Six months later, and we're still raving about this place.... and bringing friends every chance we get! From the moment you walk through the door, you're treated like family. The food is consistently amazing. I absolutely love their Vindaloo, but the last two visits I ordered the Kadai Chicken, substituted shrimp, and asked for it extra spicy... perfection! What truly sets this restaurant apart is the people. Every staff member goes out of their way to make you feel welcome without ever being intrusive. Tonight, the chef even came out to meet us, which made an already wonderful experience even more special. We are so grateful to have this gem right around the corner. She recommended Malabar Koshi Curry and the Chicken Chetrinadu. Both were excellent. The flavor is a bomb in your mouth. We also order the garlic naan and the regular naan. The Fish Nirvana was exceptional...red snapper cooked to perfection, tender and delicate, swimming in a fragrant coconut milk sauce layered with ginger and curry leaves. It had depth without being heavy, the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after the meal ends. The Mango Chicken brought a completely different but equally impressive flavor profile...creamy, slightly sweet from the mango, with that comforting richness from the coconut. Paired with wood-fired garlic naan, which came out warm with just the right amount of char and chew, it was hard to stop going back for another bite. And then there was the peshwari naan to finish--stuffed with dried fruits and nuts, lightly sweet, and honestly the perfect ending. It was good, not great. We ordered a korma and a standard curry. Both could have been hotter for my liking and I thought the spice was a little bit lacking. Amazing! Ayush was a wonderful an attentive server. Even though the restaurant was packed on a Saturday evening, we were greeted quickly and food arrived about ten minutes after ordering. Paneer tikka (spicy) was wonderful, as was the aloo gobi. In fact, we started in on it so quickly that I didn't get a photo. Onion chutney is always my favorite part of the meal, and theirs doesn't disappoint. Garlic naan was hot and a little crispy. Beautiful interior. Clean restrooms. We chose this restaurant for a special birthday dinner based on rave reviews. I can see why! Very nicely decorated restaurant from the wall art, lighting, tableware, and even the bathrooms! Our server was wonderful-she had to juggle a table full of older people, some of whom could not hear well, and she handled everything with skill and patience. Her recommendations for food based on people's likes were spot on also. We had Butter chicken, lamb korma, lamb chops, chicken curry, and chicken saag. I was craving Indian food and saw that this place was fairly new and had great reviews. My friend and I came to have lunch here. The restaurant was absolutely gorgeous and it wasn't too busy. Our server was very kind and gave great recommendations. We started off with the vegetable samosas and pani puri. Both were very good and full of flavor. We had a great dining experience here. The food was flavorful and well balanced, not overly heavy or greasy. Our favorites were the Tandoor Lamb Chops and the Tandoori Wings -- both were incredibly well marinated, tender, and juicy. The lamb chops were soft and full of flavor without being tough at all, and the wings were perfectly cooked with the spices fully infused into the meat. You can really tell care is taken in the marination and cooking process. We'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes. read more

We love us some Indian Breeze. We've eaten a lot of Indian food over the years and are used to the options in larger cities, so we weren't expecting to find something at this level locally, but this place really delivered. The chicken korma was excellent, with very good quality chicken and a rich, well-balanced sauce. We added peas and cauliflower, which gave the dish great texture and extra flavor. The saag paneer was also very good, with a nice consistency and fresh taste that held up well compared to some of the better Indian restaurants we've been to. The naan was well made, and the coconut rice was especially good and paired nicely with the dishes we ordered. We also tried the lemon rice once, and while the quality was there, the flavor was a bit strong for the particular dishes we had that day. With the right combination, though, I could see it being excellent. We also ordered the okra, which was cooked well. The okra itself seemed a little out of season and slightly tough, but the preparation was good enough that you could tell it would be outstanding when the vegetable is at its peak. Overall, this is one of the better Indian restaurants we've found in this area, and easily stands up to many places we've eaten in much bigger cities. Definitely worth trying if you enjoy well-prepared, authentic Indian food. read more

Upon entering this restaurant you are met with the sweet aroma of Indian spices. It was delightful to say the least. We were paired with a wonderful, terrific, friendly and sweet server named Jennifer. She truly made the entire experience that much better! By far the friendliest server we've had at any dining establishment in the Cape. Since it was our first time trying Indian food we we were curious to try many different things so we came with a voracious appetite. Even so, we succumbed to having to doggy bag our leftovers.as appetizers we ordered the Pani Puri, veg Samosas and Onion Baji. We hit the trifecta with these for sure. A real winning combination. For entrees we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Breeze mix grill. Both were amazing to put it mildly. For dessert we opted for the Rasmalai ( Creamy milk balls is sweet milk cream) which was texturally interesting and quite pleasing to the palette. My wife and I went to Cape Coral's newest restaurant the other night, Indian Breeze. A fantastic addition to the downtown food scene and, while it's not readily apparent, created by the chef/owners of our favorite Fort Myers restaurant, India's Grill. Everything and everyone, from the hostess, our server Anto, the food runner and the owners could not have been more welcoming, thoughtful or gracious. In addition the interior design is beautiful, modern, sleek and is easily one of the best looking restaurants in the area. We started with Lasuni Gobi, fried cauliflower florets served in a delicious and moderately spicy garlic sauce. The portion was large enough for two to three and was served piping hot and the flavor was outstanding. For our entrees we ordered Tandoori Shrimp and Lamb Rogan Josh (both at their hottest spice level) plus Lamb Kheema naan (naan stuffed with ground lamb). If you haven't had it the lamb stuffing takes humble naan to a whole new flavor level! All were absolutely delicious, served in a timely manner, not too fast or too slow, and the portion sizes were generous. The shrimp were beautifully charred but remained so tender and the lamb was cooked to perfection. The spice level was very hot but to make sure we were really satisfied the chef/owner, unexpectedly, sent out a bowl of his family recipe Phaal. That did the trick! Obviously we totally enjoyed our experience and while we didn't try the vegetarian/vegan options there are plenty to choose from and we cannot wait for our next visit to Indian Breeze. Newer Indian restaurant on the main strip of Cape Coral, just over the bridge from Ft.Myers. We get tired of the super casual places with loud music so were really pleased to walk into Indian Breeze. Decor is nice and inviting. Indian music is playing at reasonable levels. Lighting was nice for dinner. Staff was very attentive and there was energy in the restaurant without the party people feel. Sat in a booth, which rocked in a wonky way so maybe that just needs a tweak, but they did a really nice job and it feels like a real restaurant rather than a bar that serves food. They do offer beer/wine, no cocktails, which was fine with us. They also have a mango yogurt non-alcoholic drink ,which was good. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive. It seems she hadn't tried a lot of the dishes (would b great to offer to staff) but one of the owners/manager(?) quickly came over to answer questions. They offer LOTS of gluten-free as well as vegetarian options, even one of the samosas and onion baji is gf. The onion baji was good - we've had it before where it's more like onion straws. This one was more small fried onion pancakes or balls. Think they use a chickpea flour as batter. Ooh - their sauces r awesome!!!! Their tamarind sauce is probably the best we've had. The chicken garlic kabob appetizer is really plentiful, much bigger than I would have thought. I imagined 1 small skewer of tandoori chicken chunks, but it was quite a plate full of chicken mixed with some peppers and onions, almost the size of an entree. R table had mixed reviews on it - 1 liked it the most out of all the food, 1 liked it the least and 1 didn't care either way- lol. It was actually ground chicken (white & dark) almost made into patties like you would a turkey burger and then seasoned, cooked, cut up. The chicken tikka masala came in 3 heat options - the mild wasn't flavorful enough for us and the medium was perfect heat- not too hot at all. If you like things super spicy, might try going max heat. The sauce has a sweetness to it and they bring a basmati white rice with it. The chicken chunks in the tikka masala were fantastic. Wonderfully cooked white meat. We didn't need a reservation, but this place definitely has a lot of people who are stopping in to eat so if planning to go on a weekend, would probably reserve a table. I have never waited so long to write a review for a restaurant, especially local. However, after finding myself eating here 4 different times in a 2 month period, bringing different people, it was time! The old Subway is unrecognizable as its new owners transformed it into Indian Breeze; a lovely and delicious Indian escape. Open and spacious with great ventilation! If I could recommend starting with ANY of the following starters, you will not be disappointed: Onion Baji (crispy & the side sauces are great), Samosa Chaat (my favorite appetizer and done extremely well), Lasuni Goni (the cauliflower will disappear fast)! Main entrees are definitely shareable so, order a couple and bring extra home! I've tried the Chicken Tiki Masala and the sauce is wonderfully sweet and spicy; Chicken Malabar is EXCEPTIONAL and by far a poultry favorite; Chicken Bindi Masala creamy and delightful! Vegetable Korma is a must, the okra is perfect in this beautiful sauce. If you're looking for tender lamb; you won't go wrong with the Lamb Rogan Josh or Lamb Malabar. Don't forget naan; plain or garlic (best I've had around). And if you're looking for a real carb treat, try their Kerala Paratha; delicious pull apart bread thats fun for all to try! To end the evening might I suggest a lovely Masala Chi; it's delicious and just the right temperature. Every server, Shibu, is always kind, friendly and extremely accurate and never overly hovering. I just finished dining at Indian Breeze and it was a fantastic experience overall. TLDR Food 4* Service 5* Aesthetics 5* Presentation 5* Price 4* I was pleasantly surprised by the entertaining which felt very fine dining as well as the seating area. It's obviously a new restaurant and care was taken with the design and decor. I was promptly seated and able to taste the wine before choosing. Always a plus. I ordered the onion baji, oloo GOBI and dal tadka. All were delicious and medium spiced as requested. They also have papad for the GF folks who can't have naan. All my menu questions as a GF vegan were answered with a smile and the options were plentiful. Atos (sp) came to my table many time to ensure I was enjoying my meal and asked if I needed anything additional. He and my server were very attentive. Price was reasonable but on the pricier side. But for the service and ethics very reasonable. Absolutely recommend a trip to Indian Breeze if you are a fan of Indian food and in the Cape Coral area.
