Our home seems safe enough, we will see. The contractors hired must be the lowest of the low bidders. They do not have even the slightest work ethic. All concrete work is horrible! our front porch has actual holes in it. They patched them but with a black patch and it looked horrible. I know for a fact that the concrete patch comes in colors. Our driveway has deep gouges and lots of discoloration. Per our contractor laying tile the foundation is not level. Several people have had their entire driveways replaced. The person who designed the kitchen has probably never cooked a meal in their lives. The appliances are cheap. The oven is under the counter. It is not a stove. I wish it was! It is a wall oven placed under the counter. It is very low and not that easy to see in to the oven to check on your dish. Our oven broke in the first month. The cabinets are cheap and are put on backwards, for instance the upper cabinet doors next to the cook top opened away from the cook top. NEVER have I ever had a cabinet next to the cooktop open away instead of towards. No cabinet handles. When you are cooking soup or something steamy the water accumulates on the microwave and drips into your pot! Extreme poor planning! The painters are every bit as horrible as the concrete people. There are drips on the tile and carpet around every single room. We have been scraping the tile since we moved in January 2023 and the carpeted bedrooms are being tiled as I write this. The electrical work is suspect, too. My husband was installing a fan and in two rooms the wiring was not correct. Scary The landscapers are also horrible. How they decided to put the plants in the order they did is bizarre. It makes no sense at all. Our 1 tree is dead. It was most likely dead when we moved in. Trees are not warranted so they will not replace it. Every other house on our street has a tree that is green. Ours still looks like January. Our lot was not leveled before the sod was put down. It was very dangerous to walk on. We finally hired someone to level it with Dyno Dirt. It is looking much better. The sod is 6" apart in some areas. We are about to put seed down. Again, the work is absolutely pitiful! The shower is teeny! We have already had it and the ridiculous tub taken out and a large shower built. We love it. read more

The home I purchased from Impression Homes was thrown up with no regard to the owner. Anytime I had a problem, I was told it was not their problem and things were to code. I had a written statement from the electrical company acknowledging that it was to code but really wouldn't work with how the built it. The drainage wasn't right between the homes and would flood. The builder built AC pads across from each other so a lawn mower couldn't get through the side yard. The builder said.... I gave you gates on both sides. Doesn't solve the problem of the side yard. Rebar was sticking out of the foundation and the dirt was eroding under the corner of the house. Builder said it was cosmetic and told me to put dirt up under there. Bathroom fixtures weren't working correctly after 6 months. Not the builders problem. Warranty was out on that. Impression homes is the worst builder I have ever dealt with. I would never buy a house from them! There is no value for whatever you pay if the electric doesn't work correctly and the builder stands behind nothing. They didn't even clean it before I moved in. read more

I have lived in my Aledo Impression Home for 25 months, we have replaced each appliance that was installed, along with a bathroom tile fireplace facing that was hideous in appearnace. If there was money -saving shortcut, they took it. An absolute total lack of craftsmanship- I have spent over $70,000 making things tolerable and have the receipts to prove it. Horrible builder, Bryan don't know what he is doing for and gets mad at me for making warranty request because he told me no that they can't fix a warped wall, lighting, foundation. Garage. Even verbally disrespecting and yelling inside my house early in the morning. Even Howard the VP himself can't even help me I can't get this guy to stop talking about his problem before I can get to what needs to be done in the house. I bought a $300 house that has a driveway with 4 different colors of concrete. I ask them to fix it and was given a big no. My house now is the eye sore of the neighborhood. This is a brand new house and should look so. But instead it looks a mess and I'm embarrassed to even have guest. Don't spend your money here, you will get a subpar product. Our home-buying experience with IH was something I do not wish on anyone. In short, our experience had parts of that of other reviewers. It makes me think that maybe this is a pattern with IH. They just do not seem to take their word or their customers seriously. They couldn't even bring in the dirt to repair a 2-foot drop from the back patio (concrete) to the yard and make it safe! I am so regretful to have purchased a home through Impression Homes or having any kind of build from them. Me and my husband purchased a brand new home from Impression Homes and we found out through contractors that they cut a lot of corners when building the homes and they are notorious for that in the contractor community. We do now need a completely new roof 1 year in because the material they used was so low quality it couldn't hold up to rain. To RAIN! I have leaking on one of my rooms and the entire roof needs repair. The room also needs to have sheetrock removed and replaced due to molding because of that. I've had many issues besides that but that was the most upsetting so far. You think we paid enough with the sticker tag and now we have to invest money barely 1 year in to renovate things they failed us on. I also found out that they will get inspectors that are theirs and will look the other way when it comes to poor material or poor work. They do the absolute minimum to build a house they're trying to fill their pockets with as much revenue with no interest to quality. DR Horton has a pretty bad reputation with homes and this company is right there with them. They are just not as well known. If you are purchasing a home at all times ask for your own inspector who will look out for you. Yes, that will come out of your own pocket but you will save yourself such a headache down the road and these companies like Impression are counting on you not spending an extra couple hundred so they can get away with sub par work. If you are ever purchasing a home I would be weary of any Impression Homes Build. The only other company that I trust is Antares as that was my first home and that was built so incredibly well. I really regret not going with them again. A home purchase is a big purchase and you should be aware of these predatory companies that take advantage of people. read more

We went under contract for a new build. One thing after another happened but the final straw was the tile not being laid properly. We reached out to ask if they would be willing to fix it and never got an answer. The sales guy called our agent to offer money off but that doesn't FIX the tile. We've reached out numerous times and no response. They cancelled the contract and kept our 6k earnest money. We feel like our only option is to contact an attorney and fight! They had it in the contract about the tile.... They didn't uphold it. They tell me that "things can change during construction". True ... But it needs to be signed off on by the buyer and the builder; otherwise why is there a contract? Maybe someone at"IMPRESSION" homes will finally reach out to us. read more

Their townhouse design was what drew my interest. Not perfect but close enough. However, the owner builders have, too, succumb to greed and market trends. They've begun to cut construction corners and more interestingly, increased their pricing by over $50K in 3 months. read more

Please do not use IMPRESSION HOMES to build your home. They will lie about the property just to get you to sign, then will say they do not have to honor anything they said unless it was in paper. They do not care about their customers and did nothing to try and make our situation right...which was their sales associate Rick Moore lying to us (our realtor was present) about the lot we bought, then his boss Mark Ellis telling our realtor we would get nothing back. Mark Ellis or anyone at Impression Homes DID NOT contact us to try and resolve the issue. They got our hard earned money, will sell our dream home that we have been saving to buy for years, and will still get their profit plus another victims earnest money. When I did list several items that should be corrected, they refused to correct. I am concerned about the poor job in cleaning up the slab foundation overpour. At one point we contacted corporate and spoke to the owner Bruce. He basically told my wife and I that he sells so many houses a year that it didn't matter if a handful were upset as there are plenty in-line behind us. Had we not been living at a family members house waiting on this house to be built, we would have sought another builder. In addition, full of excuses as to why warranty items cannot be addressed. He was more interested in being on his computer than having good customer service towards us. I caught him sizing me up, possibly wondering if I could afford the homes. Not even a kiss my butt, middle finger or anything. We had high hopes from Impression Homes and picked the perfect lot to build. I personally asked the salesmen several times, as did my realtor, if there was any chace they would build behind our house and everytime we were assured it was a green space. A month before closing we find out not only are they going to build, but even bring the other neighbors fence line around the opposite side of our yard. I guess we should have know how this would go as their salesman thinks its funny to make sexist and racial jokes about my Korean American wife. After asking to speak with Mark Ellis the supervisor with no response, my realtor was able to get in touch with him. Once finding out about the concerns/issues we have he has still yet to reach out. Apparently he spoke with the president of the company and they couldn't care less. I hope they enjoy our money while we try to recover from this experience. It shows the character of the company from the bottom to the top when they can't even attempt to speak with us or see what they could do to make it right. We will make sure nobody goes with Impression and those that have, sorry this didn't happen sooner so you could at least have a heads up. read more

I wish that I could give less the 1 star. Impressions Homes is horrible in so many ways. We closed on our house back in Oct 2016 and in our walk though, I notice sub floor issues on my second floor. They had to come back twice, and it still is not done. They stated that they will put this in my file so that when it gets worst they will have record of it. But this past Aug 2018 we started to notice that in one of our first-floor rooms that a water stain was appearing. Few months later it gets bigger. I called Impression Homes and Bobette informs me that my roof is no longer under my 1-year warranty. A few months go by and the stain gets worst, I go ahead and call my home insurance company. They come out and deny my claim do to faulty insulation by builder. So, I then called Bobette back and I went off. She wanted to inform that that everything was green tagged by the city and was approved to go forward on building. So, I called the city - they informed me that green tag does not mean anything but that a city worker came out look (just to make sure it LOOKS right) and leave. That they do not go on top of any structure or measure anything. They just look to make sure it looks right. I call two roofing companies that I got of the BBB website. Both companies came out (different times/days), they both agree that the builder did not do a good job. That there was over nailing of shingles, exposed nails, shingles that was not laid right and that the nails that are exposed are now rusting. But let me say this, there was some light hail damage but not enough to file a claim. So now I call Howard Koch, the head of construction. He requests that I send him the insurance report and that we can then set up a meeting. I request in this meeting that I, my husband and the roof of my choice be there. Howard and his roofer came out. Don't knock on my door but get on my roof and start to remove shingles were the leak is. My roofer pulls up and catch them in the act and get us to come out. Howard's roofer goes to state that we/ the home owner had a ROCKED NAIL that somehow came out and that what was causing the leak. Howard then goes on to say that he will repair that area and cover the exposed nails with clear sealant but that's all that they can do because my roof is out of warranty. Now who knew that ONE nail could ROCKED out of a roof (just one)? I bring up that my home insurance and the inspector that came out state" that my drywall in that room need to be replace" Howard refuse, stating that I (myself) need to just kilts it and paint over it. He also states that "we are going to agree to disagree" on this matter. That he will send a third-party roofer out for their insight on this matter. So, the next day Howard's roofer comes out and place a meter plate over the exposed area that they removed my shingles (without our permission) and that was it. They did not paint it to bend it to our roof nor did they did he care. He informed me in writing via email "That I will need to paint it if I want it to bend". This is how they care about the customer who purchase their homes. Also told me that if I want my roof repaired, I need to fight this with my home owner insurance and not them because my roof does have hail damage. The third-party roofer comes out and say to us that he sees that Impression tried to cover up but he could not give us the report but we would need to have Howard forward it to us. His report states that he does not see builder neglect (who would have figured he would) but wind damage. Where did wind damage come in at? Not hail but wind on top of that. I call up my insurance company and they send out another inspector (a different one not the same person) and they too say "that my roof was done horrible and that this is faulty insulation by the builder and that he does see that they tried to cover it up by my roof was still done incorrectly" "That faulty insulation removes all warranties because they weren't done right in the first place. That Impression Homes should not calm out of warranties when they did not do it right in the first place." Second calm was denied stating not enough nature damage to file but FAULTY INSULATION throughout the roof by builder. Today (3/22/19) my husband called Bruce Heikkine (the owner). Bruce states that he back Mr. Howard Koch 100% on his judgments and that there is no need for him to read the emails nor the insurance report or see the pictures. My husband cussed him out!! Here is the bottom line - Impression Homes don't care. They use cheap products, just to get you through the warranty stage (maybe not even that long). Impressions Home will tell you is that everything was certified to standard guild lines and green tagged by the city, just to cover up.There should be no way that my house should have roof damage and ceiling damage if they did my roof the right way. Looking into doing a lawsuit. Please don't let them do you the same way, find another builder. read more
