We went to the New Orleans Saints Mini Training Camp session today and it was WONDERFUL. Today the…read moreSaints wrote the book on Southern hospitality. The employees couldn't do enough for us to make sure we had a great time. Started with an ADA shuttle bus bringing us from the car to the entrance. Then we were ushered to a great big tented platform with a misting fan to keep us cool. The concession stand was open selling burgers, breakfast sandwiches and drinks from water, coke, power aid to beer and the prices were reasonable. The souvenirs and clothing were priced reasonable too. There was a cooling station for those who needed it. Not everyone was able to sit under the tent (it was ADA only) but there were plenty of bleachers. The team worked hard and we got to see what talent we will have this season. After practice (about 3 hours) the players were nice enough to come over and take selfies and sign autographs. My grandson got about 10 autographs on his Saints autograph ball he bought today and was very excited. Everyone there seemed to have a great time. Gail Benson was even there and she rode by in her golf cart to wave at the fans & let us know she was glad we came. All of this and did I mention that admission was FREE!! What a great way to give back to the fans. I just have to mention again that it was southern hospitality at its finest today and a day my grandson (or myself & husband) will never forget. There are other days scheduled like today. Google it and find out the dates and how to get your tickets. Tickets are limited so be ready to act fast. Hope you get to go and have as much fun as we did. Who Dat Say They Gonna Beat Them Saints? Who Dat!!!

I would come in the mornings and afternoons after work and respected any event that was going on and would get verbal approval from coaches. Around a week ago during their youth football camps, I was there at 4:30 PM, around one and a half hour before their camp was about to start. The manager and staff told me I couldn't workout even though I only needed the field for 15-20 minutes. I asked the coaches and they encouraged me to use the turf field. As I was setting up, the manager, Donnie Laing, came up to me and started showing aggressive behavior towards me. I kept it extremely respectful since I am the customer and only using their equipment and don't own anything there. I tried to reason with him and explain that no one but him had any issues with what was going on but he wouldn't budge. After that interaction, I decided that was the last straw and would stop spending my money at this business. As I was heading out to cancel my membership, I tried to talk to him and apologize for what I did and going behind his back. But once again he wouldn't buy it and went on to call me "useless and retarded". I do not have a disability, but I was extremely shocked to hear those words come out of a manager to a customer in a professional setting. Especially with kids entering the building. Would you want your child to hear those words come out of a manager you're giving your hard-earned money to? This isn't the first time I have had an issue with Donnie Laing. He, and the rest of the staff and managers only care about the name and image of the athletes and people who come into the building, not the people who spend their well-earned money to use the equipment and are serious about training. It is the unfortunate truth but I just want everyone to be aware of who they are doing business with and know what the type of people these managers are.

Let me start by saying this is a great looking facility. However don't judge this book by its…read morecover. I attended a volleyball tournament on 2/24/18 which was way to big for this place to handle. Parking was very limited due to it being over crowded. Cost to get in was $5 which is the avarage price for volleyball tournament. However the air condition was not working for most of the day. With hundreds of people in this place and the outside temperature in the low 80's, it was VERY HOT. They had no portable fan blowing nor would they open any of the emergency doors to get some kind of air flow. I guess they wouldn't open the emergency doors because they wanted to make sure they collect that $5 entry fee without anyone sneaking in from another opened door. Now that it's so hot in here I go to buy something to drink. I order a fountain Diet Coke and it was flat. I tell the clerk that it's flat and she says they can replace it with a can Diet Coke. Ok great I'll do that then. I get back to my seat and someone tells me don't drink that can soda because it's out of date. The date on that can soda was 4/10/17. Keep in mind today is 2/24/18. Finally the air condition comes on around 5:00 or 6:00 p.m. No options to refund anyone of their $5 entry fee due to not having any air condition on a hot 80+ degree day. Money the root of all evil. What greedy people here. Hope we're not playing here next year!!!!
