Loved our experience! We didn't do Drivers Ed here, but we had our daughter take the driving test and it was a quick and easy experience! We thought we had an appointment at the Draper Drivers License Division today and when we got there; we realized we scheduled the wrong appointment. The earliest appointment they had at the DLD was October 3...which is way to long to wait to get her license. So, we called a few different Driving Schools and we were able to get an appointment with these guys the same day! The cost was $40 to take the test and it was about 10-15 minutes for the test. She passed (which isn't why I'm giving a good review) and it was a quick and easy experience! read more

Horrible time wasting experience. I found Independent Driving School via a google search, I told the woman I spoke to that I wanted to sign up my daughter, she said she'd call me that night to schedule her 3 driving classes. My daughter and I both cancelled our plans so we could both be present to make sure the times would work. We waited all night, no call. The following night she called me back, we scheduled all appointments, I gave her all my information, and then she said it was time to receive payment, she then quoted me $425, $75 more then what their website said and what was discussed the night before. When I reminded her of that, she said they raised their prices a month ago and that the website has been updated, conveniently that day, now I know why she didn't call when she said she would. I told her I still had the $350 price up on my computer and would they please honor the price I was quoted. She said they would not, I said that this was incredibly poor business and she said that this is how the owner told her to sign people up, I wasn't permitted to speak to the owner. Dishonest, time wasting, false advertising, and mostly just disappointing that this is how people do business. I hope our poor experience can help someone else. For us, it's back to the drawing board. read more

These guys just want your money. My wife had a schedule class today and no one arrived. She called them, left multiple voicemails because no one answers their phone ever. Finally someone answered and told her that yes she was scheduled but someone removed her from the schedule and she doesn't know why and would callback after checking. Get a callback to know that they had a flat tire and hence it got cancelled. There is a difference between flat tire and being removed from the schedule. Even if they had a flat tire, they did not have the courtesy to call and inform knowing that they are never available to answer your calls when you call. YOU ARE JUST WASTING YIUR MONEY WITH THESE GUYS. I PROMISE!!! read more

Hard to see where it is because they have no building. Just cars in a parking lot. Instructors are friendly and helpful, they make the 12 required hours sail on by. Great experience overall. read more

Horrible service! Canceled classes twice because it was not convenient for them, and failed to notify me of it! Once was notified for a canceled class by email, but was not called, and they were not responsive to my call to ask about rescheduling their cancellation. but when my brother misplaced his permit and was unable to make it to class due to the law, charged a $50 fee and would not accept his reasons! Refused to work with switching with another student, rescheduled time that would allow him to get it replaced, or any other type of resolution. Horrible horrible service, and bad employees who are insensitive to real people and real schedules. read more

I just saw a car from this business (name plastered on the side) driving in an aggressive manner. I could only see one person in the car so I assume it was a driving instructor. Among the things he was doing was attempting to prevent cars from merging in front of him on a I-15 on-ramp, he cut off at least 1 vehicle that I saw when he changed lanes, then exceeded the posted speed limit pulling up beside another vehicle and slowed down enough to stare down the other driver. He then accelerated again beyond the posted speed limit and exited the Interstate. As I was watching this I was thinking, 'Is this the business I want teaching my kids to drive?' I realize that a lot of people in Utah drive like this, but this individual was driving a company car and therefore representing the company whether he was actually working or not. Its the classic 'do as I say and not as i do'. Teaching students to drive safely ( I would hope), then getting behind the wheel and throwing those teachings out the window. Not a good way to advertise your company. read more
