Soggy, mushy messes made with the French equivalent of Wonder Bread. How can a French restaurant mess up something as basic as a Croque Monsieur?? A home from home for the expat Brits in les environs. Gilles as good as a landlord as you could imagine (single incurable drawback being Southampton fan - let's put that down to poor genes..). Staff invariably great. Good real ale on tap. Curry house next door....all in the heart of the beautiful town of Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
