Lots of spoons If you have a party, or any sort of trash, throw it away. The ground around the play park is gravel, little tiny rocks, and not enough if you're going to cover the ground, so it's mostly dirt. The equipment is faded, kinda dirty, but still playable. It's a park, what do you expect. There's openings on the sides of the fence, so you have to keep an eye on your child at all times just because of that. No pets. There's a book box which is pretty nifty for hiding painted rocks! There's a splash pad which is closed on mondays but oh well! But still run for the kids. There's a sand volley ball court, and a soft swinging area.

I've brought my girlfriend…read morehere to do yoga on a beautiful sunny day, I've fed the kooky geese and ducks that are cohabiting the pond, and I will usually come here for a quick 30 minute walk or run. I love north park because of the fact that there is a ton of space for activities like soccer/football/frisbee/running/yoga you name it. There is also tons of parking every time I've come to visit. I believe north park has the capabilities to be a great stop in Denham Springs for a majority of your outdoor adventures.

We were unaware that the park closes at 10pm and a worker came up to the window and started yelling at us. He was very rude even though we were apologizing and being very polite. He also threatened to call the sheriff on us if we didnt leave within 5 minutes. We're teenage girls btw. Also a swing is broken and most of them are too low to the ground and the restrooms are so disgusting. There is an ant pile in one of the stalls! Worst park i've ever been to.

It's a peaceful place with lots of trees and open spaces. There's a tennis court, covered picnic table area, water fountain, benches, two sandy playgrounds, and a walking loop. No restrooms. Recently they built a nice scenic pathway that takes you through the trees to Farr Park, and from there it's a straight shot to the levee- another nice walk and good place to see the sunset. Park is open during daylight hours.

Basically this is one of the most ignored parks in the BREC system. There have been no park upgrades in years despite the fact that park utilization has increased 10-fold. That being said, it's a wonderful multicultural experience given the demographics of the area. BREC needs to pay more attention to this place and perhaps fence off an area for dogs as the nearest dog park is 5 miles or more away depending on where you live. There's a large open space for playing fetch, but people who let their dog's off leash risk a fine. Also, even without a bark park, there is no provision for bags to pick up dog poop when you walk your dog on leash so bring your own doggie bags. Wonderful place, too bad BREC is so busy concentrating on water parks and parks in the South East part of the Parish. A full size basketball court and more equipment for children would also be nice.
