I didn't know where to start, but I noticed that so many of Teresa's reviews had REAL results, like folks actually landing a new career after their time with her. Thankfully, I'm happy to report the same -- and wouldn't be able to say that without her. The Career Clarity Course is a great way to get your wheels turning on possible career changes, and it offers tons of great questions and quizzes to help open your mind to career paths you wouldn't have before. And when combined with in-person sessions with Teresa, it's an incredibly helpful set of tools, since she provides a ton of great, real-time feedback and support that's flexible to your situation. Basically, if you're on the fence like I was, just make the smart move and invest in Teresa's course. You definitely won't regret it!

I went to her for career guidance as I was at a major turning point in my life and unsure of what direction to head. She helped me find that direction by helping me identify what I really wanted and valued, what my possible paths were and additionally how my strengths fit into that equation. Mara felt like a trusted friend who guided me through a process of self-discovery and reflected back to me the strengths she saw in me. I think most importantly, she helped me wade through the uncertainty and feelings of feeling lost in my career direction. Career paths just felt like a cloud of confusion and having no idea what I wanted to do. She made me feel like we could navigate it and find direction, and we did. Additionally, I was going through some major difficulties in my personal life and while I've never been to keen on the idea of a life coach, I found her additional expertise in that area extremely beneficial. She always made sure to make it clear that it was up to me how we used our sessions; we could solely focus on the career path but I often chose to use our sessions tapping into her life coach skills as they proved extremely helpful during a very difficult time in my life. I highly recommend her as both a career and life coach!

We really started from the basics - finding out my likes, dislikes, and most importantly what I want most from my career, which personally was helping others. Mara helped me in so many ways than just finding my dream career. I will forever be thankful to her. She is so patient, kind, and just a wonderful person to know and work with. I'm very grateful.

I've parted ways with ACT-1 Entertainment Solutions for the third time now -- and in light of the…read morecircumstances of this latest exodus, I need to revise and update my testimonial. Let me first recount what Anna Browne Robinson told me last July regarding ACT-1's current status, because it has bearing on what followed. Basically, AppleOne acquired ACT-1 in a corporate merger just prior to the pandemic (which, incidentally, retroactively explains some of the problems I documented in my earliest testimonial). Then COVID happened and, unsurprisingly, everything went to hell. In the interim, ACT-1's basically been gutted and it's operations and accounts have be transferred to AppleOne's Glendale branch. Anna has inherited oversight and rebuilding of that account -- and therein lies the problem. As an outgoing client, it's my opinion that AppleOne erred here in assigning this particular manager to this particular account. Anna doesn't have an entertainment background and it's clear she's out of her depth and doesn't understand the industry. Worse, by her own admission, overseeing and rebuilding ACT-1's account is a secondary priority compared to her primary AppleOne work. She's unable and/or unwilling to put the time or energy into it. If anything, the impression I was left with is that Anna resents having this account foisted upon her and is deliberately doing the bare minimum in response. Anna was also unable to generate literally a single lead in the 6 months I tried working with her. Now, to be fair, the WGA/SAG Strikes last year disrupted the job market and ACT-1 got hammered. I'm NOT blind to that, or to the impossible situation she had to navigate. That said, I feel Anna could have done more to work around this or help me out. She refused to cross-market my resume for any non-entertainment roles and insisted her current clients only wanted ACT-1 veterans. She even had the temerity to ask if I'd just tried directly applying to entertainment jobs through their company websites (I very nearly hung up on her; in fact, this call was the last straw and precipitated my exit). Anna's professional behavior throughout all this was also just as frustrating. I stressed from the beginning of our collaboration that good communication and reliability were paramount given my previous experiences with AppleOne's Westwood branch (which I've covered in reviews on that page). Anna agreed...and then promptly did the exact opposite. I'm NOT exaggerating when I say it takes up to WEEKS to get her to respond to basic queries, voicemails, and messages. On at least one occasion, she stood me up on a conference call (one that took almost 2 weeks to set up) and ignored my emails trying to ascertain what happened or to reschedule -- at least until I made it clear she was forcing me to reevaluate my business relationship. THEN Anna got on the phone. On these occasions, Anna admitted she was either on vacation (without even bothering to notify clients she'd be out of the office and to make alternate arrangements) or she wasn't even bothering to check the ACT-1 email account on regular basis. And while Anna did ultimately did take responsibility for that conference call incident and admitted there was no excuse...she also never actually answered what had happened. By this point, it's now February and I've finally had enough. I had serious reservations about working with ACT-1 again after getting previously screwed over by Michelle Rossoff and Wanda Hallmark. But Anna seemed genuinely apologetic about my past experiences (and again the merger retroactively seemed to explain some of the problems last time). I was also desperate because of the Strikes and had to roll the dice. Well, just as I feared, I rolled snake eyes -- AGAIN. It doesn't matter that 4 years have passed, that the old guard has changed, or that there's been upheaval and reorganization. Literally NOTHING else has changed with ACT-1 Entertainment Solutions; the agency remains completely and utterly incapable of fulfilling the basic services it professes to advertise. It's absolutely INSANE; I genuinely don't understand HOW they're still in business or why AppleOne is tolerating this. So, in conclusion, I once more cannot recommend working with ACT-1, nor would I advise job seekers to work with Anna Browne Robinson (at least if you're approaching her for entertainment work; to be fair, I can't speak to her non-entertainment work). To AppleOne Management, here's my closing advice: I think it would be beneficial to all parties -- you, ACT-1, Anna, future clients, etc. -- if custodianship of the ACT-1 account and its rebuilding was to be reassigned to a different manager. It needs to be overseen by someone who actually HAS an entertainment background and knows the industry. It needs someone who can and will put the time and effort into rebuilding it, and who's going to make your clients feel valued and welcomed and not treat them like unwanted headcounts.

I was willing to do whatever it took to get back on my feet after numerous attempts at therapy whether it was through my insurance provider or private practice. I was a bit skeptical at first about hypnotherapy and life coaching because of the heavy price tag attached but here's what happened. We had a counseling session to see what was going on in my life and how we could go about regaining my clarity and confidence. She helped me realize that there was a lot of past trauma that I had to forgive myself coupled with the bitter truth that my self-destructive tendencies may not have been my fault but is ultimately my responsibility to address. I'm not too sure if the hypnotherapy programmed my subconscious that allowed me to take more action in my life than floating around. The month after our sessions I made more progress in regaining my health by choosing healthier foods and cutting out smoking. I also found a new hobby of swing trading and opening myself up to diversifying and growing my wealth from my savings, severance check and Unemployment Benefits. I ended up doing extremely well as I was confident in my buying and selling stocks by reading trends in the market and a little bit of intuition in the tech industry. Even if I was an emotional wreck I didn't let it affect my decision making when it came to trading. After a year later I have made much more progress in my personal development and career. I ended up founding my own marketing business, travel extensively as well as go on to work for other major companies within my career field.

As I am sure she will read…read moremy review below, and take no accountability, I do caution you all to be weary when working with her. At first, I did love Daisy, in that she felt like a very relaxed and chill person to work with, with a very holistic approach, She had me do a few personality assessments which I did enjoy. The thing is, these assessments went on for too long (multiple sessions) while no actual "real" work was being done. This part felt a bit redundant. When I expressed that I wanted a more direct approach and wanted to work solely on my resume, she was a bit annoyed by that. After all that back and forth she barley updated my resume. She added a "professional profile" at the top with 3 bullet points. I wouldn't call that much of an update, especially for the high cost that I was paying for her services. Lastly while Daisy at times is very soft-spoken, her tone and the way she addresses certain points with you I found a bit disrespectful and condescending. It felt more like criticism then actual guidance. This went on for a few sessions and while I tried to ignore it after the first session, it got to a point that something just had to be said to her. She offered no apology when I addressed this with her and took no accountability for her actions. ***I also found it very uncomfortable when she told me on our very first phone session together that she "didn't like her son's boyfriend and wished she could just go away." I didn't find this comment very professional nor did I even ask about her personal/family life.

So sorry Daisy, but…read moreyou won't find this name in your records In 2018, I saw Daisy under the instruction of my mother, despite having slight misgivings with the concept of life coaching, I went to one appointment and my misgivings turned to complete distaste. Daisy was extremely unhelpful, made comments about my appearance that were unwarranted, talked entirely from her own perspective, and told me tangents about her personal life that I did not need to know (namely, about her younger boyfriend at the time). And THEN, suggested that maybe I also join the program that she used to become a "licensed" life coach. Are you kidding? That screamed pyramid scheme to me. You tell me you'll help me with my "career" and then you want me to join yours? BS dude. I found the program, and then I looked deeper into "life coaching" as an industry after two years later, I found out she's still seeing family members of mine. Life coaching has no official credentials from accredited institutions, life coaches do not have to follow HIPPA guidelines (such as confidentiality) and at worst? Life coaches manipulate you into joining scamming programs and taking all your money. And yes, as other reviews state, time with this woman costs an arm and a leg I'm making sure to not only never use this woman's services, but to encourage the people in my life to not use them either.
