It's true, as another reviewer mentioned, that you might come in and then have to make extra appointments. I think that depends on the staff available and what other patients need, and perhaps if one's appointment is on a weekend (I was there this time on Saturday and will come back for my fillings in 2 weeks). I went in last year, however, and needed molar extraction, which they did on the spot -- painlessly, I might add! They also have a great credit partner in Cherry Credit, so that was a real plus as well. Along those same lines of finances, I find them to be the most non-pushy dental office I've been to, offering the various options of treatment, and then respecting the patient's decisions on that. All in all, all staff---front desk to hygienists to the DDS staff--are exceptional, and I never dread going to the dentist now. I already left a review on Google a year or so ago, so thought I'd leave one on Yelp this time after seeing them for my biannual cleaning. PS: A bright and airy office and good tunes too!

No problem, I understand things happen but not a great intro to my next appointment that was *supposed* to be this week. I call back 4 hours later, after receiving 2 emails that my appointment was rescheduled for different times, and call to confirm my new appointment time I'd been assigned via email. I was told the emails were to get me to call them back to reschedule and were not real appointment times? There are no appointments until March of 2026 but I can get on the waiting list. Not sure why I have an appointment to be on a waiting list with and unknown of when I can get my cleaning and exam. March 2026 would have put me at 15 months from my previous cleaning. It felt so ackward! Then - at the end of the teeth cleaning, this was the only dentist appoitnment I have ever been to EVER where a dentist did not come in and talk to me about my teeth, if I had any cavities, any concerns I had etc. I actually had to ask the dental hygenist to confirm that I didn't have any cavities. Finally - at the end of the appoitnment the dental hygentist was so obviously judgmental towards me when talking with the front desk worker about how I had private insurance...there's no need for that and really - what's it to her? I was referred to Boulder Total Dentistry by a friend. My first visit was fine. They did a basic exam and took some X-rays. The exam indicated that I had several minor problems: A cavity, and a loose implant. I returned to the office to fix the cavity and the loose implant. Dr. Hinsberger managed to destroy the tooth with the cavity. She removed enough tooth material that she decided that she could not fix the cavity, and I would need to extract the remaining tooth and have an implant and crown built. ($6500 out of my pocket) The tooth that she destroyed was not causing any problems. At no time did she indicate that fixing the cavity might cause the loss of the tooth. She did not address the loose implant. I left their office that day, and have not returned. I went to my wife's dentist, who cleaned up the damaged tooth and was able to build a crown for that tooth. Conclusion: If you go to Boulder Total Dentistry, avoid Dr. Hinsberger. Rog Smith
