Before buying the 2002 VW Eurovan, Indian Peaks gave a thorough assessment that helped me decide to purchase with knowing what repairs were necessary. I purchased, they did the work, and the van runs very well. They I needed help with a few smaller items (such as high beam bulb, a switch I could not identify the use for, understanding some of the electrical ports). They fixed what I needed and were very patient and thorough in explaining things to me including providing some useful operational hints. They are great, and I am so grateful that we have the wonderful Indian Peaks Automotive here in Boulder! read more

This place is recommended as the place to bring your Eurovan. Mine is older and 1993 and it's a pop up camper that I have enjoyed for years and wanted to keep it road worthy a little longer. I made an appt and was told they would look it over and let me know what they recommended in priority order. I drove over an hour to bring my van to boulder. Next day I get a call and he is going round and round and eventually admitted he did not want to work on this year of van because it just wasn't worth it. Proceeded to tell me buy another and basically just park this or burn it. Then told me I owed him for his time so far. Next time be upfront about charging for the look over and just tell the person don't drive up here and waste my time! Thanks for the honesty read more

I really trust Jamie and the other folks at Indian Peaks. I have a 2002 Eurovan and for the last 2 years, Jamie has kept it in great shape, through various issues that she's had. They are so knowledgeable about VWs there, which can be hard to find (I've had issues with other mechanics when I've been traveling and out of town.) Pricing has been fair, and transparent up front, and Jamie is thorough, friendly, and takes the time to go through things and explain what's up. He's also really gone the extra mile for me a couple of times - putting on roof rack and box, wiring up solar and battery, giving advice and also sorting out my emissions. I love my van, and these guys keep her roadworthy. This is really specialized service, with a depth of knowledge of VWs, especially Eurovans, that you sure don't find many places. Thank you Indian Peaks! read more

I have a 2012 Jetta that I use as a work car. It was due for a timing belt/water pump. I bought all the parts myself and Indian Peaks performed the work for me using the parts I brought it in. They mentioned they would have used all the same parts that I bought, so that is a plus! Indian Peaks is the only place I would trust to work on my VW. I've taken it to a certain dealer (that is close to them in Boulder), and could see right through their upcharges and BS. Indian Peaks is a trustworthy shop and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for my VW service needs. read more

Recent experience adds to their credibility. As a follow up to my ongoing transmission issue, Jamie pulled my transmission and sent it into the transmission shop for 3rd rebuild. It seems like they may have got it right this time. More important to anyone considering this shop to service your car, this just adds to my opinion that they are EXCELLENT! You find out about a business when things aren't going well. My transmission is not being repaired by Indian Peaks, but they send them out to a transmission shop to be rebuilt. Jamie has pulled my transmission, for the 3rd time, without complaint nor delay. Thank you! read more

Truly outstanding! The customer service from the first phone call was greatly appreciated. I called and spoke with Chris and he really took the time to help answer all my questions and get a game plan together for the car work. Both Chris and Jamie were extremely thorough in the inspection of my car and with explaining it to me afterwords. I have definitely found my mechanics here in Boulder and highly recommend bringing your car here. They were quick, reasonably priced and easy to communicate with. read more

I LOVE this shop. I want to make them cookies and take them lemonade... weird. A of all, they do a great job. Really. B, they go above and beyond. I had to have a coolant flange fixed (they explained it all to me... whoa...) and they also took the time to grease my door hinge and fix my bumper after one too many bump ups on a curb. Bonus. I almost didn't think it was my car. 3. Fairest price in town. It's not fancy, like Gebhardt (possibly oldest leather couch known to man lives in their waiting room) and that means the overhead isn't passed on to you! Jackson and the crew give great estimates and offer alternate solutions. If you have a VW, Audi or Saab and are tired of giving your first, second and third-born kiddos to the dealerships come find your new happy place at Indian Peaks Auto. read more

These guys are so good! They know their stuff, are quick and they communicate (what a concept)! After running out of our warranty, we have been taking our A4 to Indian Peaks and Jackson and the staff are the real deal. They don't over charge and are very quick and thorough. I've even called b/c my engine light is on and Jackson has been able to problem solve over the phone to save me a trip in! What mechanic does that?! We will always go here with our German-engineered cars and will recommend to others whenever I can! read more

Took my '99 Jetta here after several recommendations. I was really impressed with their efficiency - they had diagnosed the problem (after my vague description of a "grinding sound") and already completed the oil change about an hour after I dropped it off. The whole fix was done by noon, less than 4 hours after I left the car there. There are clearly other issues with my car (not safety issues) that they could have tried to get me to fix, but they made no mention of them. I really appreciated that they didn't try to sell me on more than I needed (or asked for). I'll definitely be going back here, and telling my friends about this place. The only issue I had was finding the place - but now I know its right next to the Avery tap room. Bonus! read more

We've been taking our three used VW's to Indian Peaks for years and I can tell you they are the best! I don't know much about cars so the thing I hate most about bringing my cars into have them serviced is that I never really know if the services being prescribed are necessary. It gives me great peace of mind knowing I won't be oversold at Indian Peaks. They are an honest and talented group with years of experience (yes, they are getting old). You can't go wrong taking your car to Indian Peaks. read more

My wife and I recently found a low mileage Eurovan Westy. We took it to Indian Peaks for a pre-purchase evaluation and then back again for the work to be done. Jamie spent significant time with our "new" van and we are pleased with his work. Communication was good, price seemed fair, work was completed on time and very close to the estimate. He is very knowledgeable about VWs! We are really pleased with our purchase, and even more now that's it's driving like new (or better)! Thanks, Jamie and Indian Peaks!! P.S. -- love the VW logos on the wheels ;-) read more

Love these guys! Not only are they trustworthy, professional and knowledgeable but they're friendly and kind as well. I highly recommend them for your automotive needs. You won't be dissatisfied. read more

I've had these guys work on several of our cars in the last ten years (Audis, SAABs). They are very competent, timely, honest and friendly. Jackson and his team are really great service providers. It's nice to know there are people like these guys out there!! They've fixed many a nasty problem. I've never had a 'partial fix' or 'ooops, how did THAT new problem crop up after I went to the garage for something else??' Great advisors too on whether to repair things. They've waived us off from a few items in the past and saved us money. Thanks guys! I'm giving them a five because it's been ten years of great work. read more

You can't go wrong with this shop! Jackson was thorough and helpful. My VW Jetta TDI is going strong at 80k+ miles and I plan to keep my car in top shape serviced by Indian Peaks Auto for many years to come. read more

Charged me $700 for an oil change, new spark plugs, and new brake pads.

I took my Audi there for the first time and everyone there got all of the suspension problems fixed for much cheaper than any other place in town. They were all very quick and friendly. I will definitely be taking my Audi here again! read more

I've been a regular here for decades, through multiple cars and I'll tell you they are amazingly helpful, knowledgeable, fair and will go the extra mile to help you out and get things right. Highly recommend them. read more

Since 2014, I've been taking my newer model VW diesels and TSIs to Jamie and Tod for all my post-factory warranty services, and Indian Peaks is always top-notch. My two-year old 2017 model Golf Alltrack was due for it's 40k service, which is a major service milestone. Because few newer model VWs have reached this mileage, not even the dealers I called in Denver & Boulder could figure out accurately or agree about what needed to be done, much less give a reliable price for the work. Working with Kevin, Indian Peaks' Service Manager, Jamie, and one of their experienced VW mechanics, the proper & necessary service needed for my Alltrack was accomplished. It's a labor intensive job & parts are expensive, but Indian Peaks delivered with a fair price for the work. These guys are what honest mechanics and businesses are, and I won't take my VW anywhere else. Thanks, guys! read more

Great shop and great guys. They will give you great advice and will do a great job on the work that needs to be done.

Jamie is the absolute best. I can't thank him enough. He is honest, trustworthy, and extraordinarily patient when explaining technical stuff to a person like me (ignorant when it comes to automobiles) -- just a really great guy who really knows Eurovans. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you, Jamie! read more

Jamie and the crew have been working on my VWs for over 15 years and they are honest, hard working, reliable and do their best to make repairs within your budget. All around fantastic shop! read more

I called in asking the cost for replacing BOTH outer CV boots. Jackson told me about $200. After the work's done, he charged me about $400 and told me it's $200 each side. He never said it's $200 EACH side until he showed me the invoice. All of the other shops quoted me the total cost, and no one tells you the cost for each side b/c CV boots usually need to be replaced together. I feel that I have been tricked. read more

Indian Peaks knows their stuff AND are 25-50% less than the dealers. I went there for major repair work on my Audi and couldn't have been happier. They rebuilt my engine for less than half of what the dealer wanted and did it perfectly. They told me what needed to be replaced and what could be saved. I ended up with a different problem with my a/c when I picked up the car, but that turned out to be bad luck rather than anything they did during my engine repair. I'm not so happy with Audi right now, but very happy with Indian Peaks. read more

Indian Peaks Auto is an excellent automotive repair business. My son originally suggested that i take my car there, and I have always been happy with their service and attitude. I was driving into Denver for an appointment, and my car developed a very strange noise. I turned around, came back, and immediately drove to Indian Peaks Auto. They quickly helped me, without an appointment, and the mechanic quickly resolved the problem, which could have been a major issue had I decided not to turn around. Their charge was very reasonable, and they truly treat their clients like they are family. read more

I Have worked with Jamie a number of times on keeping my Eurovan on the road, he has always helped and been very informative. These guys do great work, and have great customer service which is hard to find at auto places. read more

Indian Peaks went above and beyond when I most needed them. My Audi A6 was at Costco for tires and the techs there couldn't get the old ones off right. CostCo did manage to get 2 off (breaking a bolt as they did so), then didn't know what to do. They couldn't put the two old ones or the new ones on- my car was stranded and the techs there were shrugging and blaming me for their inability to change the tires. I called Indian Peaks and their techs and mechanics spent about 20 minutes on the phone working with Costco to figure out what to do- then Indian Peaks sent their mechanic over from Boulder to Superior to give the guys there a tool they didn't have and show them how to change the tire! All of this without charging me anything. I have been going to Indian Peaks for my car care since I bought the A6 two years ago. My son-in-law, who takes his car there, told me it was a great place and he was somewhat underrated in his description. Indian Peaks went way over what one could expect any auto repair to do and they made my 3 hour ordeal a much less stressful experience. I can't thank them enough!
