I love, LOVE a tandoori plate. It's always my standard at any Indian place. The dry roasted meats and seafood along with a crisp little green salad and a bit of rice... perfect. Imagine my utter dismay when my 19€ mixed grill came smothered in a heavy cream sauce. The plate had two small shrimp, two pieces of chicken, two slices of kabob and a small wedge of something resembling a sausage (I don't know, maybe merguez? Hard to say, with the gallon of sauce poured over everything). Worse yet, the bog standard cream sauce was identical to the one drowning my husband's chicken curry dish, alleged to have been roasted with pistachios. I don't even know what it was supposed to taste like; it was creamy, yet flecked with red oil and devoid of any typical Indian spices. The saffron rice was fine, I suppose, although the cheese naan had cream cheese instead of paneer (couldn't have predicted that one!). Service was slow and uninterested, never once checking on us to see if we needed another drink, more food, etc. At least she brought the bill quickly, so while I had to pay 59€ for a crummy dinner, it was quickly put in the rearview mirror.
