You had no choice but to return and completely rebuild the entire deck. It should not have taken 9 months to rectify the poor workmanship, and the blame cannot be solely placed on Lowes. Your installers saw the wood was subpar but still installed it. If it had been done correctly the first time you would not have received the 1-star review. I stand by my initial review. Let us just end this here as I have more pictures and more to say, like being offered gift cards to remove and or update my review. FYI, I'm still waiting on the gift card per Jamie.

Dreamline Infinity Z bathtub door for a guest bathroom

I was very pleased with my experience with Travis. From estimate to installation, he with Lowe's made the process quite facilitated. I had a bathtub door installed where a shower curtain used for a guest bathroom, and Travis came out, was prompt, kind, and professional, and recommend a specific door and measurements that would be best for my specific set-up. I so great appreciate him and Incredible Installations for helping me get this project done. I was very pleased with the experience and process.

I had Lowes install an exterior door that was not installed properly by their vendor, Incredible Installation. The installer installed the door on top of the floor tiles instead of on the subfloor as the original door was so the threshold of the new door is about 2 inches higher than the floor instead of being flush like the old door threshold used to be. I contacted Lowes and advised them that I felt the door was not installed properly and subsequently sent the same installer from Incredible Installation back out to take a look. Ray came back out and we discussed my concerns and how it could be fixed. Ray told me that the company would come back and lower the door so the threshold would be sat lower but I would have to cut the floor tiles so that it could sit flat on the subfloor. I explained to Ray that I am a disabled veteran and the high threshold on the door was a trip hazard for me and I had already tripped on it and nearly fell on my face because of it. Ray took pictures and before he left again stated that they would come back and fix it. Ray advised that Lowes would have to open some sort of ticket before they would be able to come back and take care of it. My wife received a call from Lowes advising that Incredible Installations would be contacting us in a few days to schedule the fix. A week went by and no one from Lowes or Incredible Installations had called so my wife called Lowes and was told that they were not going to fix the door as they stated. Lowes and Incredible Installations are now saying that there was nothing wrong with the door install and that we were just asking for the door to be fixed because it was our personal preference and we have to pay $400 for them to come back and fix mistake. Lowes had no intention of calling me to let me know. When Ray installed the door he had to cut the top of the door opening about 2 inches to fit the new door into the opening when he should have cut the 2 inches from the floor it would have fit. The installer did not reveal that he couldn't cut the floor until after he came back. If he had told me this during the install I would have cut the floor myself which is what was agreed upon when he said they would come back to fix it. I called a Lowe ECSR who contacted the installer who called my wife back a short time later advising that they weren't going to fix the door and it would cost us $400 for the vendor to come back. Up until this incident I have not had any issues with any of my other projects with Lowes. I'm amazed that they won't stand behind fixing the poor workmanship of one of their vendors and charging the customer for the installers mistake.

My hope was that, in doing so, I would work with a company that placed more value on customer relationships and quality of work. Unfortunately that did NOT prove to be the case. We partnered with the company to have new double entrance doors installed in our home. We had to wait about 8 weeks for delivery of the product and then a couple of weeks for installation. All of this was communicated to us, so there was no real issue other than a bit of a wait for the installation. Now--for the issue-- The installers had to place narrow trim boards on the inside and outside to cover a small gap in the frame. After about 4 weeks the exterior trim boards began warping and separating from the frame. I fixed the bottom portion myself but a few weeks ago both top sections of the trim warped badly and separated leaving a very unsightly appearance. I contacted Gwinnett Window and Door to explain the issue and send pictures. I was told that this was due to us painting the exterior door--something I told the selling representative that we were doing back when we purchased the doors. The company stated that they would come out to repair the issue--for an additional charge. After spending over $4,000 on the door and install this was very disappointing. I declined this very poor resolution offer and made the repairs myself for about $20 worth of materials. I am disappointed that this company places such low value on customer satisfaction. I took the time to detail this review in hopes that others will have this awareness before making their spending choice. Gwinnett Window and Door you could and SHOULD do better.

Charlie showed us different options of things that we could do to save money without changing the footprint. Eugeniy kept us informed on the timeline as the windows were being made and then as the installation crew were installing. The installation crew were very tidy, professional and had all 32 windows installed in 2 days. Eugeniy stopped by to inspect the work. Completely seamless for us and by far our easiest home renovation project. I highly recommend Universal Windows Direct Of Atlanta.

The sales person Charlie met with me and took the appropriate measurements, was respectful of my time, and gave us plenty of options. Their professionalism was what sold me on the company--they were not trying to upsell me, or overcharge like other companies would (one other company gave us a 3 hour sales pitch and quoted 20k for the same six windows). Universal gave us a reasonable price and didn't take up unnecessary time. Eugeniy personally ordered the windows to the custom measurements, and when they arrived he brought one to store so that it wouldn't be damaged in transit. He had recommended that we install a new window in our exit door and it was the right call--that entire area looks much improved! The installers were prompt, professional, and the end result was clean, precise, and expertly done. Eugeniy himself came to check the quality of their work and made sure it was done to his standard before receiving the final payment. It is difficult to know who to trust with these projects--if you're looking for knowledgeable professionals who will meet your budgetary and time constraints, with great communication this is the company you want to go with. We will definitely be back in the future for other windows in our home!

Atlanta Area Window & Door - gap between the sweep and the floor. this was later fixed after a second contractor intervened.

Atlanta Area Window & Door

I have used Atlanta Area Window & Door 2 times for front door installation at two different…read moreproperty locations. The first time, I'd give them a 5 star. But the second time, I'm giving them a 3 star. I don't have much to say about the first experience since I thought that they did a great job that I hired them for the second job. However, the second job was riddled with issues and heartache. I shopped for quotes from different companies and I awarded the job to Mark and his team. The reason I award the job to Mark is not due to the price but due to the thoughtful and experienced comments he made and when he addressed my questions. I thought that this guy was someone who care and was not in the job just for the money. However, Mark is not the one that actually does the door install. He had a different team install the door and that would be fine as long as there were no issues with the door install. But there were issues. The installation team are great people - someone you could grab a beer with and chat. But they lacked the problem solving and attitude of someone who owned their own business. Issue #1: After the door was installed, the door did not close well. I had to push extra hard to get the door to shut. I asked the installer if there is something he can do to fix that. He did what he can on installation day (took an entire day to install and they worked past 5pm) and had to come back on a different day. On the second day, they made some changes to the door sweep. This made the door close better. However, this created an issue with a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. While walking outside at night, I saw streams of light shining from under the front door. This allowed insects to enter my house. I brought this to Mark's attention and asked him not to send the same crew to fix the issue because the installation guy had already told me that he did everything he can. Mark was able to ask another guy to come and fix the issue. The new guy showed up and fixed the issue within 30 mins or less. This guy owned his own door installation business and does the door install himself. During the whole ordeal, Mark showed up on day one to supervise and ensure everything was on track but he did not attempt to remedy the work himself. Issue #2: I paid the original door installers $xx (i forgot the amount) in cash to install a nest doorbell. The doorbell was installed but did not work because a transformer was required and they do not install transformers. I had to pay a separate guy to install the transformer. In hindsight, I would should have paid a separate guy to install doorbell who can also install a transformer if needed. This was probably my fault but I felt like I paid for something that didn't solve my problem. Issue #3: 1-2 months after the door was installed, i noticed that pads at the foot of the door had ripped. I asked Mark to fix and his response was that he would send some pads in the mail for me to fix myself. It's been a month and I haven't seen any pads in my mailbox. I paid almost $6K for doorframe and door (which i still have to paint myself). For this amount of money I was expecting a better streamlined, worry-free experience.

I have never had such a horrendous experience with a company EVER. Unethical, predatory employees,…read morespineless owner. I reached out to several companies back in May 2024 as I thought there was an issue that required window replacement, but it turned out I could fix it with caulk so I did not proceed with any quotes. My quote was done by Jeff. During my quote session, Jeff made several comments that I took as a misunderstanding of social cues, but I now know were not. Two months after my initial quote, I received a text message from Jeff's PERSONAL device. Prior to this, he had only communicated with me via a work device. This text from Jeff was disturbing, inappropriate, and concerning from a safety perspective. Jeff ABUSED his access to customer data to hit on a customer nearly HALF his age. I was hesitant to reach out to the company as I did not know these men (The owner, Mark, and Jeff) and feared retaliation; however, I did not want this to happen to another young woman so I left a review through the BBB. Mark reached out within a few hours expressing his apologies and disgust with Jeff's actions and assured me Jeff would be fired first thing Monday morning. I spent the weekend beefing up my home security system just in case. Come Monday, I hear nothing. Which was fine at first. Tuesday morning, I received an email stating that Jeff was not fired, that Jeff was a "good man", it would "be a loss for us to have to let him go", and asked for my forgiveness. Our definitions of what make a good man are vastly different. I also let Mark know that I would not be manipulated into offering my forgiveness for the sake of politeness or either of their consciences. After letting Mark know of my disappointment, I was told that Jeff never meant to send the text but "accidentally" pressed send while editing the text. This does not explain how Jeff got my phone number on his personal device in the first place. The argument they may use was "there was a discussion about his motorcycle while he was in your home and wanted to follow up on that conversation" but I invite whoever reads this to put themselves in my shoes. A man whom I do not know is in my home and is rambling about his hobby. He already inappropriately hugged me when he saw I owned power tools. Would you feel safe as a petite woman telling a strange man twice your age and twice your size "no, I do not care about your bike. Please leave"? I have already told all of my friends never to use this business due to the lack of ethics and a spine from the owner and its' employees. Your personal information is not protected and enlisting this business to do work to your home is only putting yourself, your wife, your daughters, and your family at risk. My intention here is not to get Jeff fired, but to notify my neighbors and fellow Cobb residents that this business is untrustworthy. His actions regarding this matter are well within his rights as owner and they show his backwards priorities, lack of character, and bad morals. But it is also within my right to protect other women and homeowners in the Cobb area from people like this.
