I was told I would receive them after my appointment. While I was reading the several papers that needed to be signed, I came across the amount of $3400.00 for the mouthpiece I might possibly need. (A heads up so you are aware of the cost AHEAD of time!) After the "consultation" was completed, I asked about insurance coverage. Another individual came in to discuss insurance coverage. It was THEN, that I was told that my insurance would not cover any part of my initial consultation fee of $350.00 or the cost of the mouthpiece. Well, it didn't quite seem to be an upfront, informative way to let a patient know their ACTUAL insurance situation and I would be responsible for the entire cost. Beware!

I have a chronic, degenerative back condition, failed surgical syndrome, and a list of other conditions that are very painful to me. On the pain scale of 1-10 my pain was a 10. It was worse than labor. He was able to bring it down to a 6 for a while. That is incredible. I can live with a 6. It's certainly better than a 10. I was screaming and crying in my bed in pain before Dr. Gosy. I could not move. I could not do anything. I was contemplating suicide because the pain was horrific. The first thing he said was to stop crying because crying was only making things worse. He said we need to work together. I need to be 100% compliant with his regime. I need to communicate with him if I don't like the way a medication makes me feel. He said pain management was not intended to turn people into zombies. Dr. Gosy made a dream come true. I was able to attend my son's Bar Mitzvah on 5/2/2015. I was able to stand on the Bimah (altar) with him. I helped his father put his tallis (prayer shawl) on him. I touched the Torah. The waiting room looked like deaths waiting room . Everyone was strung out and slumped over waiting on refills and not one was ready to rehab themselves at PT . They literally handed out scripts like candy and one after another after another grabbed a prescription and bounced out. Kind of wonder about the lady that stunned her toe and got fentanyl patches and Percocet BUT hay ! Dr knows best ! Not sure I would recommend this place u less you need drugs !

Dr. O'Neil is amazing, she was able to effectively diagnose and start appropriate treatment for an issue that has just recently cropped up in a family member. So starting off, the office has a calm, peaceful vibe. Its not just the staff, the colors are muted and pastel, the music in the waiting room is calm, the staff is welcoming and the waiting room has something you almost never see in a doctors office: comfortable furniture. The Nurses and the Doctor herself are top notch also. My family member went in with a migraine brewing to a visit, and the nurses made the room dark as soon as they were done with triage and spoke quietly out of concern. The Doctor offered acupuncture (normally something they charge for) to stop it in its tracks. Now I don't know if I ever believe that stabbing yourself with thin needles is spots is a cure for anything, but within 10 minutes she felt the pressure diminish and within 15 minutes the pain was gone. This is just ancillary service btw, the actual issue that brought my family member in was nailed immediately and a proper course of treatment was started right away and that, I might add, started reversing much of the Symptomology immediately. I have been disabled for 10 years, and live in chronic pain. I had to transfer to a new doctor when my doctor left his practice. In the meantime, my pain medication was not timely renewed, and I went into withdrawal. As this opiate was a part of my pain management protocol, the other medications which are not opiates did not suffice. So, I am in horrible pain. So I call the office, which insisted on doing a drug test before prescribing. Two weeks go by and no call, no show. I contact them via the portal and ask for the medication and the results of the drug test. The Nurse is away, so nobody can help me. So a nurse is withholding my pain medication, without any explanation of why. This is not a practice that communicates effectively nor cares about patients. As the nurse was working under the "oversight" of Dr. Hitt, just like the nurses previously worked under the oversight of Dr. Gosy (who was accused of fraud for having nurses evaluate patients), I never met the doctor, and have no explanation of why I am being left in limbo. Unprofessional and unconscionable. Beware!

Dr. Gutierrez, at the practice, has no pain management training. Dr. Giglio, likewise, does not prescribe. So, we have a pain management practice that won't prescribe medications. I wonder if I can get a blow up pillow to deal with intractable migraine and chronic muscle spasticity. This is the DENT Tower, and if you're like me and have multiple doctors, multiple appointments, and approximately seventeen million reasons to be in a medical building... this place is basically my second home. Today I'm here for my yearly checkup with my neurologist. My doctor does my Botox injections and my trigger point injections, and actually, I'll be back here in just THREE DAYS for another appointment to get my Botox for migraines. Because apparently my head has decided it would like to be a full-time problem. ‍ One thing I really appreciate about DENT is that there are so many different services and specialists all in one building. I have doctors on multiple floors, so depending on the appointment, I'm basically riding the elevators like I work here. And yes, the building is wheelchair accessible, which is really important to me. Getting around a large medical building can be difficult enough without having to worry about whether you're actually going to be able to access the places you need to go. Now, I did bring my very important medical assistant with me today... Her name is Bambi. She is also apparently the Director of Atmospheric Changes. Because while I was trying to have a serious medical appointment... Bambi farted. Not a little toot. A FART. And the look on her face was basically, "I have no idea what you're talking about." Girl. I KNOW IT WAS YOU. So if you hear me laughing or see Bambi looking completely innocent in this video, just know there was an incident. Anyway, outside the building you'll see another part of my DENT experience, which is the Infusion Center. When my migraines won't go away and I need more aggressive treatment, I've been able to come here for migraine infusions. There are infusion services on two floors, so this is another really important part of my care. And I wanted to show this because DENT isn't just one doctor's office. It's a whole neurologic institute with different specialties and services throughout the building. And right here in between the infusion center and DENT, you'll also find a WellNow Urgent Care, which is convenient if you need urgent care while you're already in the area. So basically, this little stretch of Sheridan Drive has become one of my regular medical stops. Overall, I've had a lot of experience with DENT, and I really appreciate having access to neurologists and migraine treatment all in one place. If you're someone who deals with chronic migraines or other neurological issues, this is definitely a place you may want to look into. I had a sleep study ordered in October and I was told someone would call me which they did in March. And that was after I left multiple messages asking to schedule. A new medication prescribed on March 25th that required prior was not done until a month later and that wasn't due to Anthem BCBS or my pharmacy not advising Dent of this but because the nurse forgot. If I hadn't asked the nurse about another medication for my migraines the auth would never have been done. When I called to schedule my MRI the first available was 5 weeks out. Due to my claustrophobia I always have sedation which has been done by the nurses at Dent. When I scheduled the imaging I was told to arrive 1/2 an hour early for the sedation. Imagine my surprise when I get there to be told the sedation was actually sent to my pharmacy something the woman scheduling nor the nurse at dent told me was being done. The receptionist was unable to reschedule it because "dent doesn't train front desk on scheduling just check in and to call back to reschedule". After all of this I called early this morning and left a message for Kristen one of the managers. Instead of calling me back she had Mary Grace do it because as Mary Grace said Kristen was too busy to talk to me. I understand now I am just a paycheck for the staff at dent. With a high deductible plan I get text messages and a phone call prior to any visit about the cost for "care" and to make sure I have money in hand. I know I'm just a number to Dent but I would have hoped that they see patients as actual people and not just as dollar signs

A recent injury required me to receive an MRI after PT was not fully able to address and relieve the pain. That MRI report came back unremarkable, even though I had a concerning amount of pain and discomfort. My PCP scheduled an appointment with a different physiatrist who also claimed to have reviewed the film and said there was nothing wrong in the area of concern and that it was absolutely coming from a previous injury elsewhere. I was not content with his findings so I went to Dr. Geraci for a second opinion. What I immediately appreciated is that he performed a physical evaluation first to check for symptoms prior to reviewing the images and report in order to have an unbiased opinion. After the physical exam, he felt there was an issue in the area that initially came back unremarkable and then went to review the images. Within five minutes, he found the protrusions on the MRI images that everyone else missed. As a result, the report was re-reviewed and amended by another radiologist who concurred with Dr. Geraci's findings. Had I not gone to Dr. Geraci for a second opinion,, I'm not certain my injury would have healed and potentially could've gotten worse. Highly recommend.

I am a medical professional myself, so perhaps more sensitive to this than someone without medical education. Also, this is a long standing problem so don't tell me what/how I feel! He did send me for a special type of PT/pain management but the PT scheduling was erratic (no fault of PT or MD). When I went back to Geraci for reevaluation, he told me I may as well stop as it didn't do any good. I explained that it had been inconsistent & perhaps we should try it a bit longer. He waved me off, and offered no other treatment options. I waved him off and found a new physiatrist.
