Indian Corner just opened in our neighborhood. We ordered takeaway. Indian food in Geneva often leaves a lot to be desired, and frankly, our expectations were low. But wow, were we surprised by how delicious everything was: Chicken Korma, Shrimp Masala, Palak Paneer, Daal, Baingun Bharta, assorted naans, and rice. The food was exquisitely spiced, fresh, and hot. The service over the phone was friendly and efficient (they speak English and French). The food was ready in 15 minutes as promised, and they even gave us a bottle of wine as a gift to go with our meal. We LOVE Indian food, and I was so pleased to discover this new restaurant nearby. The extensive menu has all the "Indian classics" Westerners know and adore, without skimping on the spice or depth of flavor. It's comfort-food, to be sure, rather than trendy gourmet fare. There are plenty of vegetarian and even vegan options. I really hope word gets out about how good Indian Corner is -- without making it too difficult for us to get another takeaway order so quickly. I want to keep sampling items from the menu.
If you're comfortable eating in a restaurant (I'm writing this in June 2020 after the first Covid confinement has lifted), please go and treat yourself to their hospitality. If you're skittish like me, order takeaway instead -- or delivery. You can have Indian Corner brought to your door via both Smood.ch and UberEats. read more
