I have lived here for over a year now. I moved from a complex in Scottsdale that had LOTS of issues. I looked for over a month to ensure I moved to a new complex that met my needs and didn't have the same issues. I hit the jackpot here!
The unit itself is very nice (my only complaint is that there is water damage on some of the cabinets in the kitchen and some of the drawers don't stay on track/roll very smoothly so they could use some updating for the price of rent I pay). That said, the open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, wood-like flooring, nice carpet, and really just everything else is lovely.
The complex has a lot of nice amenities. There is a gorgeous pool with a grill area that is very nice. A very nice fitness center, community area with pool table, shuffle board (newly added), ping pong, and a very well equipped business center (I've used the printer up there and it is very easy to connect to and SUPER helpful, since most people don't have those at home any more). The complex is kept clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful: Xavier is awesome and Brittany is top notch!
I've submitted 2 work orders, since living here, and both have been handled quickly and effectively. When they need to enter your apartment for any reason, they let you know plenty of time in advance and they ALWAYS work with me (I have a dog and she is a little spastic and I work from home, so they will sometimes let me know when during the window they will be coming to my building).
I had an issue once with the amount of early morning dog barking that happened (I live right next to the dog park), and it was handled kindly and appropriately with an email to the community asking people to consider others when using the dog park in the morning/later in the evening. Brittany was very respectful of my concerns and took them seriously, and that meant a lot to me. Since IMT took over, there have been more updates/upgrades and community events (paint nights, Mother's Day flowers, a dog park event, Father's Day, adding a nice shuffle board) and we just received notice they are upgrading the dog park more, adding shading to the lovely BBQ area, and cameras at the gates. I also appreciate the package room. My old complex would keep them at the front office and by the time I was done with work, they were closed, so I had to be on their schedule to get my packages.
I whole-heartedly disagree with the other reviews (though everyone has a right to their opinion, so I respect that) and want to address a few of them. Smoking is going to happen no matter where you go, and to try and "catch" those doing it, is close to impossible. Even if you notify management WHEN it is happening (which is often when they are off/late in the day) they cannot enter a unit without prior notice. I know exactly who does it in my building, and it drives me nuts, but I do not want to have to pay for a "smoking patrol" person, and instead would hope that with reminders from management and with people being adults and if they know who is doing it, addressing it respectfully via a note on their door or a conversation, then you hope it will stop. As far as the break-in goes, I also live in that building, and all I will say is that there were a lot of oddities around the incident, and I don't believe all the FACTS were represented in that other post. My garage is near, the deadbolt was engaged (the one broken into was not), and I had no issues at all. I also come home late (11 pm or later) often and walk my dog at that time and have NEVER seen homeless people walking around. If there is a shady looking character that lives in the complex, you can't assume it's a homeless person. Finally, the dog park is a dog park. Could they empty the trash of dog feces more...sure! Could the people that live here and have a dog have some class and pick up their own dog poop IN THE DOG PARK where bags are literally 10 feet away from them...sure!!! You can't blame the complex for the behavior of other people!!!
Apologies for the lengthy review, but when I was looking for a new place to live (and with the price of rent right now), I felt someone might want to know more about what it is like living here. read more
