Before buying the 2002 VW Eurovan, Indian Peaks gave a thorough assessment that helped me decide to purchase with knowing what repairs were necessary. I purchased, they did the work, and the van runs very well. They I needed help with a few smaller items (such as high beam bulb, a switch I could not identify the use for, understanding some of the electrical ports). They fixed what I needed and were very patient and thorough in explaining things to me including providing some useful operational hints. This place is recommended as the place to bring your Eurovan. Mine is older and 1993 and it's a pop up camper that I have enjoyed for years and wanted to keep it road worthy a little longer. I made an appt and was told they would look it over and let me know what they recommended in priority order. I drove over an hour to bring my van to boulder. Next day I get a call and he is going round and round and eventually admitted he did not want to work on this year of van because it just wasn't worth it. Proceeded to tell me buy another and basically just park this or burn it. Then told me I owed him for his time so far. I really trust Jamie and the other folks at Indian Peaks. I have a 2002 Eurovan and for the last 2 years, Jamie has kept it in great shape, through various issues that she's had. They are so knowledgeable about VWs there, which can be hard to find (I've had issues with other mechanics when I've been traveling and out of town.) Pricing has been fair, and transparent up front, and Jamie is thorough, friendly, and takes the time to go through things and explain what's up. He's also really gone the extra mile for me a couple of times - putting on roof rack and box, wiring up solar and battery, giving advice and also sorting out my emissions. I have a 2012 Jetta that I use as a work car. It was due for a timing belt/water pump. I bought all the parts myself and Indian Peaks performed the work for me using the parts I brought it in. They mentioned they would have used all the same parts that I bought, so that is a plus! Indian Peaks is the only place I would trust to work on my VW. I've taken it to a certain dealer (that is close to them in Boulder), and could see right through their upcharges and BS. Recent experience adds to their credibility. As a follow up to my ongoing transmission issue, Jamie pulled my transmission and sent it into the transmission shop for 3rd rebuild. It seems like they may have got it right this time. More important to anyone considering this shop to service your car, this just adds to my opinion that they are EXCELLENT! You find out about a business when things aren't going well. My transmission is not being repaired by Indian Peaks, but they send them out to a transmission shop to be rebuilt. I called and spoke with Chris and he really took the time to help answer all my questions and get a game plan together for the car work. I LOVE this shop. I want to make them cookies and take them lemonade... weird. A of all, they do a great job. Really. B, they go above and beyond. I had to have a coolant flange fixed (they explained it all to me... whoa...) and they also took the time to grease my door hinge and fix my bumper after one too many bump ups on a curb. Bonus. I almost didn't think it was my car. 3. Fairest price in town. It's not fancy, like Gebhardt (possibly oldest leather couch known to man lives in their waiting room) and that means the overhead isn't passed on to you! These guys are so good! They know their stuff, are quick and they communicate (what a concept)! After running out of our warranty, we have been taking our A4 to Indian Peaks and Jackson and the staff are the real deal. They don't over charge and are very quick and thorough. I've even called b/c my engine light is on and Jackson has been able to problem solve over the phone to save me a trip in! What mechanic does that?! Took my '99 Jetta here after several recommendations. I was really impressed with their efficiency - they had diagnosed the problem (after my vague description of a "grinding sound") and already completed the oil change about an hour after I dropped it off. The whole fix was done by noon, less than 4 hours after I left the car there. There are clearly other issues with my car (not safety issues) that they could have tried to get me to fix, but they made no mention of them. I really appreciated that they didn't try to sell me on more than I needed (or asked for). I'll definitely be going back here, and telling my friends about this place. I've had these guys work on several of our cars in the last ten years (Audis, SAABs). They are very competent, timely, honest and friendly. Jackson and his team are really great service providers. Since 2014, I've been taking my newer model VW diesels and TSIs to Jamie and Tod for all my post-factory warranty services, and Indian Peaks is always top-notch. My two-year old 2017 model Golf Alltrack was due for it's 40k service, which is a major service milestone. Because few newer model VWs have reached this mileage, not even the dealers I called in Denver & Boulder could figure out accurately or agree about what needed to be done, much less give a reliable price for the work. Working with Kevin, Indian Peaks' Service Manager, Jamie, and one of their experienced VW mechanics, the proper & necessary service needed for my Alltrack was accomplished. It's a labor intensive job & parts are expensive, but Indian Peaks delivered with a fair price for the work. I called in asking the cost for replacing BOTH outer CV boots. Jackson told me about $200. After the work's done, he charged me about $400 and told me it's $200 each side. He never said it's $200 EACH side until he showed me the invoice. All of the other shops quoted me the total cost, and no one tells you the cost for each side b/c CV boots usually need to be replaced together. I feel that I have been tricked. read more

Indian Peaks knows their stuff AND are 25-50% less than the dealers. I went there for major repair work on my Audi and couldn't have been happier. They rebuilt my engine for less than half of what the dealer wanted and did it perfectly. They told me what needed to be replaced and what could be saved. I ended up with a different problem with my a/c when I picked up the car, but that turned out to be bad luck rather than anything they did during my engine repair. I'm not so happy with Audi right now, but very happy with Indian Peaks. read more

Indian Peaks Auto is an excellent automotive repair business. My son originally suggested that i take my car there, and I have always been happy with their service and attitude. I was driving into Denver for an appointment, and my car developed a very strange noise. I turned around, came back, and immediately drove to Indian Peaks Auto. They quickly helped me, without an appointment, and the mechanic quickly resolved the problem, which could have been a major issue had I decided not to turn around. Indian Peaks went above and beyond when I most needed them. My Audi A6 was at Costco for tires and the techs there couldn't get the old ones off right. CostCo did manage to get 2 off (breaking a bolt as they did so), then didn't know what to do. They couldn't put the two old ones or the new ones on- my car was stranded and the techs there were shrugging and blaming me for their inability to change the tires. I called Indian Peaks and their techs and mechanics spent about 20 minutes on the phone working with Costco to figure out what to do- then Indian Peaks sent their mechanic over from Boulder to Superior to give the guys there a tool they didn't have and show them how to change the tire! All of this without charging me anything. I have been going to Indian Peaks for my car care since I bought the A6 two years ago. My son-in-law, who takes his car there, told me it was a great place and he was somewhat underrated in his description. Indian Peaks went way over what one could expect any auto repair to do and they made my 3 hour ordeal a much less stressful experience. I can't thank them enough!
