Joining friends for a night at the Charles Cryer Theatre, we were keen on finding something to eat before the performance started.
Our friends had arrived just before us and spotted Indian Oasis, which is just across the road from the theatre, so ideally placed.
Even better, after 6.30 it was fine to park outside too.
The attentive staff greeted us and we joined our friends at a table near the window, quickly offered poppadoms and menus as they knew we were short on time.
The main dishes were swiftly brought to the table - my Murgh Makhani was splendid.
Lightly spiced, succulent chicken, fragrant rice, it was a lovely dish.
The other dishes also looked very tasty, disappearing off the plates in no time at all.
When the bill came, it was less than £15 per person, so good value for money as well.
As there's no alcohol available, if you want a beer, you'll need to bring your own.
A very good local curry house. read more
