Since I chose Cadence based on reviews, I wish just one parent was honest with the issues going on…read morehere for apparently many years even before we arrived. This place is a logistical mess. They are short staffed constantly putting care into constant question and they have to rotate students who can't come to school that day because they don't pay their staff enough at all to stay. Teachers leave all the time. New ones come in, then leave shortly after. They're good with the kids, but for the astronomical cost that they keep raising, Cadence should come with peace of mind at least that you'll be able to get to work and know your children are being cared for by happy teachers who aren't overworked and underpaid, and constantly rotated so there is no bond formed. The gaslighting by the director on how this "isn't that bad" is obnoxious and insulting. On top of all this, they'll keep accepting new students and taking your money although they can't even handle the enrollment they have. It's all about money here. Interesting note: another Cadence location in the area had a teacher walkout because of pay and lack of training, so this is a pattern in this company. They're based in AZ and aren't local. And no matter what Cadence tells you, this is NOT NORMAL. There are a multitude of preschools in the area who do not put parents through this circus. I would highly advise you look elsewhere. This school is not at all worth the hassle. I've included photos of just a fraction of the "short staff" emails we recieved and that they're limiting classes that day or a warning that you may not be able to count on them for the day. If you have a very flexible schedule with work and don't need to follow any sort of structure in your personal life, this is the place for you. And to the teachers who do stay longer than a few weeks: you're saints and you should be paid a living wage.

The staff is so wonderful and my daughter loves going. At two years old she comes home talking about her friends and all the things she did that day. It also helps to have updates throughout the day so you can see what they are learning. We are truly blessed to have this place and Mrs. Nancy and Mrs. Reagan are AMAZING! We wouldn't want our munchkin attending anywhere else.

I didn't want her in the concrete jungle that schools have become. Even more spectacular is the teaching staff at GHA, and the supporting administration. The teachers give everything they have to their classes every day. The kids are so excited to go to school they can't wait for the doors to unlock in the morning. My daughter is excelling in this supportive environment. The staff knows every child that attends and every parent who comes to campus. We are committed to investing in our daughter's future at this school. We know it will equip her to excel in any environment as she develops her passion for learning and seeking information for herself. She is already comfortable and adept at presenting herself in front of groups. She is thoughtful and creative in her writing. Her fellow students are supportive, and her adventures in learning astound us every day. Visit the campus, you will be glad you did. Speak to the teachers, they will give you their time. Everyone on that campus cares about the school. It is a school with a soul.

I am combining my review so review/updates are all in one post…read more -10/19/2021: Today was my 2 year old daughter's 1st day at Dee's. I transparently informed Dee(the owner) about my daughter's developmental and verbal delays (she is Autistic). Dee assured me she had worked with children with delays in the past. At home we'd been working with an SLP & OT, who thought my daughter would benefit from exposure to her peers, as she hadn't been around other kids due to COVID. -When I dropped her off she was so happy! Dee wasn't there, her husband was. What he relayed about what I said/did or didn't say/do is beyond my control. I did remove my daughter from the 18 in tall table she hopped on. Less than 3 hours later, Dee text me asking if there was another way to communicate that climbing on the table was not okay. I called our occupational therapist we've been working with to see if she had suggestions. While on the phone, Dee text again telling me my daughter was no longer welcome at her facility because she crawled out of the pack and play provided for children still in cribs. I believe Ike cribs would be more suitable/safer for a childcare facility w/ 12 kids under 4 and a staff of 3-4. When I told our OT about the text I received, she remarked, 'A childcare professional should know it takes more than 3 hours for a child to adapt to new routines & expectations. It takes about 2 weeks! You need to get her out of that place!'" -Climbing is a superpower for development! It's a critical activity as climbing helps in developing gross motor skills, coordination, and balance. For toddlers, activities like climbing small structures or soft play areas are ideal. -I picked her up three hours after I had dropped her off. My daughter's shoes were on the doormat, and her bag was at the door. Dee said, "She is so busy, woof." I said nothing and gathered my daughter and her stuff. Dee said, "she just climbed right out of that playpen." I left without a word, irate that a "professional" was shaming my toddler for....being a toddler. -Later in a text, Dee explained that she did not have enough staff (her two daughters and her husband) for "one child could never be looked away from..." THREE HOURS. Dee has ZERO formal early childhood education, which might help her understand that a 2-year-old who has never been in a social situation/daycare because of a pandemic is unlikely to adapt to new social norms/rules immediately. Had she given my daughter a few days, she would have been able to follow the routine and expectations. -Dee Hubert kicked my autistic 2 year old out of her facility for doing activities that are normal and healthy for a 2 year old. I do NOT recommend this facility. I thought the hefty price tag (which is more than a private daycare in DuPont) was worth it because of the smaller size and play-based structure. My daughter doesn't bite, pinch, hit, kick or push and was likely busy because she was excited about all of the new stimuli. -Ms. Hubert had to post her response to my review of her business twice because her first response used my 2-year-old's full name, which is against the law. As a state-licensed child care facility owner, Ms. Hubert knows what COPPA laws are. She blatantly broke child internet safety laws. I asked Ms. Hubert via voicemail and text to take my minor child's name off the Internet. She ignored me, so I reported it to Yelp, who removed her response immediately. ****The most heartbreaking part of all of this is that in retaliation to my 1-star review, Ms. Hubert reported me to Child Protection Services (CPS) for abuse and neglect. She only reported me, not my husband, which indicates that Ms. Hubert reported me not out of legitimate concern but with lies that I could prove were untrue and would have won a lawsuit for Defamation. I was able to provide CPS with all correspondence between Ms. Hubert and myself, which proved that Ms. Hubert filed a deceitful, malicious, fraudulent report. This made me so angry because I had poured all my mental, emotional, and physical energy into my daughter and her delays. I was livid that Dee intentionally tied up CPS's time from children who legitimately needed their help. Dee knew what she was doing, and what we would have to go through. My oldest daughter sobbed begging me not to let them take her away from them. Dee knew that I would stay in the CPS system for 6 years. 12/4/21: Our caseworker called and told me that they had found no evidence of abuse or neglect. She said that her and her supervisor knew it was a fraudulent report the moment they received it, but by law they had to do an investigation. Then she asked me to be a Court Appointed Child Advocate. She had seen my integrity and selflessness and said they needed people like me.

She makes it clear that she is the owner and if you have a difference in opinion your child will be dismissed from her school. If your child is injured on their watch they will not take responsibility nor do they find it necessary to contact you after the incident. They wait until the parent arrives to pick up the child that day to view the injury ,explain what had happened, and then give out an incident report (which is standard) for the parent to sign. They operate on the CYA policy. Even if it is a "very hard fall." The owner makes it very clear that she wants your business but doesn't need it. She lets you know that there is a wait list to get into her school. So if you don't fit their criteria, demographic, or criticize (the way they care for your child) then there's someone in line waiting to take your place. Money in money out. They don't consider that because of a parent staff conflict the child is the one who suffers. Not just in the case of an injury but also because of a change in the child's regiment and development. Don't get me wrong I like the school and I like the teachers but the owner is a big problem.

Molly is a highly experienced and professional business owner. She cares for the children as individuals, communicates to the parents as family, and treats the staff with complete appreciation and care. While working there, my daughter attended the daycare, starting in the toddler class and moving onto the two older classes. I was so happy to have her in such a loving environment. They went above and beyond what a daycare is. They not only kept her safe and busy, they also made sure her individual needs were met (she needed a longer nap time than others and they also worked with me on my request of reducing her thumb sucking) they taught her a wonderful preschool education (she was reciting the entire pledge of allegiance AND writing her name clearly at the age of 3!) She learned to care for her peers and respect adults. They also had fun "beach days", teddy bear picnics, and annually have the fire department come by to talk to the children about safety and let them tour the fire truck. The toys are constantly being cleaned and rotated. They made sure specific health requests were met, from medications to allergies. When bringing your child here, this daycare facility feels more like an extended family because of the small class sizes and caring staff. I highly recommend this wonderful business to families who want the best for their children!
