As you can see from my photographs, they have some really fun selection. It's really all women's clothes, and has great jewelry so it's a perfect stop for the ladies and especially for couples. The woman running the store was really nice and friendly, and I think she opened up a couple minutes early because she saw that we were interested, which I really appreciated. This is definitely a place that I can recommend stopping by if you're passing through, and if you're a local to the Garber area then I think you'll enjoy making this a regular stop.

A client of mine and some old friends decided to hit up some of the Mountain Biking by Shelter Cove…read morea few weeks back. Riding caravan style, loaded to the brim with bikes, pads, helmets, beer, meat and wood for three days, my client said we had to stop at this shop is Gaberville to get a T-shirt. Why the hell do you need a t-shirt for a weekend of riding??? As we rolled into Garberville, an epitome of a laid back town supported by California's No. 1 cash crop, we found Tommy in the Hemp Connection buying a pipe. Why the hell did you tell me a t-shirt man??? The shop is of typical size with a large selection of hemp wears and "lifestyle" items. In the case is a small selection of your typical glass and an area for more unique wood and metal appliances. The chick behind the counter totally was baked and I'm pretty sure she didn't know what day it was but hey, she was knowledgeable and polite and good Karma to her. Apparently, this was the first hemp shop in the US, not sure about that, but that's what the lady said. I'm all for the use of hemp, its durability is phenomenal but until we get some laws changes its ridiculously expensive. So next time you are on 101 north and need a shirt, or smoking accoutrement, you know you got a friend in Gaberville.

When he got home he took them off because they didn't feel right. We went back the next day to return them. They were in perfect condition. but she refused to refund him because he had PUT THEM ON. Isn't the rule of thumb you can wear new shoes around your house and return them if they aren't right? I, personally, have done this, even wore them a few steps outside on accident and no one has ever refused to refund me! He did nothing wrong, they were not damaged or dirty. Don't go there people, she's a b****

Derek Baca was our realtor, and he was fantastic!…read more His professionalism, knowledge of the area, and responsiveness was greatly appreciated. Derek's passion for Humboldt County was apparent from day 1 and that enthusiasm only strengthened our conviction that Humboldt is one of the most beautiful places one could live in. Mountains, Redwoods, Good People...what's not to love? A home purchase can be a daunting affair given that it is a serious investment. Derek made the process almost effortless and we closed at 30 days. His connections with excellent mortgage companies and insurance companies made the purchase a breeze. He surrounds himself with capable people who elevated the experience and demonstrated through their professionalism that they are as dedicated to making "Humboldt Pride" as real as he does. I would not hesitate to put Derek's name forward as a recommendation to a purchaser or seller! As a little bonus, Derek showed great diplomacy and tact in laughing at horrible jokes that I made during the closing process. He turned what could have been a stressful event into a lovely experience and my wife and I are extremely grateful for finding him. Thank you for your kind attention and best wishes in your future! Sincerely, Steven
