We usually bring our dog to the Rasing Cane's dog park off of Millerville because it's closer to home. There are always plenty of dogs to play with and the mini swimming pools. But I have to say I'm so glad I made the drive to Burbank Park because they have ponds for your dog to swim in. After a swim, they have a dog wash station so you can rinse them off from being in the pond! The park is absolutely huge and just amazing. They have an agility court for you to test your doggos skills. This place is my new favorite. I will be going from now on! But most important my dog loved it and he took a long nap when we got home!

A huge beautiful tree located at the back of the park. There is a bench to sit at

Yes I like this place. It was clean and well maintained. There is a ton of room to walk your dog or to let it run free inside the fenced in area. It is true that some people don't pay attention to what their dog is doing which is very annoying. I personally loved walking around the edge of the park. It was very peaceful. I loved this huge tree.

Ask the Community - Burbank Dog Park

Is it optional for the dogs to swim? What I'm asking is there a fenced area without a swimming pond?

Yes. There are a few areas fenced off from the pool. One is even dedicated to small dogs. We took our puppy there soon after rescuing her!

Although the dog wasn't super socialized, the family was very friendly and It was sweet to see how excited the kids were about our dog and that her harness looked like a little dress. The kids and the dogs all ended up playing and having a really nice time. I'm not from this area so I found the multiple signs about children being left unattended a little unsettling and not really sure what that was all about. The park itself is a great size, with lots of grass for the dogs and a cemented area with benches and shade for the dog owners. There are some hoops for the dogs to jump through and plenty of space to run. This is a park we would definitely frequent if we lived in the area. Just next to the park is a reservoir where you can walk and I saw some ducks and geese and wanted to walk over but there are signs that say no dogs are allowed so we headed back to the car instead. This park has pretty much everything I look for in a dog park and if you need to let your pup out or you live in the area and want some place to help socialize your dogs, this is a good option.

Every time I've gone, there has only been one or two other friends so I can't say it's ever too crowded. Only downside is the small parking lot and people not being courteous enough to clean after their pups.

What no reviews? Let's fix that…read more I've spent many hot afternoons watching my daughter practice during soccer season and most weekends of her high school career lugging chairs to the field and cheering her on. The fields are massive here and a bit hard to find your assigned field of its it's not on the outlying area, but the grass is always freshly cut, the parking areas are nice and plentiful and there are restrooms and vending machines all throughout this place. Some other great things about this park. There's a very nice stocked lake for you to fish in. There's a separate dog park for you dog lovers and an actual pond they can jump in to cool off. It's close to an Albertsons grocery store, a few fast food places and a brand new WalMart.

It's blistering hot there and there's all of 3 pavilions in the whole complex and very few trees. Also, maybe some more water stations and bottle filling stations? Again...hotter than the sun. The road is also narrow and not pedestrian friendly, which is unfortunate since the loupe is almost exactly 1.5 miles. I have used it for running but am always dodging cars because people are in a hurry and there's not enough space. I feel like BREC missed an opportunity there. Bathrooms are what you'd expect at a park...kinda dirty and lots of spiders but there's *almost* always soap and toilet paper. I also agree with the other reviewer, the traffic gets insane when there's games/practices at the same time. Lines of cars wrapping around the park. There's so much space and opportunities to make it an excellent park other than just for playing soccer! A playground maybe? There's a dog park in the back that's actually pretty great, but I haven't been in awhile. Even has a pond for training hunting dogs!

I emailed to ask when it would be fixed and did not receive an answer. They also haven't put tennis balls in the park since COVID, and when I asked about that, they used COVID as their excuse in 2024. So I've been bringing my tennis balls. And last, they replaced the shower nozzles and hoses with very short hoses and nozzles that spray water EVERYWHERE. Not sure who thought of these "upgrades," but they suck. Just really silly inconveniences when you're already paying per year to use the park.

After a rain shower, he loves to walk in the the shallow puddles under the majestic old oaks near the main entrance. I love the walking path lined with crate myrtles that circles the park, as it is trips to the City Bark that help me get my steps in. We appreciate that it is open late and well lit, as it allows us to go to park later in the evening when temperatures are lower. Registering was easy and I happily will pay the low yearly fee for this great amenity. My only complaint would be that the entrance needs more regular maintenance, as you can imagine dogs can get it dirty quickly and odors linger. I would like to see some volunteer opportunities on the weekends to help make it the best stop for dogs and their human companions!
