending dead flowers for a customer who is away at college that trusted you to send his girlfriend a fresh bouquet of flowers. Then admitting you sent dead flowers because you agreed to refresh on your terms. Any other reputable florist would have a new arrangement sent out immediately and would pick up the dead ones. I ordered a large display for the urn for my mother's memorial service. They took down all the information: date and time the service started, telling me that the floral display would be there at 9:00 am, one hour before the service. At 9:15, my husband had to call because I was so stressed and distraught. They old him it would be there "shortly". But 15 minutes later, people began to show up, and there were still NO FLOWERS FOR MY MOTHER'S Urn! Then I was told my Dad was on his way, which sent me into even more of a level of anxiety that I didn't need the day of my mothers funeral. I called again and they told me the driver would be there in 15 minutes. The driver showed up as my father was walking into the church. I had to run to get my mother's urn in the floral display before he saw it so he wouldn't see her urn just sitting there on an empty table. There were so many people there, though that saw that sight. He was there 15 minutes before the service began. WHO KNOWS WHEN HE WOULD HAVE SHOWN UP, if at all, IF I HADN'T CALLED! My husband bought me a dozen Rose for $73 dollars on Saturday May 30. They looked great next day my birthday May 31. 4 if the rose heads had fallen over. Monday june 1st 7 had fallen over. i went in with my grandma in trying to support a family owned business but i was truly blown away with the horrible service we were greeted with, the "owner" started a conversation with saying that the roses are super expensive, as in assuming we couldn't afford the pricer ones like roses, he continued to show us the ugliest flowers there and when we made it clear what type of floral arrangement we wanted, they charged us 75 for 6 roses and 3 lilies, the colors were not at all what we asked for. If I could leave no stars, I would. I ordered flowers through Teleflora.com yesterday morning for my boyfriend's restaurant opening. I'd never done this before and realized that you don't really get the option of which florist will actually be making your order in the area where the flowers are to be delivered, but I thought it would probably be fine. Wrong! I ordered from the website what was called the "Desert Sunrise Bouquet". It was super pretty and kind of matched the motif of the restaurant. Succulents and desert-like colors... Except that the flowers were peach in the picture, so I wrote a special request for pink flowers to be put in place of the peach because the name of his restaurant has the word "pink" in it. I received a phone message at 3:05 pm from the Indio Florist looking for my boyfriend to see what time his place of business would be open until. I called Mary back and she just indicated that they already got the answer they needed and that was that. But I later find out that they also called his work three times asking the same question!! How unprofessional!! The flowers were to be a surprise. Isn't that usually the case for most floral deliveries!?! Not, "hey honey, I think I may order you some flowers today, so be on the lookout!" Ugh! And then the flowers weren't even delivered until around six pm. What upsets me the most is that the floral arrangement looked NOTHING like the arrangement that I paid for. I am not saying that the arrangement was ugly, but it wasn't what I ordered nor something I would have chosen at all. And instead of someone calling me and telling me that they couldn't make the arrangement similar and give me the option as to whether or not I still wanted it, they just did it anyway. You'd think that when I was on the phone with Mary, that she could have said something, but no. So the lesson here is that I will never order from Teleflora.com again. But also, I would never order directly from this florist either. And looking at other reviews, it looks like they've had more negative feedback than positive. Do yourself a favor and order elsewhere. ***update: the florist delivered a new arrangement to the restaurant which was the right thing to do and I appreciate that. My husband bought me a dozen red roses for Valentine's Day. They were delivered on Saturday afternoon, and by Tuesday they were totally drooping and dying. Wednesday morning, just 4 days after I got them, I called the shop and was told "that's just how roses are"' and that "they are just for show" (?). I ordered an arrangement of flowers my daughter in law. The on line picture showed several baby spray roses, daises and various other flowers with greenery filler. My daughter in law sent me a picture of what she received. I was shocked that it was just a vase of daisy's and greenery filler. She said there was one small rose in the arrangement. I paid $50.00 plus tax and delivery for a total of $71.00. I called the florist immediately. I was told to email them a picture and they would call me. Of course, they didn't. I called again to let them know I was not satisfied. I was told that the designer followed the recipe for that arrangement and that can not guarantee how many roses are in it. Again, I told her your on line picture shows 5-7 roses and she has one. Bottom line is I don't feel that I got what I paid for. They refused to offer any solution. I just received the WORST Customer Service from the owners of this store!!! (After reading the reviews I see why) If I could leave NO stars I would!! Flowers were sent to me and they received the order from a second party vendor, The flowers were delivered on Thursday 2/13 and because I wasn't home they left them outside! They didn't call ahead to see if anyone was home (which they said they do) I added water to the flowers when I got home. On Friday I noticed 2 of the roses looked a little droopy. I added more water seeing if that would help, but buy Saturday they were wilted. I called and the owner asked me to send pictures, and she would replace the bouquet on Tuesday because they were still busy with Valentine's Day and closed on Monday. The flowers were delivered and the arrangement wasn't even the same and only had 7 roses. I told the delivery guy (that I found out was the owner also) the arrangement wasn't the same as the one I received. I gave him the original one which by this time ALL the roses were drooping (fresh roses should last 7-10 days easy if watered properly) I told him too look at the arrangement and he asked did I care of it properly? I told him I have experience with flowers and I know how to take care of them. Then he said did I trim them...why would I have to trim flowers in a bouquet??? I never have before and you shouldn't have too. I told him I wasn't going to argue and as he walked away he said something else. I decided that I was gonna go to the shop and talk to the owner. Hours later the flowers finally show up wilted and the water is room tempature. The card is addressed to the person who purchased the flowers not to me and the writting inside was barely ledgable. I ordered some flowers for my significant other on May 10th, to celebrate Hispanic Mother's day. I ordered online pretty early, around 5:30am. In the special instructions, I requested that if at all possible, to avoid the time between 2-4pm, as the recipient would not be home, and the flowers were a surprise. 2pm came, and I hadn't received a call from my girlfriend, so I assumed they hadn't been delivered. I called twice before then to inquire that the special "instructions" had been noted, and both times, the staff was rather clueless, and could not tell me where the flowers were. All they could tell me is that their drivers had been out since the morning delivering, and that they had no other packages heading towards the city where my delivery was heading, so they assured me it would be delivered. I again asked if they could avoid delivering between 2-4pm (fully understanding it might not be possible), and asked what would happen if the recipient wasn't home. They then said that the delivery guy would call the recipient and/or purchaser to see what they wanted to do (leave at door vs return them to shop). But, that it was dependent on the driver. What?? Anyways, come 5pm, no call from my girlfriend. So I call the shop and ask "what's up." I said that I hadn't received a call from my GF, so I assumed the flowers hadn't been delivered. I get a smart-alec response that they (shop staff) weren't there so they can't "see" if and how happy the recipient got. I told them I didn't believe they were delivered, so they told me to ask my GF, and if they weren't there, to call back. So, surprise ruined, I asked her if something was delivered. She checked the doorstep, and sure enough, the flowers were on the ground (she hadn't seen them on her way home since we always go in through the garage). Almost if done on purpose, the flowers were delivered between 2-4pm, and not ONE call on what our preference was, as we were told the driver would do. There was no consideration for the customer or recipient. We were just another order. The flowers were "OK" in regards to what I ordered. But, again, poor communication and poor manners from shop staff (talking down to people). read more
