Mehfil took over the premises of a Taringa institution, Sun Fay Chinese. But after having my first meal at Mehfil I was delighted they did. Simply the best curry I've eaten. Their Tandoori Chicken, amazing. Other stand outs for me are the Fish Malabar, it's very difficult to master a fish curry without the fish dissolving into an unrecognisable slop, but they manage it wonderfully. Chicken or Lamb Methi Malai is delightfully fragrant dish finished with fresh coriander. Aloo Palak an Eggplant & Potato dish may sound dull but it's far from it, one of my favourites in fact. Every dish is offered in Mild, Medium, Hot & extra Hot, my choice every time but not suit every palate, they're not joking about the 'extra'. These are just a few picks from a bigger menu.
